Re: Crap!

Acetone melts superglue- is found in many nail polish removers.

Good luck!

Re: Crap!

I have some interesting stories about super glue, but I'm keeping them to myself.  Let's just say, there is photographic evidence out there somewhere! lol.

When super glue dries, it is hard to get off.  Best to attempt removal before it has had time to dry.

If removing the superglue with warm water and soap doesn't work when it is wet, then place some toilet paper, tissues or a piece of paper over each hand to prevent the hands sticking together.  Once done, take them to the hospital for better treatment.  It isn't just the fact that the glue is stuck, there are highly toxic chemicals in super glue that can be absorbed through the skin into the blood stream.

I hope by now, the glue is gone and your daughters hands are ok.

Re: Crap!

do you have metho or nail polish remover at home?  if you do that will remove it easier, turps does the same but hardly anyone has that.

anything alcohol based will remove all sticky things,  i have metho handy around the house as it has so many purposes. it comes in handy after little sticky fingers have touched windows or spilt drinks on tiles.  just keep it out of little fingers reach or lock it up.

hope this helps

Re: Crap!

Oooppps,I have done this!  Cream, lotion is the gentlest, just keep rubbing the cream into her hands and it will lift the glue, takes a while but it does work. Good Luck!

Re: Crap!

I did this as a child myself big sisters fault, soak her hands in hot soapy water well as hot as you can it will tk a while, a quicker option is acetone or i think any nail varnish remover the fumes are yuk so if you have cotten wool soak that put it to skin and wrap hands in clingfilm or foil it will still take a good hr...

good luck xx

Not sure but if you ring the ER the triage nurse can tell you
