In my suburb there is this fantastic little child care centre and I thought I would give it a bit of a blog especially for the central coast Mum's who May not know of this great little centre.

It is needing more enrollments as all the little darlings have grown up and went off to big school, funny kids have a knack of growing up so quickly.

I really hope there is a centre like this near you, its so handy, not to mention if you want to go and socialise your child you can go there for free!!! as long as you are there with your child supervising.

Hi,

I am so excited Ebony started Tae Kown Do today.

God love her she has been asking to go to Tae Kwon Do ever since she saw my trophy that i got when I trained, and thats since she was 3.

She nagged me last year to join her up, but at the tender age of 5 I thought it would be best if I waited till she was that just a little bit older.

We today was the day, her first lesson, by a instructor that I trained with when I was younger, it made me laugh, as the the last time I saw him he was a knee high to a grass hopper, tender age of 9. Now he is a grown man, in a way it made me feel old lol.

The sweetest part is that he still remembered me!!! Not to mention when I got a phone call from my master in regards to Ebony Joining up, he didnt recognise my name until I told him my maiden name. Then he remembered straight away.

Apart from how are you, I got so when are you comming back to training? then he realed off where training was held at and what time etc etc.

I laughed and said I want to get Ebony in first and see how she goes, as always children come first.

I would love to get back into it, its a matter of finding time, ahhh life was a bit easier when you are a teenager, there seemed to be more time back then , then there is now???

Now its all rush rush do this do that get this done get that organised etc etc.

I feel I dont have enough time as it is?? between work, running a house, organising my daughter aughh I feel like I am stealing time just to get onto my pc to check emails and relax on minti.

Look at the time already its 11.53pm, ha so much for the idea of going to bed at a reasonable hour tonight, I have work early in the morning, I wake up every morning thinking oh why do I do this to myself?

But as per usual time is a theif and it slips away from you, before you know it bam there goes that hour.

ok now getting back to what I was talking about, sorry about that I got a bit carried away there, so, Ebony had her first lesson today, she went really well. They went over time today so I got to see her in action for 15 mins before it ended.

She was so excited, she came home and we practiced the new moves that she had learn't. I have my kick bag still from all those years ago, I just couldnt part with it, tae kwon do what such a huge part of my life and it was the best thing that I ever did. Even though it was the most stressing and distressing part of my life, Tae Kwon Do was my outlet it was my escape. It was a place where I could be me. I bet you are thinking so when are you going to go back Jennifer?? I will go back, I just don't know when.

Anyway tomorrow I can't wait till Ebony gets home I am going to get the bag out and practice with her, its going to be so much fun.

Getting back to my day, Not only did this day get off to a late start, late waking up, late getting to school, Ebony also had swimming lessons to do today.

So after school there was a mad dash for the shops for a few things then a mad dash to swimming lessons thankfully we werent late for them, i spose that was one thing we were actually early for lol, then come home cook dinner. Just as I finished my dinner my next appointment arrived.

See my life never stops. Lol I feel I hit the ground running everyday.

Tomorrow is going to be just as hectic we are down to one car at the moment, So Mark is going to take me to and from work, just in case in the meantime he needs the car for a call out to fix someones computer. I get back enough time to set up for my next massage and wait till Ebony gets off the bus. Do a Massage then I will have spare time to hold the kick bag for Ebony. Get dinner ready and do the cycle all over again.

yay the joys of life, My mother warned me that my life will never be the same after having children, and she is so incredibly right, she forgot to mention to me that time goes that extra fast.

Anyway I have to head off now,

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful night

Hi, I have been tagged by Simplyme01ca,
The idea is that I had to get a photo from my computer and talk about it.
Here is a photo (I hope it works) of one of the lorrikeets that come to visit on our back patio.

The way our back veranda and patio are situated its less than a meter from each other hense that is why the photo is so close up.

We feed them occasionally with wild bird seed. I have spoilt them once or twice with a seed stick for wild birds, that was gone within hours of putting it up for them.

At one stage this little fella bought his whole family to visit and we had 15 of them on the roof. Must admit it was very noisy, but it was a awesome sight to see. The funniest thing is when you see them hop, they don't walk they jump and hop.

I swear when you talk to them they look at you as if they understand what you are saying.

Thank you for reading

Every so often you get an email that is worth sharing, I thought I would share it with all my minti friends. Please feel free to copy this email onto all your friends its ever so true. Kind regards Jennifer

PASTOR WITH GUTS!

It seems prayer still upsets some people. Please read.... When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

  'Heavenly Father',

We come before you today

To ask your forgiveness and To seek your direction and guidance.

We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good'

But that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium

And reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor

And called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness

  And called it welfare.

  We have killed our unborn

  And called it choice.

We have shot abortionists

And called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children

And called it building self esteem.

  We have abused power

  And called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions

And called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography

And called it freedom of speech and expression.

We have ridiculed the time honored values of our forefathers

And called it enlightenment.

  Search us, Oh, God,

And know our hearts today;

Cleanse us from every sin

  And set us free.

   'Amen!'

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest. In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively.

The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India , Africa and Korea . Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio Program, 'The Rest of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our Nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'one nation under God.'

If possible, please pass this prayer on to your friends 'If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.' Think about this: If you forward this prayer to everyone on your email list, in less than 30 days it would be heard by the world. How many people in your address book will not receive this prayer...? Do you have the guts to pass it on? I just did! May God bless you today!

Hi I thought I would put this up on my blog as it is getting close to christmas. Just to make us stop and think of what is really important at this time of year.

I was emailed this story but they have it on a website here is the link http://pws.gamewood.net/~byoung/holidays/christmas/doll.htm

Get the tissues out Merry Christmas everyone from my family to yours we wish you a very Merry christmas and a safe and prosperous 2009

I hurried into the local department store to grab some last
minute Christmas gifts. I looked at all the people and grumbled
to myself. I would be in here forever and I just had so much to do.
Christmas was beginning to become such a drag. I kinda' wished
that I could just sleep through Christmas. But I hurried the best
I could through all the people to the toy department.

Once again I kind of mumbled to myself at the prices of all these
toys. And wondered if the grandkids would even play with them.
I found myself in the doll aisle. Out of the corner of my eye I saw
a little boy about 5 holding a lovely doll. He kept touching her hair
and he held her so gently. I could not seem to help myself. I just
kept looking over at the little boy and wondered who the doll was for.
I watched him turn to a woman and he called his aunt by name and
said, "Are you sure I don't have enough money?" She replied a
bit impatiently, "You know that you don't have enough money for it."
The aunt told the little boy not to go anywhere that she had to go
get some other things and would be back in a few minutes. And
then she left the aisle.

The boy continued to hold the doll. After a bit I asked the boy
who the doll was for. He said, "It is the doll my sister wanted
so badly for Christmas. She just knew that Santa would bring it."
I told him that maybe Santa was going to bring it. He said "No,
Santa can't go where my sister is...I have to give the doll to my
Mamma to take to her". I asked him where his sister was. He
looked at me with the saddest eyes and said "She has gone to be
with Jesus. My Daddy says that Mama is going to have to go be
with her." My heart nearly stopped beating. Then the boy looked
at me again and said, "I told my Daddy to tell Mama not to go yet.
I told him to tell her to wait till I got back from the store." Then he
asked me if I wanted to see his picture. I told him I would love to.
He pulled out some pictures he'd had taken at the front of the store.
He said "I want my Mamma to take this with her so she don't ever
forget me.

I love my Mama so very much and I wish she did not have to leave me.
But Daddy says she will need to be with my sister." I saw that the
little boy had lowered his head and had grown so very quiet. While
he was not looking I reached into my purse and pulled out a handful
of bills. I asked the little boy, "Shall we count that money one more
time?" He grew excited and said "Yes, I just know it has to be enough."
So I slipped my money in with his and we began to count it. Of course
it was plenty for the doll. He softly said, "Thank you Jesus for giving
me enough money." Then the boy said "I just asked Jesus to give me
enough money to buy this doll so Mama can take it with her to give
to my sister. And he heard my prayer. I wanted to ask him for enough
to buy my Mama a white rose, but I didn't ask him, but he gave me
enough to buy the doll and a rose for my Mama. She loves white roses
so very, very much."

In a few minutes the aunt came back and I wheeled my cart away. I
could not keep from thinking about the little boy as I finished my
shopping in a totally different spirit than when I had started. And I
kept remembering a story I had seen in the newspaper several days
earlier about a drunk driver hitting a car and killing a little girl and
the Mother was in serious condition. The family was deciding on
whether to remove the life support. Now surely this little boy did
not belong with that story.

Two days later I read in the paper where the family had disconnected
the life support and the young woman had died. I could not forget
the little boy and just kept wondering if the two were somehow
connected. Later that day, I could not help myself and I went out
and bought some white roses and took them to the funeral home
where the young woman was. And there she was holding a lovely
white rose, the beautiful doll, and the picture of the little boy in the
store. I left there in tears, my life changed forever. The love that little
boy had for his little sister and his mother was overwhelming. And
in a split second a drunk driver had ripped the life of that little boy
to pieces.

Hello,

its been a while since i have blogged, just been so busy lately.

Just like everyone else

Work is going really well I love being casual, my old boss is so accomodating I love it and so does she. Nothing like being in the right place at the right time, I will be working then all of a sudden there will be a shift available and I get first offers for it. Its awesome, as everyone knows every little bit helps.

Anyway there was another reason why I am blogging today I was just sent this awesome email and I thought I would share with every one else, as I thought it was quite funny. Not to mention all of us here are pretty much computer savy anyway.

I hope you enjoy

INSTALLING A HUSBAND
Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as
Romance 9.5 and
Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as

NHL 5.0,
CFL 3.0 and
Golf Clubs 4.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.

Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,

Desperate.

DEAR DESPERATE,

First, keep in mind,
Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while
Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0update.
If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1.
Please note that Beer 6. 1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0-program .These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend
Cooking 3.0 and
Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Good Luck Babe!

Hi all,

I hope you are all doing fine.

Its been a while since I last blogged so I thought I might take the chance to do another.

I have finally bitten the bullet and decided to go back to Target, my old stomping ground I was there for 9 years and had a break when I had Ebony.

I was called in for the interview and I noticed on my application "Yes" my HR Manager said Hi Jen you already know that you have the job don't you so how have you been?

I thought wow thats awesome, I just wanted 2 or 3 days back there and I still can work Massages around it. I dont mean to sound greedy but those were the days when I had a bit more money when I was doing both.

You see my partner and I have big plans for the near future such as pay off bills etc etc and get some money saved, as we wish to give Ebony a baby Brother (preferably) but we will be happy with what ever we get. Mind you Ebony has informed me that we need to keep trying till we give her a brother.

This wont be happening for at least a year we think, it really depends on how we go at saving i guess. I know in theroy we never can really afford a baby we just have to bite the bullet and and manage. The same as everyone does.

But I have to admit though I have been feeling clucky a fair bit lately, it doesnt help that I have been working on pregnant mum's for the past 5 months. My partner said to me today Oh another pregnancy massage that means more talk about babies yippee. He is very excited about having a baby, he would be happy for us to start trying now. But as I said I want to get more organised first.

That is another reason why I wanted to go back to target, at least I can work right through my pregnancy back when I was pregnant with Ebony the work load was too huge and it wasnt pleasant what so ever till I gave up Massage for a while.

Everyone says to me it could be different since I can manage my own work load and ensure that I have adiquate breaks and all. But I want to be as prepared as I can be with this one.

see here i go again talking about this subject as if it is happening, it makes my partner laugh.

Not to mention the other night after I tucked Ebony into bed she asked me as I was walking out the door "when is my baby brother comming" I told her not for a while yet but as soon as we know that he is on his way I will tell her.

I can see it happening now I am going to have a real little mum on my hands with her, she is a fuss pot now over her 8 month old cousin she wants to put his dummy in his mouth and hold his bottle etc etc. I know I will have to take her to the ultra sounds so she can see.

I get so excited talking about this, cos it seems little by little the plan is falling into place and it will all happen for us.

I better stop talking about it now as I dont want to jinx us, or happen too soon lol.

Anyway take care and I will catch up with you soon

I am apart of simple savings online emailing list and I have been for ages awesome tips on there anyway I just recieved this little simple saving tip. In regards to food allergies I thought minti members would benefit.

I will cut and paste the email so you get the jist.

EAT SAFE AND SAVE

A new website called EatingSafe can save stress, time and money. My
daughter is allergic to egg, milk and peanuts and I seem to spend a lot of
time looking at the back of products for their ingredients lists, which means
I spend more time in the shops and that's dangerous for my sanity and wallet!

EatingSafe (www.eatingsafe.com.au) allows you to search their website by
Allergen and food type - and you can specify this down to quite a detailed
level. It gives you a summary of products available, the pack size, and
whether they are green (presence is not indicated), amber (presence is
possible) or red (presence is indicated) for the allergen(s). You can then
look at individual labels and if necessary ask for clarification through a
forum. The site staff then contact the manufacturers for their comment and
post it as well. It's not only useful for allergies, but also for additives
and nutrients. You can search up to four allergens/additives/nutrients at
once and choose which products are best, then add them to a shopping
list (once you are a member).

When you join for free as a member you
can also be notified of any product updates that are relevant to your
health issue. The database has nearly 14,000 labels listed and is growing
all the time. I even used it at a recent party when my daughter was given a
lolly that we all thought was ok, but the packaging had been thrown out.
I was able to check the database and make her a very happy muncher!

http://www.eatingsafe.com.au

That was the email that was sent to me. I thought other minti mums would benefit.

Have a wonderful day

I love this poem, I have a copy of this sitting on my desk infront of me at my computer. It is titled Don't Quit. Courtesy of pocket inspirations

Don't Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

when the road that your trudging seems all up hill,

when the funds are low and the debts are high and you want to smile, but you have to sigh, when care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must but do not quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As everyone of us sometimes learns, and many a failure turns about when he might have won had he stuck it out;

Don't give up though the pace seems slow - You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out - the silver tint of the clouds of doubt, you never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems so far;

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit- It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

I hope you enjoyed

On 19 and 20 April the Australia 2020 summit will be held
to help shape a long term strategy for the nation’s future.

One of the 10 areas covered is "A long-term national health strategy ..."
chaired by Nicola Roxon and professor Michael Good.

Anyone not attending in person can make submissions by 9 April.

What are your suggestions for the future of healthcare ?

               www.australia2020.gov.au/submissions

In addition to the summit, the National Health and Hospitals Reform Commission
has been appointed
"to develop a long-term health reform plan for a modern Australia".

The Commission has been tasked by Cabinet to provide an interim report on a long-term health reform plan to the Commonwealth Government by the end of 2008, and a final plan in mid 2009.

Its work will be divided into analysing systemic problems while considering emerging challenges such as the cost of chronic disease, the ageing population and ways to give greater weight to preventative health programs.

Mr Rudd said he wanted his new National Health and Hospitals Reform Commission to provide a detailed blueprint of the way forward for health.
"There's no point just tinkering at the edges. We've actually got to look at this root and branch and do it thoroughly."

What the effects of massage and what can massage do for you??

The skin is our largest sensory organ; covering the entire surface of the body.

A baby recieves important information about his environment as a result touching and being touched long before it can hear and see. Deny him or her the touch and he or she loses the will to live.

Adults too need touching. Insufficient touch and you may become tense, feel your muscles tighten. This tension, when the nerve signals become stronger, it is percieved as pain.

The Effects of Massage

Areas around pain sites contain reflexes, which, when stimulated can reduve pain with out working directly on the pain site.
Improves circulation, a stimulating massage increases blodd flow in the the area causing a complete filling and emptying of blood vessels, thus allowing a greater amount of blood to be brought the the area.

A deep massage effectively increases oxygenation or tissues and removal of waste products.

Improves skin by stimulating nerves and capillaries, loosens tissues and reduces scarring.

Increas the rate of metanolism and stimulates increased output of urine and excretion of nitrogen as well as hastening the emptying of the contents of the intestine.

An increase in blood flow due to a massage can produce a temporary decrease in blood pressure. The slowing of the pulse rate promotes relaxed breathing. These are two indicators of reduced stress.

Massage, apart from ridding the body of lactic acid, also affects the skeletal system by massaging around the area of retention of nitrogen, sulphhur and phsphorus necessary for the repair of injured tissue.

Massage can help back and muscoskeletal pain by breaking the pain cycle - a Mechanism where by the intial cause of pain triggers muscle spasm that impairs circulation and in turn produces more pain.

Massage helps to break the cycle and thus relieves the pain.

For athletes, in conjunction with warm up techniques, it is an effective physiological and psycological preparation to sports activities.

Sports Massage is valuable in assisting athletes to recover from injury or the effects of vigorous training.

Some doctors prescribe back and chest massage to patients with chronic bronchitis and asthma.

IF YOU HAVE A CHRONIC ILLNESS, IT IS BEST TO CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE GETTING A MASSAGE.

In the last blog I told you about how I started a new job as a Physiotherapy aid, Well I started that In July 2007. Unfortunatly I no longer have that job They wanted someone full time and I could only offer 2 days a week.

To be honest with you I am glad that I no longer work there, It wasnt the people or the staff or anything it was one of those things that I had to try but unfortunatly wasnt for me. I feel that there is no love lost, there was no ill feelings.

So I would like to take this opportunity to wish the staff and patients a successful, prosperous, healthy and safe future.

It was an honour and a pleasure to work with all of you, staff and patients.

I will miss the patients the most, always know that I will be thinking of you and wishing you well.

I posted another Blog on Blogspot, http://jenniferisnotworkingatlakesphysio.blogspot.com/

I just want the patients to know that they are in good hands with Leanne (the therapist that has been placed on fulltime) and that I still care and wish them the very best.

Working with people in general is a challenging yet rewarding experience, but with the clients that I saw at the physio and with my current clients, I have laughed, cried felt their anger, fustration and pain. My feelow collegues say to me that its too much wear and tear on me, I dont agree. I beleive if you cant feel empathy for your clients or anyone that is close to you, how can you really expect them to trust and understand you when they feel that you dont or cant understand them.

Its amazing how far a little compassion and empathy actually goes with a persons healing process. The speed of recovery is faster. Thats the point of helping someone is to help them help themselves, with them knowing that they are not alone.

The expression of " Healing Hands" really cant be taken loosely. There is so much more to massaging than rubbing the sore spots out. The power of touch is emense, as we know as mothers a child especially a new born has to be touched and caressed for him or her to grow. I remember learning about the power of touch in my remedial Massage class, they did a study in the time during WW1. There were so many orphaned children so they decided to do an experiement. They had one group that was only handled when needed to be changed. They were fed with a bottle while laying in their cot. There was hardly any interaction with this group and definatly no touching what so ever.

Then there was another group of babies where the nurses intereacted with them and handled them while they were fed. This group was gently touched and was interacted with.

The sad part about this story is the first group deteriorated even though they were fed and nourished passed away not long after this study occured.

The second group thrived, growing into healthy toddlers then into healthy children.

So it doesnt matter if you are a new born or are on in your later years, the power of touch is a basic human requirement. For all of us to grow healthy and happy we cant beat the power of touch.

Till Next time take care

Jennifer

I know its been a while since i have visited or even blogged on here. I am sorry for that.

A lot has been happening in the past 6 months.

I have moved house gained another job and now being 2008 I am preparing for Ebony to go to "big school".

Oh yes Ebony is more than prepared its me I am worrying about. Yes yes I know we all go through it and I have been told I wont know what to do with myself. But that doesnt mean I am going to miss her all the same. Its funny friends and family said to me "oh you wont know what to do with yourself when Ebony goes to preschool all that spare time on your hands"..... Um excuse me?? spare time?? are you kidding me I felt I was more busy than ever I am still yet to find spare time. I am writing this just before my client is due to arrive for a massage. How I found lthis moment I am yet to find out but moving right along.

Yes spare time well I was supposed to have more spare time during those 3 days a week while Ebony was at preschool. I did'nt. Now there is talk of spare time when she goes to kindergarden. You have to be kidding me? I know its all about time management and being organised I guess I am still learning about that one. I'm sorry but organised isnt my middle name. When I was being created they must have decided that i wouldnt need as much organisation skills as everyone else. ho hum

Well As I have said before I have moved yippee its a good spot less than 5 mins from the beach. I have been here for 5 months and only have been to the beach about 4 times in that time. I know Its slack but as I said its that little thing called time. It has a sunroom from where I work from which is awesome. I dont know if I told you but in my other home I worked from my garage yes garage but it was done up real nice with carpet and all. Hey everyone has to start from somewhere. Anyway I feel as though I have upgraded and I feel like i am on holiday well sort of. For the longest time my brain kept saying ok so when do we have to go home now? it was a strange feeling which is slowly leaving me.

Now about the new job I also work as a massage therapist in a physio. Oh boy what a job nothing like hitting the ground running. Not only do i massage I am a physiotherapy aid as well. By friday night I am wiped out ( yes yes i know you hear me). I only do 2 days there but I am telling you that is well and truely enough. Its good to see how the other half live so to speak. Its lots of fun the clients are beautiful I love everyone of them. They are elderly, so I feel like i have been adopted by them all, its so sweet..

but wait there is more..... Ebony's father got remarried in Dec, that was great for Ebony as she was the flower girl she looked gorgous and of course she took her job very seriously. I have a photo to prove it lol. She looked very grown up it was hard to believe that made up girl was my 5 year old daughter. Now she is on my back to get married to my boyrfriend Mark. I think it was the fact that she wanted to be a flower girl again. Ummm the jury is still out on that one, I didnt plan to remarry and the way I see it if it aint broken why try and fix it. (no offence to anyone who chose that marriage is for them, its just that I have been there once and i dont plan to go back and do it again too much hurt and pain)

yes 2008 is a big year of new beginnings for everyone I think, Yes my boyfriend and I have bitten the bullet and guess what we are moving intogether (gasp shock startled) yes My family and friends have said its about time what took you two so long??. well as I said I have been married before and I see living together as a form of marriage and commitment. I have no issues of being committed thats easy its the marriage part, i dont know why but a piece of paper and a ring does something to a couple it changes things. I dont know why but it does. Well it did with me. Yes so we are going to be living together in about 2 weeks. Another reason why i took so long is because i had to make sure ebony was ok and happy with the idea. as soon as I got the ok from her it was all systems go. She was here before Mark was and her happiness is very important to me.

but thats not all........... Ebony has been asking for a baby brother well she has been asking for the past year for one. Now before you jump the gun i am not pregnant, we are considering having a baby not this year but maybe next. Yes everyone i know almost fell over when we told them that. I thought I wouldnt have another or even consider another baby, but its on the back burner its not set in concrete, but maybe.............................

Well I better let you go, I have to go and get organised for work. I wish you all a successful prosperous and a joyful 2008.

Hello everyone, I want to thank you for reading my blogs. I hope they are very useful for you.

I love this site to bits I get on every single day to read the questions and answer's sometimes I reply yet other times I sit and think and learn from everyone else.

But today I have been touched deep within my soul and I want to give you a blue ribbon. It may be a virtual blue ribbon but the love and warm honest feeling is still there behind it. Thank you to all my minti friends near and far just being you, you have made a difference in my life and I thank you all from the very bottom of my heart and soul.

I received this from a friend today and wanted to share it with my
>friends,
hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
A teacher in New York decided to honour each of her

seniors in High School by telling them the difference

each of them had made. She called each student to

the front of the class, one at a time.

First, she told each of them how they had made a
difference to her, and the class. Then she presented
each of them with a blue ribbon, imprinted with gold
letters, which read, "Who I Am Makes a Difference."

Afterwards, the teacher decided to do a class
project, to see what kind of impact recognition
would have on a Community. She gave each of
the students three more blue ribbons, and instructed
them to go out and spread this acknowledgment ceremony.
Then they were to follow up on the results, see who honored
whom, and report to the class in about a week.

One of the boys in the class went to a junior executive in a
nearby Company, and honored him for helping him with his
career planning. He gave him a blue ribbon, and put it on his
shirt.

Then he gave him two extra ribbons and said, "We're doing a
class project on recognition, and we'd like for you to go
out, find somebody to honor, give them a blue ribbon, then give
them the extra blue ribbon so they can acknowledge a third person,
to keep this acknowledgment ceremony going. Then please
report back to me and tell me what happened."

Later that day, the junior executive went in to
see his boss, who had been noted, by the way, as being kind of a grouchy fellow. He sat his boss down, and he told him that he deeply admired
him for being a creative genius. The boss seemed very surprised. The junior executive asked him if he would accept the gift of the blue ribbon, and would he give him permission to put it on him. His surprised
boss said, "Well, sure." The junior executive took the blue ribbon and placed it right on his boss's jacket, above his heart. As he gave him the last extra ribbon, he said, "Would you take this extra ribbon, and pass it
on by honoring somebody else. The young boy who first
gave me the ribbons is doing a project in school, and we
want to keep this recognition ceremony going and find out
how it affects people."

That night, the boss came home to his 14-year-old
son, and sat him down. He said, "The most incredible thing happened to me today. I was in my office, and one of the junior executives came
in and told me he admired me, and gave me a blue ribbon for being a creative genius. Imagine! He thinks I am a creative genius! Then he put a blue ribbon that says, "Who I Am Makes a Difference", on my
jacket above my heart. He gave me an extra ribbon and
asked me to find somebody else to honor. As I was
driving home tonight, I started thinking about whom
I would honor with this ribbon, and I thought about
you. I want to honor you. My days are hectic and
when I come home, I do not pay a lot of attention to
you. Sometimes I scream at you for not getting good
enough grades in school, and for your bedroom being
a mess. Somehow, tonight, I just wanted to sit here
and, well, just let you know that you do make a
difference to me. Besides your mother, you are the
most important person in my life. You're a great
kid, and I love you!"

The startled boy started to sob and sob, and he
could not stop crying His whole body shook. He
looked up at his father and said through his tears,
"Dad, earlier tonight I sat in my room and wrote a
letter to you and Mom, explaining why I had took my
life, and I asked you to forgive me. I was going to
commit suicide tonight after you were asleep.
I just did not think that you cared at all. The
letter is upstairs. I don't think I need it after all."
His father walked upstairs and found a heartfelt
letter full of anguish and pain.

The boss went back to work a changed man. He
was no longer a grouch, but made sure to let all
of his employees know that they made a difference.
The junior executive helped several other young
people with career planning, and never forgot to
let them know that they made a difference in his
life...one being the boss' son. In addition, the young
boy and his classmates learned a valuable lesson,

"Who you are DOES make a difference".
You are under no obligation to pass this on to

anyone.... not to two people, or to two hundred. As

far as I am concerned, you can forget it and move on. On the other hand, if you want, you could
send it to all of the people who mean something to
you, or send it to the one, two, or three people who mean the most.

On the other hand, just smile and know that I

think that you are important, or you would not
have received this in the first place. Who you are
does make a difference, and I wanted you to know that.

Isn't this a wonderful story? I'm passing the blue ribbon to you, for who YOU are does make a difference, too.

May GOD BLESS YOU. Have an awesome day, and know that

someone has thought about you today!

Today's Message of the Day is:

Life is short, Break the rules,
Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly,
Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably,
And never regret anything that made you smile.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should
dance....
