Washed & soaked sick all over clothes & towels, how do I get rid of smell?

I have soaked son's clothes in disinfectant and with the surf powder, warm water. Then I put in the washing machine and washed as normal and added a cup of vinegar.  They look really clean but still smell of vomit.  What can I do?  The bathroom and floors still smell also after scrubbing with disinfectant and mopping.

Just wondering if you've tried soaking in lemon juice and hot water?  Or maybe an orange scented disinfectant? Just throwing some ideas at you, hope they help you a little.

I hate that too!!!!! I found that the website www.savingmum.com.au is great for tips on EVERYTHING and I know that they say using soda water on the carpet gets rid of the smell so I dont know if it would work on tiles or clothes its worth a try!!! I hope you find something that does you poor darling.

Eucalyptus Oil, best thing ever!  Put a capful in your washing machines fabric softener dispenser and put some on your floors and mop with it.

Oh dear you poor thing!  I don't have a fool proof answer - but I find vanilla works for almost everything.  If you have a vanilla candle - burn it (supervised) in the bathroom to decrease the smell.  I hate the air-o-zone air fresheners - but maybe a spray or too may mask the smell.  Leave the window open?

Put a few drops of vanilla essence in a cup of water, and rewash the clothes.  If you are able, hang them outside to dry, as the sun will also help.

Good luck - the smell will dissapate - otherwise all us mothers would be smelling for years.
