Hello there everyone

Yes I thought it was about time to return to Minti and update you all on whats been happening the last 6mths of my life.....LOL.

As some of you may know, my eldest Joshua was heading to Japan with his school, this Sept just gone.  Leaving me bawling at the airport, he headed off for 10 days! This included 2 homestay nights, with a student from their sister school over there, also sightseeing which included a sumo tornament, visit to the Golden Pavillion and a day fun filled at Disneyland! He had the most awesome time, and took some wonderful photos. He wishes to return there sometime in the near future.

As for Lachlan,  well this year my little by has matured heaps. He has come leaps and bounds in his reading and his handwriting is just beautiful. Behaviour has improved immensly, and has made more friends this year. So very proud of him.

Dylan has just accomplished his 1st year at Prep. Boy did he have some fun! He so enjoyed school, getting up to get dressed with his brothers and walking in with the boys himself. Oh boy where does the time go.

Shanae has just turned 3 and attends daycare 1 day a week. She is quite the little Miss and has a foul temper is you dare annoy her. She has been headbutting in temper for about  the last 12 mths, anything from tiles to windows etc etc. We did take her to a specialist, to only be told it's negative behaviour, so we try to ignore it as much as we can.

And as for me, I am 6 wks pregnant! Expecting baby number 5 somewhere around the 8th of August, 2009. Feeling very tired and a little nausous but over all feeling reasonably good.

It's been so long and may as well update all on whats been happening in my neck of the woods.

This year has had it's high's and lows.

Dylan started Prep this year and is really loving it. The first day of school, he wanted to go as soon as he got up which was like 7am!!! 5 stars for being so eager though. He really enjoys going and is so proud when he brings his artwork home. How they change when they start school.

Lachi is coming along with flying colours. Year 3 and he is really doing well. Reading and Maths needs to be worked on, but he tries his hardest and I am so proud of his efforts. He has more friends this year and seems to be doing really well. He will be 9 next week, how time flies.

Josh is in Year 6 and doing well. Only 67 days till he leaves for Japan. So very exciting!!! He is the only one in our family that has a passport...he he he. He got information about his homestay person the other day and look of interest and excitement on his face was amazing. He is so looking forward to it.

Shanae is fan-fairy tastic! Yeah... my baby girl loves 7's tv show "The Fairies". We have 3 dvd's that are played non stop during the day and night. I took her last wednesday to see The Fairies show. The look on her face.....PRICELESS. She was so excited to see them in real life and was having a little boogie as they sung their songs. She is talking heaps and you can nearly have a full on conversation with her. She makes me laugh.

My low this year..... I lost my Nana in May. She was suffering from Diabetes. The great thing though is, I had the chance to spend some time with her and say my goodbye before she left. She was so loving, thoughtful and funny. She really will be missed, but I know she is now at rest and in no more pain.

Another high this year, is hubby and I have decided to have another baby. Not sure if we are crazy or not, but if you can't beat em join em they say! I will keep you all informed to what happens ???

Hey, how are you all?

Well yesterday, Dylan and myself went to The Ekka, the Brisbane show. We had such a great day, just us 2 together. We went to purchase our showbags first, and then proceeded to conquer the rest of the show.

We went and looked at the Police pavilion, which he got to sit on a police bike and I took a photo. Very exciting for him. Then we went to look at the chooks,birds and animals. There was some real BIG roosters, and we passed this HUGE turkey which let out a real loud "Gobble Gobble", and Dylan nearly jumped out of his skin. Shouldn't laugh, but it was quite funny to see.

About 6pm, we went into the main arena to watch the rodeo, motorcross and fireworks. Dylan loved watching the motorcross, it kept him quite for about 15 mins. I think they were pretty awesome too. The fireworks display was awesome, and Dylan sat there amazed by all the colours.

We got home about 10pm, feet sore and really tired BUT.... them main thing is we had the day together and we throughly enjoyed it.

My Big 10 yr old!!! Tonight we celebrated Josh's 10th birthday by having his favourite meal burrito's, followed by a yummy birthday cake. Grandad joined us and everyone had fun. He received all & Harry Potter books, which he started the 1st one tonight!

Yes, I have been a Minti snob lately.......naughty me! Have been busy doing family stuff and haven't really found the time to jump on my computer and d the things I usually do like chat and go over Minti. SORRY

Tomorrow is 1st born son, Joshua's 10th Birthday. I can't believe how much time flies. I can still remember having him and thinking Oh My God, my life is about to change! Watching him grow up, his 1st day of school, the happiness he has brought to my life and how I am so proud of who he has become.

Just wanted to say hello to all Minti's.

Sorry I haven't been online much lately. Have been trying to spend more time with hubby and family.

My sister and I are finally get our relationship back on track, by spending more time together. Last saturday we went shopping together with Shanae as well and had a real good time together. We also went to a Scrapbooking Event in the afternoon, which was great as we picked up a few new and good bargains!

Also a few Minti's know I'm going through a bit of stress medically wise, but I'm sure it will work itself out.

Also today, a net friend of mine came online. We haven't talked for about a year. She was pregnant with her 3rd when I was pregnant with Shanae. I was so happy to finally talk to her again and see pics of her little boy.

Lachi had a great birthday, as his aunt and grandad came over to share pizza and cake with him. We all sat down and hogged away, the night ending with a special birthday cake daddy had baked himself and mummy had decorated.

Was lovely to see the excitement on his face, as he was centre of attention all night. The smile from ear to ear, with everyone singing just for him.

Wouldn't it be great to be a kid again????

Hello all Minties

Yes, school holidays are over and it's back to school for 2 of my kiddies tomorrow.

It has been a quiet 2 weeks, as we did not really have the money to do much. The 1st week, my mum took the 3 boys to the local shopping centre to make candles. It was awesome and all the boys really enjoyed it. It was amazing to sit and watch the boys making them, and the achievement on the face when they had finished them! I will have to put some pics up soon.

The 2nd week, my hub had a wk's holiday off work. Which made it alot easier on me at home. He took Josh fishing a few times, Lachi doesn't like the boat too much, gets scared! They pretty much watched dvd's at home and we visited nanny quite a number of times through the week.

Tomorrow also is Lachi's 8th birthday. We will have a quite night at home having pizza and cake. Grandad and Aunty will be visiting also, and then on Saturday he will be having a combined birthday party with one of his close friends from school at Macca's. How exciting, he can't wait.

Hi all Minti's

Yes tonight, I had the pleasure of meeting a minti friend of mine, Georgie.

After a few text messages, we decided that I would meet up with her at the motel where she is staying at the moment.

I felt so nervous, going to meet someone I have only met and chatted to online but....when I got there, we got on like 2 peas in a pod and I automatically felt right at home with her. We talked about anything and everything.

I met her 4 adorable girls, and also found out that her daughter Talea is born the same day, same year as my little Shanae, small world huh.

Pity the visit wasn't longer but maybe next time!

So to you Georgie when you read this, thanks! I enjoyed your company very much and hope we will catch up again soon my good friend!

Today Lachlan got a achievement award from school, for choices he can make with his behaviour and working on positive skills!  Yay for my boy! He made his mummy VERY PROUD!

It's one of those weeks this week, where everything is happening and you don't have time to scratch yourself!

Like for instance,

Monday: Kept the kids home as they were not feeling too well, coughing and carrying on all day.

Tuesday: Today I stayed home to entertain my best friend and sister-in-law. We chatted all day about everything from my niece starting to collect Beanie Bears to how change food in your diet and how it can affect our kids??? It was a good day, I enjoyed just chatting and relaxing around people that love me for ME!

Wednesday: Tomorrow I have to take Lachlan to Qld Health for a check-up. I think it's like a follow up to see how he's doing at school with the extra help since he has been diagnosed. My mum should be looking after Dylan and Shanae, as it's real important to listen to everything thats being said and when you have 2 kids there, who can get bored it don't help. Also I thought I will take Lachlan back to see his teachers from the S.E.D.U. They were real fantastic and I know it will be great for both Lachlan and the teachers to see each other.

Thursday: Report Card Day....... yes it's that time of year, for most parents where you get your child's report card sent home. I'm kind of looking forward to seeing how well the boys have done so far this year.

Friday: 9.30 Dentist app for Dylan, to have 2 fillings done on his top jaw and also.......................... LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!

2 weeks of not getting up early and rushing around mad. Not sure what I'll do with the kids on the holidays, but hub has the 2nd week of their holidays off so maybe they might go fishing.

Anyway I better go, it's 12.12am and I need get dome beauty sleep. Have a good week!

Today Shanae had her 18mth Chickenpox needle.

She had them just after her 1st birthday, but because she was so young the doc and I decided it would not hurt to have the shot anyway.

She went well, and only cried a little as it went in. The nurse told me just to watch her, as she can get a rash kinda measles like looking and also the usual temps and so on.

She is so grumpy at the moment, I'm pretty sure she is teething again....Oh what fun for me.

I had a Prep information morning at the school, from 9-11. This included putting Dylan's enrolment form in, them sighting his birth certificate and a general talk about children starting Prep in 2008.

We were spoken to by a Prep teacher and informed of what they do through their day. It sounds very exciting for a child. We were also escorted through the school and Prep rooms, to show us where the kids would be and so on. It ended with a lovely cuppa, sandwiches and cake. YUMMO

I have 2 at school now,Yr 2 and Yr 5,  but I'm still a little sad as Dylan will only be home for another 6 mths and then he's a big school boy too.

Today made it more real, that he's growing up and making one of those big steps by starting school next year.

He is so eager to go! I was telling him the other day, that he would not be going to kindy/daycare anymore as Mummy could not afford it! So he answers with..."Am i going to school now with the boys"?? SO ADORABLE!!, so I hope the transition into school will be okay for him.

This morning I woke up in such pain. I had slept the wrong way, and put my neck out. It's so sore..... I have had the wheat heat pack on a few times today, which has helped!

I haven't done much all day, but sit on my computer. The kids have been driving me nuts, fighting and carrying on, but whats new???

Vinnie has gone fishing yet again today! So easy for him to just ping off for the day and leave me  here to handle things all the time! Sorry for whinging, just really gets my blood boiling. When do I get a break? When's it my turn, to have a little freedom and he be the one to stay home????

Oh well, it 's gotta get better right???

Yep, hooray it's the weekend thank god! I have been waiting for it all week.

Last night, my sister came over and we scrapbooked till 2.30 this morning, man am i tired today. I managed to get 1 page done. It looked pretty good i think, it took me ages to do.... like 3 hrs.

Today it is so cold here! I have my winter woolies on, even my ugh boots on to keep my tooties warm. Winter has finally arrived and i loathe it!

My mum picked up a good bargain for Shanae at a garage sale today, a brand new Cabbage Patch doll, not in box but birth certificate and accessories were with it for $20, what a bargain.

The lady she bought it off has 2, she was selling the other on ebay. She started the bid at $30, and it was already up to $80 when she was speaking to mum. So I'm so happy, we got a really brilliant bargain, for a superb price!!

It's the long weekend here, so I'm not too sure what else I'm going to do for the next 2 days, probably spend most of my time sitting on the computer so my bum can get bigger.... he he he  chatting to everyone.

I haven't written for a few days, haven't had the time to devote to my blog... naughty me!

Today Dylan had his last day of Kindy/Daycare for the year. The fees have gone up yet again, and I just can't afford it anymore. I felt so bad collecting him this afternoon. He was saying goodbye to all his teachers, and they were wishing him well and that. I could have almost cried!  But... it will only be another 6 or so months and he will be starting Prep. A whole new ball game then.

Also took Shanae to the doctor today, had to see about her chickenpox needle since she will be 18mths on Sat. She had chicken pox, about a week after her 1st birthday. I was not to sure whether she would be able to have the needle or not. The doctor and me and decided, that she was very young when she had them and it would not hurt to have the needle. So I was going to get it done then and there, but doc checked her, she was running a temp and has a red throat, so until next week now!

Tomorrow, I might hopefully do some scrapbooking.... ( IF I GET TIME )! It's a long weekend here in Qld, so if I don't get any done tomorrow, there's always hope for the next couple of days.

This evening I saw the sweetest thing!

Shanae was playing quietly in her own room. I snuck up to the door, and decided to just watch her for a while.

There she was, sitting on her Care Bear lounge with her dolly. She was holding the doll in her arms, stroking her face and patting her bum. Then she placed her down beside her, and put a blanket over her.

She was so gentle to her dolly! I couldn't dare make a sound, to let her know I was watching.

Just to watch her there, being oh so careful with her dolly, as not to hurt her. 

Another precious moment, I have witnessed being her mum!

It's times like these you treasure, and hold in your heart forever.
