did this happen to you?

After having children, did your back hurt alot and make your leg bones ache?

Since iv'e had my child, My back has given me alot of trouble and now my legs are doing the same thing (from my knee to my ankle aches). I did put alot of weight on during my pregnancy, but i am now back to pre-pregnancy size.

I just feel like my whole body is sore and that im the only one.

Re: did this happen to you?

Yes!!!

The best advice I can give is to go to a good physio and or osteopath. They can help realign everything and give you exercises to strengthen muscles to help support your back. The pain in your leg could well be sciatica and it's horrible!!! I have had it on and off even prior to pregnancy. Since seeing the osteopath, it was great. After I had bub, I had terrible back pain and sciatica. I couldn't get to the osteopath as he was 1000k.m away as we had moved. I can't do chiropractors( the cracking sensation makes me tense up and more harm is done than good!)  so I sought out a good physio and the relief was terrific! Another option is remedial massage, which will offer relief, however unless the problem is corrected, then the pain will keep coming back. Good luck!

Re: did this happen to you?

Oh the pain I remember it sooo well

I suffered from extremely bad back pain for about 3 months after the birth of my daughter because the majority of my contractions were in my back.

It was so bad, to get out of bed I had to roll and slowly get myself up and even when I was standing up my posture was crooked and leaning to one side, I felt so old.

I did some back strengthing exercises 3 times a day and used heat packs all the time and then it was like one day I woke up and my back was normal again

Re: did this happen to you?

I  too suffered from back pain after having my daughter and has been exaggerated since being pregnant again. I never put mine down to the pregnancy weight or the weight of the baby as she was of average weight and I never suffered back pain while I was pregnant. I put mine down to the epidural I had as I still have what looks like a blue bruise at the sight of the epidural and the pain seems to radiate from there.

Did you have an epidural?

Yes this did happen to me after I had my Daughter. The pain was so awful.I was trying to bond with my daughter and try to breast feed her but it hurt so much.I found it a very hard time but i used heat packs and panadol.I also when i could raised my legs on some pillows and also between my knees i would put a pillow there so it would help.

I know i didnt really help but i hope it helps a little.Congratulations on your bubs and hope all the best for the future.

I still get hip and back pain.

I think some ppl carry well and some dont.

If it gets too bad see a doctor as you might need to see a chiro or phsiyo

Re: did this happen to you?

yes it did in the end i couldnt walk at all, i went to a chiroprator, she went over my body and totally  fixed me. she said that the strain of the baby and then the strain of birth can sometimes displace bones and they dont come back to the right palce.......  go to a chiroprator they can and will fix it up. also after you've been to the chiro a couple of times and everything feels better go and get a couple of massages, they will do wonders for your body and it will release the built up toxins that happens when giving birth... goood luck
