Hi if it was chicken pox they will turn into blisters and they will pop and you will get sores all over.

Re: chicken pox

thank you so much, that sounds like my daughter she was up two or three times last night screaming that she was itchy and nothing worked a warm bath with bi carb was enough to get her back to sleep. Her eyes lids are very red and puffy. she has a doctors appointment this morning so we will find out what is wrong hopefully.

Re: chicken pox

every child reacts differently to chicken pox.  The symptons range from fever, vomiting, all the way to extream itchyness.  The rash will look like a bunch of little pimples.  There are lotions you can buy at any drug store.  You can ask your doctor for the best kind for your son.  Also try to explain that scratching isn't good due to the fact it can cause a scar.

If the rash don't look like pimples, then try to do a little googling.  It maybe scarlet fever, viral rash, or even a heat rash from the fever.

Best of luck!

Rebecca

Re: chicken pox

When my children had chicken pox, the rash had little blisters on them. When these broke it left a scabby spot. They did have an accompanying fever at the onset of the rash and the sores were very itchy. Do take your daughter for a second opinion though if you are not happy with the hospital's diagnosis...always best to be sure. If it is chicken pox, then calamine lotion is soothing. You can also run the hot water for her bath through a muslin bag of oats attached to the tap....this is also very soothing for the itch. Hope this has helped a bit.
