Re: really big poops
My son started doing the same thing around the same age. For his first few weeks of life, he would poo every day, up to 3-4 times a day. The poos at this stage were very thick and paste-like. By week 5-6, he was down to one poo a day, but they had become watery. Since 8 weeks, he has been pooing every 3-7 days, and they are HUGE, very watery, and go absolutely everywhere.
I use disposable nappies and do have the odd nappy explosion, which does result in having to give Bubs a bath. If you're using disposables, there's not really a lot that can be done. I think it also comes down to the brand as well, some brands can be better than others. I only use Huggies and have only had a couple of nappies leak, and it's usually up his back.
As long as your baby is 100% breastfed, anything he does is normal. I've been told some baby's can go up to 21 days between poos and I really couldn't imagine how 21 days worth of poo would look. That's a scary thought! If your son is 100% breastfed, one of the only real problems to look out for is poo going hard and looking like pellets, that's constipation but it very very very rarely happens to a baby who is only breastfed.
By 3 months, a baby's digestive system should be calming down and working itself out so your son may very well change his poo routine more than once.
