What are those bead things called that you iron?

Sorry, just not sure what they're called or where to buy them.  Miss 5 went to after school care on Friday as I had to organise something,  She made this thing usin little plasticy looking beads, she made a dog and the carer then ironed it and took it off the hard plastic thing she was putting the beads on and gave it to her to take home.  It's really cute, and she was doing that one activity from 3:15 (after she had afternoon tea) and I got back there just after 5pm and had to wait for her to finish it, so was there until almost 5:30.  On the way home she asked if I could buy her some to do at home.  She loves craft, but I've never seen these before.  There's a craft shop near us but they only really have shrink art, spin art and sand/glitter art.  I know it's not described really well, but I didn't see any box or anything and didn't think to ask them because she only asked me for it after we were heading home and she won't be going back to after school care again that I know of yet.

I am not sure where to get the ones that you iron, but there are others called BEADOS which you spray water onto. There are a range of kits starting, from memory, $6 - $7, going up to about $20 - $30. You can get them in most department stores and toy shops. If you want to check it out, the company that makes them is MOOSE, and they have a great website. Hope this helps

:)

My DDs both LOVE Hama Beads. DD1 (6) will spend an hour or more concentrating on them. DD2 (2) likes to pretend she's doing it too, so we indulge her, though I believe  you can buy larger (and smaller) ones - we use the midi-beads. I just bought some on ebay.co.uk. I think some people must buy big buckets and split them into 1000 packs. But if that is all you want, then it's worth considering.

i know what you mean but I cant remember what they are called but I have seen them in places like Big W and K-mart.

Are these the ones you mean?

If they are they are called Iron on beads. (thats what googles told me) I have seen these in a few craft stores in buckets of 1000+ you can buy them online as well.

yeah that looks like the ones, they are soft and squishy to touch.  I'll check out Big W next week when I'm over that way, or K Mart.  See if they are there.  Not that there's any rush, she isn't getting anything before her birthday lol and that's a little over 3 months away yet.  Just wanted to know what they were to check them out.
