Re: prgnant
Have you spoken to your doctor about it? they might be able to give you some anti nausea medication to help you to feel better.
With my first, I was terrible and in and out of hospital for the first 5 months. with my other 4, I was better able to manage. I ate ice, drank through a straw, ate plain salted chips and even went for only just ripe bananas. They all helped to some degree.
while food is important, it is your fluid levels that really need to be kept up with. If all you can manage to eat is just a few chips or a piece of toast, then that's ok. Your baby won't be suffering for it as they get their nutrients from you, however, once you are feeling better it is advisable that you start taking a good quality vitamin tablet to help replenish your own supplies.
Drink as much water, milk, juice, whatever as you can. Never leave your glass empty for long. Dehydration due to vomiting is very serious, and can lead to long term problems for you. You also run the risk of losing the baby if your hydration levels are too low.
To keep an eye on your hydration levels, you can pinch the skin on your upper arm. If it bounces back to original shape immediately, then you are not dehydrated. if it stays in the pinched position or takes a while to go back to normal, you are dehydrated. If this continues, you will require hospitalisation for a few days. they will put you on a drip to get you rehydrated.
Realsitically, you have to figure out by trial and error what is going to help you with your morning sicknes, so keep a diary of it all so that you know what does and what doesn't work.
