Re: Playdough.....

This makes about the same as two containers of Play-doh. The amounts are US measure, not sure where you are, sorry.

1 cup flour

2tsp cream of tartar

1tsp oil

1/4 cup salt

food coloring

Mix all, adding food coloring last.  Use a spatula and flip/stir over medium heat until mix becomes more rigid and color darkens slightly. Remove from heat and knead.

I keep mine in an old bread bag cut in half--twist the end of the bag and it stays soft for ages.

Re: Playdough.....

buy a can thing of cream of tarter. the recepy is on the back of that.

it is a cooked one and in a good airtight container it lasts forever. (a good few months) I made this with my kids and also at school when I was a EA.

This is the recipe I use, but be carefull with the amount of food colouring you put in, I put too much in last time and we ended up with green hands and a green tinged table!!

I have been told to use flour and water and some kind of food coloring....Just to give it some color.
