children and teens

what is going on with kids age 9  and up in the world and where are the parents.I am a mother and i have young children and a single parent.I teach my boys not to hurt others and they dont.Today we whent to the indoor pool and when we came outside all isaw and heard from teenages was swaring to another teenager and thretening physical violance and it scares me.I saw in the news there was a thirteen year old girl was with pear presher had to do unspiciple things to boys.If the parents  or perant?What can i say .

It seems to be the norm...teenagers swearing at each other and threatening behaviour. Luckily for me, my three eldest children didnt seem to swear in front of me. They were respectful to myself and other adults, and knew the boundaries. I'm not going to kid myself and say that they didn't swear, but at least they knew their limitations. I think a lot has to do with parenting these days, it seems to have gone by the wayside. Teach your children right from wrong, have open lines of communication with them, and you cant go too far wrong.
