He will be okay, it will just come out naturally.  He might get the little runs as they have something in them which causes a laxative effect.

Hahaha sorry to laugh but my son did exactly the same thing not so long ago and I freaked out big time!!! First thing I did was jump straight onto Minti and then all these health sites lol!! The concensus was that he'll be fine it will just come out the other end. All those old wives tales are exactly that - just myths. I couldn't believe it either when he had slipped my chewies out of my purse and eaten the whole packet!! I felt so horrible I cried! But hey my son is still alive and kicking so no damage done. Although like Mystikal said if it was a large amount it may take a few days to pass. If you're really worried you can ring health direct on 1800 022 222. But I assure you if your son doesn't seem troubled at all and is eating and drinking normally then nothing to worry about! So long as he keeps having bowel movements I'd say you're in the clear. As for the gum I go without now :o( as Jesse just kept on finding it so I figured it would be safer to keep it out of the house until I could teach him not to swallow it lol!!

Don't worry he'll just poo it out. Large amounts can be dangerous to the digestive tract though so tell him to be careful.
