How old are your kids? The teachers are sure earning their money tonight! I hope their husbands/wives know why they aren't home.

NBN should have broadcast that the kids and teachers are stuck at school, because 1,000 parents trying to get info from the school must be very difficult.

Try not to worry any more tonight - enjoy the quiet. Three kids - boy, do you need a break!

Hey grannyjack, this is griz, and it's actually my kids stuck at school! Hermy just posted on my blog.

Yeah I only found out after 5 pm. I was driving around looking wondering if they got off at another stop and I only found out when I went to get fuel cos I was almost out.

The lady at the servo told me the hwy was blocked at Urunga and the buses would get through soon, so I went bak to the busstop sat in my car and waited longer. Then finally drove to a parked bus and found out that my kids school was completley cut off and all students still at school.

So it would have been good to get some info through NBN, as the college phones were busy, didnt think to check the website till I finally got through t the school.

Anyway thanks for you good wishes. I have a 16, 14 and 9 year old there. So they should all be ok. I know they will be well taken care of.

The school seems to be manageing this thing so well. The web updates are ontime and excellent. Top marks to them

Hey Hermy, I am also PMSL. My 9 year old is sleeping with his class in his classroom with his teacher tonight. How funny is that. That poor bloody teacher!

Gawd 1200 kids stuck at school. All primary kids are being put to bed in their classrooms with their teacher in charge. Wonder how much sleep they will all get! LMAO

i have four children two older ones and my two babies and they will always be my babies, they are 3 and 2.....lol.....my older two are all grown up, visit my profile and you will see all their ages....

i hope you can relax, i do understand how you must be feeling.......just think of the fact of how exciting this must be for them, while you are at home worried sick about them......
