Hi Smashie,

Like you we also live in a very cold climate (southern tablelands) our 7mth old also uncovers I have put a stop to this by putting her in a infant sleeping bag and tucking her in as normal...she uncovers herself no longer and i no longer worry about her freezing (it's just her hands that are cold in the morn as she has always hated them being covered or held in!  Sleeping bags are inexpencive and are also great for pram travel!

Hope this helps

Beth

WE used these.  They have different thickness for different temperatures and you can also alter their temp with the pjs they wear underneath.  I swear by them as both mine always kicked blankets off.  I bought mine on ebay second hand, but you need to look at the site to work out what thickness you want and what size.

You can also buy polar fleece sleepsuits and sleeping bags from most department stores and these are also great.

ive added a link to something i wrote when i first started off here! haha

we either use the sleeping bags or the really thick quilted sleepsuits for both my kids (17 months and 7 years) from snugtime like these.

we live in tasmania and it gets pretty cold here! these suits i find are a godsend!

I love those sleeping bags - I want one for myself.

I really like the way the kids learn to walk around in them by shoving their feet into the corners and waddling around.   Makes me giggle every time.

My daughter always managed to get her foot through each seat belt hole (my favourite one had holes for the seat belt to go through), so her legs still got a bit chilly.

well what i did with my daughter is i put her in her own little sleeping bag because she kept kicking the blankets and i was worried that she would get cold ,wit the sleeping blanket it keeps her warm even if shes kicked her other blanket off
