i use babylove nappies what do you use

I buy babylove nappies(unisex) for my children. I used to buy them for my 10yrold and my 8 yr old children. Snugglers leave a rash on my two kids. Huggies are good but  are too expensive for i have to buy girl and boy nappies. Woolworths nappies i find my son poo's out the back of them. I thought this might help first time mums that dont know what nappies to buy, It would be interesting to see which nappies  other mums   like best.  I know huggies, babylove and snugglers have bonus sometimes if you collect bar codes u can win things. I got a wiggles plastic cubby house last year.

11AUD for 32 large nappies from my local chemist's brand. cheepest and do the job fine. so over buying and changing nappies on a 29month old girl... grrr thought they would be slightly uncomfortable cause they are cheep but noooo she doesn't mind them... LOL!

Re: i use babylove nappies what do you use

As I'm the Mum of five children (all boys), I've tried numerous nappies.  With all of them, I used to use towelling nappies, except for my third child as he had intestinal hurry, and no matter what nappy he used, the results were disastrous!!!

I did intend on using towelling nappies for my youngest, but when it got to the Winter of 2008, I just couldn't keep up with the washing.   I did start using Woolworths Select nappies but then they had Babylove nappies on sale quite frequently at Woolworths so I have continued to buy them and have managed to have plenty left so I've only had to buy them when there is a sale on.

I find that by a certain age, most nappies will leak occasionally, they just need to be changed more.  And for night time, the best thing to do is put a pair of towelling training pants or something similar over the nappy for extra absorbancy.  Either that, or change them once during the night, but this doesn't always work for everyone as there can be a problem getting your child back to sleep.

Tanya.

I use snugglers. My son is 5 1/2 months and has never had nappy rash or any leakage/accidents. We just get the next size up so he has some room.

We use huggies when we have spare money for the same reasons as above, plus they feel softer.

Re: i use babylove nappies what do you use

I used Huggies for my son for about 1 1/2 years as they were the best in my opinion!

That is until they changed the make of the nappy to include the "new wetness liner"................... I was soooo cranky as the absorbency level dropped dramatically! My son constantly leaked in the new ones, even when the nappy was hardly wet! You still cant beat Huggies for fit but i now use Mamia nappies from aldi (which i swore i would never do) but they are really absorbent! My son has never leaked in them!

I have tried every nappy since i stopped using huggies but i'm sticking to mamia now.

Re: i use babylove nappies what do you use

Iv tried them all,

Huggies nappies worked the best but where to expensive

Woolworths  Homebrand  kept ripping when ever my son stood up.

Babylove i found were to thin and wouldnt hold enough

Snugglers kept leaking

the ones i use the most and always recomend to new mothers is coles cheap brand unisex, they are bigger to hold that bit more.  plus the sizes go

Small- 6-9kg

large - 10 -15 kg

xlarge - 15 kg up

since iv been using these my son hasnt had a rash, leaky nappy or split nappy.  but then it all comes down to the parent

Re: i use babylove nappies what do you use

Ived tried every nappy with my son. He is now 7 months old and the only nappy ive NEVER had a problem with is the mamia ones from aldi. Baby love goes really crystally after just 1 pee. Coles, safeway and snugglers all give him a nasty rash. Huggies i find leak really easily but if i cant get to aldi i will use these because they dont give him a rash, i just have to change him during the night to avoid any leakage.

Nappies are different for every child though. I think its hard for boys cos there pee stays at the front where as with girls it distributes through tthe nappy pretty evenly, so the boys get full quicker.

I have a friend who uses ssnugglers and thats why i tried them, her daughter is fine with them where as ashton got the most blistere rash after the first couple of nappies. My cousin uses babylove and they work great and another cousin uses huggies and tehre good too, but they have girls.

Woolworth Homebrand here. I found they're better than Babylove, and as good as any other brand and a hell of a lot cheaper. I can't see the point in spending large amounts of money on something that is just going to get pooped and pee'd in and thrown in the bin when something cheaper does just as good a job.

I love huggies, but coles select are pretty good too. I don't like babylove nappies, they just don't fit my little one very well and I find them to be quite rough- not as soft. I think sometimes it depends on the baby and their body shape as to which ones you prefer.

Re: i use babylove nappies what do you use

I buy Babylove nappies.  I only buy them when they are on special. I have found them to be the best high quality nappy (cheaper than huggies).

I occasionally get snugglers - they have improved heaps. But I don't trust them overnight.

I have recently tried Sorbies (coles brand) they have day and night nappies in the same pack.  They were ok.

Whatever you buy, stock up when they are on sale.

Re: i use babylove nappies what do you use

We were using Huggie nappies then we decided to try babylove cause they are cheeper.  Baby love didn't work they leaked.   Some one suggested Aldi nappies and we think they are the best for value and have never leaked!

Re: i use babylove nappies what do you use

I live in a regional area so don't have much choice so I use Huggies as although they are more expensive Snugglers are hopeless!! My girl always leaks a night with them.  I've heard Aldi nappies are great though for anyone that can get them.

Re: i use babylove nappies what do you use

I use cloth nappies during the day and aldi nappies only at night.

also I only use whipes for poos, if Katelyn just does a wee I clean her with a face cloth I also use face cloths in her nappies instead of liners. BUT i do have different face cloths for her nappies and for using in the bath.

Re: i use babylove nappies what do you use
dear sandy41, my son is nearly 222months old and when he was little i tried every nappy under the son . i found that huggies nappies although they are expensive were good by i reckon far and above the huggies nappies are the aldi unisex nappies. which are not only great with absorbency but they are EXCELLENT value for money. i wouldn't recommend that you use snugglers babylove or the woolies or coles own brand nappies as i have found that with my son he kept having the same problems with them as you son had. hope that my little piece of experience has helped you just a little bit. cheers

Re: i use babylove nappies what do you use

I'm PMSL as I'm reading this. There seems to be a theme of typos with regards to kid's ages going on here. Firstly in the question she says she uses nappies for a 10 year old and an 8 year old, and now your son is in nappies at 222 months old! That would make him 18 years old! ROFLMFAO!

That is just too funny!

Damian is in either Snugglers or woolworths brand, with the babylove it didnt work too well with him.

Taylor I use babylove atm these work really well on him compared to Damian, and as we didn't buy them we didn't have much choice about having them.

Hi there.. did you know that homebrand bilo nappies are exactly the same as babylove!!! I actually worked this out once when i bought a packet of homebrand bi lo because there was no babylove there.. and they were exact, down to the pictures on the tabs... identical.. I dont have any in nappies anymore but its worth a look if you have a bi-lo anywhere near where you are Its amazing how many home brand ones actually get theirs from name brands .. and soo much cheaper xx

Re: i use babylove nappies what do you use

i use pea pods washable nappies or natures babycare biodegradable nappies

pea pods are about 20 bucks each but obviously you reuse them, they are a pocket nappy they dont leak they dont ruin the environment and they dont need soaking.

natures babycare are about 30 dollars a packet they dont have bleach or chlorine in them and they are made out of corn so they break down and they dont cause nappy rash, they look like a normal disposable nappy but they are a bit slimmer and they dont hang.
