Merry Christmas and welcome to little elf. Let us know what happens.

Best of luck and a happy and safe delivery. Sometimes Santa gives you alittle present before that time.

Re: water breaking

hi,

I think you need to call your midwife of your Doctor and tell him what'sgoing on, + you need to use a pad so that u can watch your self if still leaking then i thin u really need to go to the hospital ... Take care honey and GOOD LUCK  ....

Put a pad on and see if you keep leaking. If you find that liquid is slowly leeking into your pad, then your water has broken. The liquid should be clear and not smelly.

With my first baby my water broke at 6.30am in the morning while I was in bed. It was a huge WOOSH! there was no mistakeing it.

Re: water breaking

Having had 5 babies now, I know that when I feel that pop, it is a sign that my waters have started to break.  I also know that for me, it is only a matter of minutes before there is a new arrival! lol.

The pop you felt can be one of 2 things.  It could be the membrane holding the waters snapping through the cervix and rupturing, or it could be the cervix snapping back when you are fully dilated.

If the fluid is clear, then that's fine.  If the fluid is green/black or red then you need to get to the hospital because there could be a problem.

Labour can take hours, days even, even if the waters have broken.  I hope all goes well for you, and maybe you are going to have a christmas baby.

Re: water breaking

Call your midwife or the hospital you are giving birth in. They should be able to advise you on what to do and may suggest coming in for a check-up just in case your waters really have broken and you're about to go into labour. My waters were also broken by the DR when I was in labour. But if I thought they had broken by themselves I would be going to the hospital straight away! Good luck!!!
