moving and pregnancy

ok as most of you know we're moving and doing it when I'm around the 36-37 week mark. Now I'm not doing the lifting or anything like that so don't worry. The question I have is, we are moving a fair distance (nearly 3 hours one way OMG) and I'm still suffering the morning sickness.... so any idea's on how I might be able to make the trip/s there and back a little easier. YAY no more sunshine coast... sorry little excited to be leaving.

thanks all,

fi xoxo

Re: moving and pregnancy

Hi,  I would reccomend the glaced ginger or ginger beer, and a ginger tea, I must say it wasn't fantasic for me but loads of people swear by it.  You can also get the wrist bands for pressure points from your chemist, save you using both hands, then you can get on with you day with one on each wrist!  That worked for me.  But if all else fails there are antinausea drugs you can get from your doctor that work great.  I know drugs are not the best when your pregnant but I used them with my second pregnany and got a lot of relief from them.

Anyways all the best with the move, we've just arrived to the Sunshine Coast from Tassie!  Way too hot here!!!

:)

Re: moving and pregnancy

Thank you for your answers. Green Tea I haven't tried yet but will do now that's for sure. As for the ginger, has done nothing for me..... I wish it did lol. I will be trying the pressure point though, infact I'm giving it a go before we even move. Anything for some relief!!! Thank you once again

fi xoxo

Re: moving and pregnancy

I find Green Tea is so good, the is something in it that just relaxes you. I was having it in morning and I could not work it out why I was getting tired, so I went to the doctor and asked why I was getting tired every time I had Green Tea.And he said there is something about it, it relaxes you. If you are conside,go online and type green tea. and it gives you all this information on it. I this helps. And good luck with your moving. Love Karen.

Re: moving and pregnancy

There is a pressure point on your wrist that will help with motion sickness,  put three fingers on your wrist (palms turned up)  and make sure your first one is kinda touching your hand part (sorry really bad at explaining all this but I can show you easily!!LOL)   ok... so you got your 3 fingers on your wrist and just there where your index finger si halfway covering up( about half where your finger is and half where it is not... in the middle of your wrist, not going towards a side or anythign.)   use yoru finger ro thumb and aply pressure... it doesnt have to be much but jsut kinda firmly so the bumps wont knock it off... that is a really good pressure point for motion sickness!   if you need me to explain better please send me an email, I knwo how it is to be moving when your pregers and get motionsickness!!!
