Well a couple of things to pass along...

I am now officially an Aussie.  Did the citizenship ceremony on Wed night!  Woo Hoo.

And now that I am an Aussie, it looks as if we will be moving back to the USA!  Dean has a job interview at the end of the month in Houston and fingers crossed he gets the job!   Then we will try to get there asap.  His immigration paperwork is already in so we are in a waiting game at the moment.

Exciting stuff.  Hope you all are well.

Met up at Stickybeaks Cafe at Kings Park in Perth.  Lucky enough to meet veejay (Vicky) and her husband Roy and August88 (Lynette) came as well. 

Vicky and Roy were there first and were wise enough to look on the profiles to see what people looked like.  They were there first, followed by Dean, Harrison, and Me, then Lynette shortly after.  Then the guest of honor arrived!  Yay Steve. 

He was as lovely as I imagined he would be!  Would have to be!  We sat around and had coffees and chatted, then moved onto lunch and chatted.  Very nice morning/afternoon. 

Thanks Steve for being brave enough to hang out with the hot Minti Chicks in Perth!

So this completes the photos from the day...finally!

But the real reason I am on here is to remind you I am meeting Mr Janice Povey (aka Steve) on Sat.  Weather is going to be crappy, but we will have fun.

Holiday was awesome.  I would recommend Hawaii to anyone.  You can get a serene tropical island or a hopping city (on a tropical island).  I loved both places.  Can't wait to return to another island.

We have had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves.  Maui is just gorgeous.

We did the Road to Hana, Molokini, snorkled Kapalua Bay, took a drive down the coast to Wialea.  And had plenty of beach and pool time.

Harrison has been really good.  Not getting the kind of sleep he should (late nights and early mornings) but hasn't been unwell since the first day here. 

We are sad to leave but excited about Honolulu too.

Oh-at the moment, we have almost  700 photos from our trip.  We got my dad and brothers photos too!

Having an awesome time.  Maui is gorgeous!

Harrison is doing great and having so much fun.  We did a 10 hr bus ride around the island and he was a champ.  Going on a 5 hour boat/snorkling trip to Molokini tomorrow.  So excited.

Arrived in Maui at 0800 in time for 4th of July.  Great to see my dad.  Harrison warmed to him straight away. 

Went to the pool and the beach yesterday.  Had naps in the afternoon.  Went into Lahaina for dinner (it was packed).  Got lucky and got seated quickly after telling us it would be a 2 hour wait.  Went to Bubba Gumps  and it was yummy!  We were on the waterfront and were able to see the fireworks when they were shot off right in front of us!  It was so good.  Brought tears to my eye to be in the USA for the 4th again! 

Harrison unfortunately was really sick.  He had a fever and fell asleep in the car on the way.  got some tylenol and when he woke up I got a dose in him.  He started to feel better after a while and was up late, then he slept pretty well.  Has been pretty good today.  Persistant cough and runny nose but no fever.

Gotta run, off to a Luau tonight!

Just a quick note to say that I will be heading off on vacation in less than 4 days!  We are off to Hawaii for 2 glorious weeks.

We (Dean, me, Mel, Cam and Harrison) are in Maui for the first week with my dad, brother and wife and kids.  The second week, we are in Oahu (Waikiki) with us and my dad.  So looking forward to seeing everyone and for them to see Harrison.

I wanted to do a wave with his initials in the wave.  But when I was talking to the tattoo dude, he said the colors didn't cover so well.  So we incorporated the flower to help cover the old one.  The water for Harrison, he is an Aquarius and a total water baby.  I love the water too.  And his initials are there as well...HGR.

Harrison and I arrived in Melbourne this morning at about 1115!  That means we left Perth at 0610...yuck!  Anyway, Harrison is busy kicking the wall instead of napping...I am dragging ass and just wanted to let you know I was in Melbourne!

Meeting up with Nat and a few other Minti Mums tomorrow!  How very exciting. 

It is strange that Nat and I have been friends for so long and now we are finally going to meet each other!  And the others too, but Nat and I probably chat every day.  Its gonna be so nice to actually talk to her again and be able to give her a big fat hug and kiss those gorgeous kids of hers!

So, na na nana na.  I get to met Winja!

Went into Crystal Cave on a guided tour.  It was amazing.  On our walk over to the cave we saw quite a few kangaroos hopping by.  Harrison enjoyed it too.  After, we listened to a Koala talk in their Koala enclosure...saw a few Koalas.  Then had a picnic in the park and played around a bit.  Harrison wanted an ice cream but the didn't have any peanut free so we went in to Yanchep then on to Two Rocks marina for an ice cream and a play.  Harrison fell asleep on the way home so we took the long scenic drive home down the coast.  It was a beautiful day.  Then my inlaws came over for dinner.  And poor Harrison took a tumble down the steps in the back yard and got a whopper of a graze on his forehead.  And he had his bike helmet on too!  Poor little tike!

I am a very proud mommy of an adorable and too smart for his own good 3 year old.

We had a great time.  Harrison spent the night with his aunt, uncle and cousin.  We had the night to ourselves.  We dropped Harrison off with the family around 1730, dinner at 1800.  Went to a vietnamese restaraunt...it was so yum!  Got to the circus early and had a couple of drinks while waiting.  Then the show...incredible.

I got in trouble from hubby for my choice of clothes...too dressy....we don't go out very often and I took this opportunity to dress up.  Hubby said he was going to wear shorts.  Asked why I was so dressed up...I said this isn't the type of circus where elephants shit on the floor!  So we dressed up, enjoyed ourselves and will do it again if we can...

What a fantastic day!  It was cool overnight and this morning so there were tons of animals about.  By midday, it had warmed up quite a bit and the animals were starting to have their afternoon heat of the day siesta...as evidenced by the lion shots...

Don't worry, its not a real galapagos turtle but the one in the background is!

As you can see the lions are having a bit of a kip...right next to the viewing room!  It was awesome and they are some big animals...

They take the elephants for walks around the zoo.  Harrison is in the foreground of the above shot.  this was the second walk of the day we got to witness!
