Is it to early to try for anther baby

Hi i have a 4 year old and I had twins in March 2008 and my husband and myself are wanting to try again but relatives and friends have negative responses  saying its to early It takes me ages to fall pregnant due to PCOS so thats why we thought we'd try now as we dont want to go on any fertility medication. People make me feel guilty when all we want is a big family

Ultimately this is you and your husbands decision and nobody else's! I think if you are both ready to try then go for it - don't worry what anyone else says, you are the one carrying the babies and looking after them! I say go for it...my oldest was 8 months old when we started trying for number 2 - they are 17 1/2 months apart and I wouldn't have it any other way! Good luck!

I don't feel it is to early for you to try again I also have polycystic ovaries and unfortunately after years of trying I was diagnosed but it was to late for me to have another baby, don't let other people judge you it is your body your life and I say make the most of having kids while you can ultimately it is yours and your husbands choice no one elses.

Hi,

I think it's all up to you and ur husband, it's your decision, if u find your self ready for a new baby why not, and if your body is ready for another baby why not, if u can really cope with it why not .

Wish you the best darling ..

Re: Is it to early to try for anther baby

The way i see it is, it is your life.  You want a large family, then no one else has the right to make you feel guilty about your decisions.  I have 5 kids, the oldest being almost 6 and the youngest just over 4 months.  My family kept saying no more, and while the majority of ours weren't actually planned, I still went with what I wanted, not what they were telling me to do (but when did I ever listen to them? lol)

I say, if you are ready to start on the next addition/s to your family, then go for it!  do not let the opinions of others stop you from having what you want because you will be the one to miss out.  Basically, don't let others tell you how to live your life, it is yours after all.

As you have PCOS, it might take you a while to get pregnant again, so the sooner you start, the quicker your family will grow.

p.s having a large family is very tiring, but also very rewarding.  I can't imagine my life without my 5 girls.

Go for it, you and your husband are the ones responsible for your own family. No one else has to look after your children 24-7 and if more children is what you want and you think you can cope well that is all that matters.

This is your and your husbands descision to make and no one elses. Family members can think what they want but it is none of their business when you deciede to have more children. There is no right or wrong time to have children and if you have trouble falling and you want to start now that is entirely up to yourself and your husband. If you want to have a big family good on you both you no what you want so don't worry about what people have to say. You also do not have to explain your actions to anyone either it's your life not theirs. I'm sure they would take offense if someone was telling them when they should have children.

I think it is yours and your husbands choice no one elses. If you feel ready you should do it. See your doctor and he will tell you if your body is ready to handle it

Re: Is it to early to try for anther baby

For your own health, yes, it is too early.

There have been many studies done to show that it takes at least 2 years following a singleton birth, let alone twins, for a womans body to fully recover. It is much more important for the children you have to have a healthy fit and well mum.

I urge you to wait a little longer and allow your body time to heal. Time goes so quickly what is the rush?

Love and enjoy your beautiful babies and be thankful you are all healthy. So much can go wrong with pregnancy and birth and you need to be at your optimum,

Take care and best wishes, Miriam

Re: Is it to early to try for anther baby

Hi,

I'm a mum to 6 kids under the age of 12.. it led to the breakdown of my marriage because we didnt both want the same things and we let his family's opinion get in the way of caring about each other. I love having my 6 kids and recently got engaged to a wonderful guy with 3 kids of his own.. We have a huge family, and we love it..

The point here is it doesnt matter what the situation, if you love your kids and you have the support of a great partner who wants the same things as you do, do what you BOTH decide to do. You are ready for another when you feel ready and if you have done two at a time, well then you know what is in store for you already.

People dont really have the power to 'MAKE" you feel guilty, and they dont have the right to either! go forward with whatever you and your family feel is right for you.. if you have a family that loves and supports you, whether they agree or not shouldnt be an issue, or their business for that matter.. perhaps they just care, in a world where everything is soo expensive, dont worry i had my family on my back aswell mostly out of worry.

We dont have everything that money can buy, but we do have alot of love in our home, those are the things you need to consider.. Heres hoping that you have a wonderful xmas and that the new year brings a new addition to your growing family, good luck with it all xx cheers from Mel

I think after  you have dealt with twin newborns, having another baby in the house isnt going to be a shock to the system. It will be a lot of work, but if you and your husband are prepared for that then I say go for it and your family should respect and support your decision.

It's up to you and your hub, not your family members or friends.

in the end it is your and hubbys choice on how many kids and how far apart they are. dont listen to others unless it is in reguards to health.

I would start trying when ever it is you feel is the right time.

Don't let relatives & friends make you feel guilty in the least....this decision is entirely up to you and your husband. If you and your husband want more children, go for it.

I wish you both well.

Cheers Janice

Re: Is it to early to try for anther baby

STUFF THEM!! we have waited a long time to get preggers, and we are now 3 months along, we will not prevent anymore babies, even if it means we fall staright away. we dont care waht people think.. its YOUR life, YOUR body, i think the only thing that concerns me about having a baby quickly (if thats what happened) would be that we didnt spend enough time enjoying this baby. Not to early at all! GO FOR IT!
