Re: new bonus
Hi.
This is the summary from what I read from Sydney Morning Herald:
Families the package deal kings

February 4, 2009
FAMILIES could receive several thousand dollars in the Federal Government's latest economic stimulus package because they will be eligible for more than one of the five $950 payments.
Unlike the last package, singles and couples with no children will also receive up to $950 each, a sign the Government recognises they are more likely to prop up the economy by spending the extra money.
Anyone earning up to $80,000 will receive the maximum payment of $950.
Slightly smaller payments will be made to people earning between $80,000 and $90,000 - $650 - and between $90,000 and $100,000 - $300.
An additional $950 will be paid to single-income families where the main breadwinner earns up to $150,000.
Low- and middle-income families will also receive $950 for each child between the ages of 4 and 18 to help with education costs.
People do not have to apply for the payments. They will be paid automatically by the Australian Tax Office from March.
