My baby started kicking when she was 24 weeks, so no worries darling...

+ you can drink a cup of cold water that will make the baby move ....

Hey I couldn't feel my baby kick until around 20/21 weeks. It took about 3-6 weeks after that until he kicked hard enough for my partner to feel.

According to Babycenter.com mums usually feel their baby kick around 16-22 weeks.

At 16 weeks I could feel what felt like little butterfly flutters in my lower abdomen. I could experience this sensation by laying flat on my back and meditating or sitting at the computer, rested without distractions.

I did get a lot of pain in my left hip but the doctor told me it was because my son favoured that side.

I never experienced any period like pain so probably best to update your doctor or midwife.

I'm so excited for you. It was a beautiful experience being pregnant for the first time!

xx

P.S - My doctor told me if I was worried about lack of movement to drink a glass of cold water to get him moving.

It does depend on the position of your baby as too how much movement you will feel.  If they are facing your back, then the movements will be less noticable, but if bubs is facing towards the front, then it will be nonstop.

By this stage in your pregnancy, you should be feeling quite strong, definite movements, and having about 10 every 12 hours or so.  I would recommend that you go and see your doctor about the lack of movements, as it could mean they have your due dates off.

Fetal movement rates go up and down.  Some days you will have lots, other not so many.

A trick to get bubs moving and grooving away is to drink sugary drinks or to eat ice.  Has worked with all 5 of mine, but then the trick was to get them to stop.

some people explain there first kicks as a feeling of butterflies in your stomach so the little rumbles as you called them could well be your little one letting you know there in there and depending on the position of the baby is to how much you can feel your babies movements if you are really concerned see your doctor who will send you for an ultrasound to put your mind at ease.

i agreee with the advice below.  i have had 3 pregnancies and every one has been different.  if you ar really worried just drop in at the doctors or antenatal clinic and they will listen for the heartbeat for you to check everything is ok as worrying is no good for either of you!  hope all goes well for you!

Re: has not kick yet im worried

congratulations on your pregnancy  I agree with diesel05 - if you're worried see a doctor or visit the hospital. Your child is too precious to you. It may just be your body 'stretching' to accomodate your baby and you may not be able to feel your baby because of the position of your placenta, but those little rumbles (a bit like gas) are most likely your wriggling baby . Go and ask a professional though - you can't be too careful.

I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy and a healthy and happy child.

XOXO

Those little rumbles your feeling are more than likely your baby. It's hard to tell when it's your first baby not sure what to look for.  I would take your self off to the docotr or hospital though just to ease your mind otherwise you'll stress and thats not good either.  Sometimes you have cramping down the side, as your liagmanets start to strech.
