So then we just did some shopping and had lunch and overall had a really great day! And tonight we are going to friends for a roast dinner, yummo! What a fantastic day!

On the weekend we went to the hairdresser and Daniel and Caitlin got their hair cut! She didnt want to untill she was aloud to sit in the chair that Daniel had his cut in with the same girl! She was such a good girl though, just sat and stared at herself in the mirror and smiled at the girl doing her hair!
She has a BOB! It has changed her face so much, she looks so much older now! My girl isnt even 2! I love it though, I think she looks so very adorable, it seems to bring our her cheekyness as well but that isnt exactly a good thing! LOL!

I enjoy having Tuesdays to sleep when Caitlin does between working days. On tuesday I dropped the towels over to the embroiderer to get their names put on them as something special so it wasnt just a bath set. Then Caitlin and I had a big nap and in the afternoon we went to the library. Caitlin had a ball as she made a friend to run around the play house with and I sat on the couch and had a little read. We did a little shopping (the library is at the shopping centre, too convenient!) and then went home. Daniel had training so he was home late so Caitlin and I had leftovers and a nice long bath together.

Wednesday was work, Linda the office manager works from home on Wednesdays, and i tell you, it is so quiet and boring without her! But on the up side I got SO much work done that there is now a vague glimmer that i might get it all done before I leave for maternity leave.

Thursday is mothers group day. Both Caitlin and I love mothers group day! This week it was at Amandas grandmas (she is housesitting) and we then went to the park up the road. It was pretty cool and fenced so we didnt need to stress to hard when they headed off into their own little direction. Caitlin had a ball with the girls, 3 of them took off and went 'exploring' and found a tap! Fun for all concerned!!!

Today Daniel was home. We went to the photographers to get a family portrait as we dont have one (I won a $200 voucher when I put my name in at the supermaket, cool hey!) So we got some good pics then Caitlin cracked it adn we left. She had woken up early, I think cause she was cold, and usually I can just bring her into my bed and she will go back to sleep but cause Daniel was there too she got excited and wouldnt go back to sleep! Then I went and had my pregnancy glucose test, it wasnt too bad but it made me sooo tired!!! I went to my old blood nurse (near my old house) as she can get my blood out and understands that it comes out of the vein in my wrist and doesnt bother with my arm first as it always fails, she remembered me and we had a chat. She is really lovely. I went home and slept for like 2 hours, then we went and got some groceries and we had yummo spaghetti for dinner!

Thats my week so far. Oh,and unfortunately Daniels mum just called to tell him that their childhood dog died. Devastating as it was a real shock. The ligaments in both his back legs perished or something and the vet said he had never seen anything like it so they had to put him down. The poor thing. Boofa was her man and its going to really hurt not having him around. Daniel is pretty cut, Boof was technically his dog but by the time he moved out it would have been unfair to move him, plus his mum had claimed him and I doubt she would have let him go. we have a photo on our fridge of him with a party hat on years ago, he was a funny little thing.

Anyway, I just made crunchy fig and apricot slice so I am going to taste test and if it is good I will add the reciepe to one of the groups later!

here is the happy couple. This is actually the dress that Daniels mother got married in! Nice hey! They just ultered it a little by taking off this shawly thing which was attached to it. I think she looks sensational!

We brought her some floaties so she can swim "by herself"in the pool and she loved it so much! She really is a water baby. Her Aunty Stacy and her had lots of fun in the pool, couting to 3 and jumping into Stacys arms! Such a clever girl!

She loved the beach too! No fear of the waves, she copped a facefull a few times but she kept going back for more and wanting to go deeper and deeper! And the seagulls were great fun as she tried to catch them, the was rather devestated that they kept flying away from her though!

And there was lots of horsing around with her Aunties and Uncle. Caitlin really enjoyed having so many people around the house, I think she must get bored when it is only her and me! This is her Aunty Kerry (Macs mum) who she has only met once but who she decided was fantastic!

Overall the weekend was fantastic and we are heading down again tonight for Stacy's wedding on Saturday! Going to be great! So hope everyone has a great weekend and will catch up with you all next week!

The next day was the day of the funeral, a lovely overcast kinda drizzly day which seemed fitting. It honestly was a lovely service given by Uncle Vincey who was poppy's brother in law and daniel and caitlin and the other kids did a tribute with little objects (as grandkids and great-grandkids) which was lovely, and tearjerking at the same time. Caitlin was good but was prone to wandering so I didnt really concentrate too hard which is good for me as I didnt want to have a massive breakdown. The lowering of the body was the hardest thing, so sad, getting a little teary thinking about it. Caitlin made everyone smile though as there was a basket of rose petals and everyone scattered some over the coffin as it was lowered so after everyone was done she grabbed teh basket, sat by the edge of the grave and proceeded to drop the rest in one by one. Uncle Vincy loved it especially, it was kinda simbolic and at least helped everyone with their pain a little.

So after that long day was over we all went home and ate spag bol.

As daniels eldest sister is getting married there on the weekend all the other kids are staying there for the week, his parents are stoked, its not often they get this much of our time, and all at once is non existant so they have loved it! We stayed there till today, but spent Saturday night out at my mums, (we cant stay there for almost a week and not see her!) and stopped in to see my darling friend Erin who is due the same time as me. It was great to see her, she is HUGE! I will post some pics after I get them off my camera! So overall we honestly had a ball, went to the beach a few times which Caitlin loves, there was alot of drinking done by everyone except me! And also a fair bit of lazing around watching movies and just chilling.

I honestly have had the best time, it was a shame that we had to come home, we both need to work though, especially for my pay as I am a casual so no work no pay, and I am already down to just one day this week cause of Monday. But we will be back down on Thursday night for the wedding on Saturday and I am really looking forward to it!

Daniels eldest sister Stacy and Chris are coming up tomorrow afternoon to stay the night so they can get tot eh airport early and pick up chrises parents so we get to show off our new house! YAY! So, on that note, I had better go and do a little cleaning!

The funeral is on Wednesday so although it is going to be a sad day it is also abit of a relief as he was sick and really just wanted to go, now he is with Nanny and I am sure that they are both happy.

The funeral is next week so we will be going down for it and probably going to stay over the easter long weekend.

I'm currently loving Alexis and Daniel likes Abbey but we have nothing that we both love!

So Jayden and Caitlin had lots of fun playing at Nannies. They live in the bush and have lots and lots of land for them to run amuck on. They LOVED the cows and the horses, but I couldnt make Caitlin feed the cows from her hand, she kept throwing the bread at them and scaring them! LOL! Oh well, she wasnt afraid of them at all!

We went to visit Caitlins great grandad in hospital while we were down there. It was sad, he is not well, he has lost so much weight and just looked skeletal in the bed. He was very glad to see Caitlin though even though he was wheezing pretty bad and had a oxygen mask on so he scared her. He had a little laugh at my belly too, its grown so much since Christmas which was the last time he saw me.

Hope everyone is ok and that Bel, they find out what is wrong with you soon and you get better!

Or, as the ultrasound man said, "I cant see any boy bits".

So everything is fine, I may have to go back for a 30 week scan just to check on some things but it depends on what my doctor thinks, so I will have a chat to her when I get there.

The little darling spent the whole time trying to suck her thumb, you can see her arm in front of her face in the scan there.

So that was great, he gave us a little CD with the pics and some little video footage on it to keep, so cool! Its all getting exciting again! And being another girl I dont have to buy anything! LOL! Cheaper option for me!

Then tomorrow we have our 20 week scan and will (fingers crossed) find out what sex the baby is! Oh I hope we do, I am so excited!

So anyways, have fun all!

Sunday was fun! We went down to visit some friends and meet their newborn son Baxter. Absolutely adorable! Oh, and a sleeper, oh that is my dream, he slept basically the whole time I was there! But dont worry, I still got my cuddle time in! Ciatlin was funny with him, she utterly ignored him for ages and then when Daniel picked him up she came over for a sticky beak and ended up gently patting him. It was funny to watch her pat him, seriously the way she pats the cat, but much more gentle!

It was great to see them, they have adapted to parenthood so well it was fantastic to see them as a beautiful little family!

On the way home we stopped off to see my brother as I realised I havent seen my nephew since our honeymoon which was in October! Crazy! He is so cute! AS different to caitlin as night and day, she is plump and dark hair and eyes and he is quite thin with blond hair and beautiful blue eyes. We also borrowed their bassinette, it is a fantastic cane one and is quite large! So that is one less thing to think about too.

I had a ball there, the kids are partners in crime so they cruised around her house together, I got to chat with Catherine about their upcoming wedding, which is in August! Woo HOO! She showed me the bridesmaids dress, a beautiful chocolate brown strapless number, so upset I had to say no, but its just to close to my due date. It is so relaxing becuase although they are so near the gold coast they are still in the hills with all the bush and it is lovely!

Anyways, we had a ball, got home late and Caitlin stayed awake the whole time in the car! I was so surprised, but she was covered in sand so I didnt really want her to go to sleep as she had to have a shower!

A great time was had by all!

Well alot has been happening in the life of Nikki. First thing is that my bestest favourite friend lost a baby. She went for a dating scan and was told that she had had a miscarrage. Alot of sadness and grief. She had a blood test which must have shown elevated hormone levels so she was booked into another scan a week later. She had given up hope, but I was so absolutely convinced that everything will be ok, that I started to convince her, she went back to taking the vitamins, only to find out later that it was all over and had to have it removed at the hospital the next day. Obviously being pregnant myself, a good friend and a mother myself I grieved with her. I feel so awful for getting her hopes up, but I was so very sure it would turn out to be just like it was with me. My scan was out by about 2 weeks to the date the doctor estimated and everything turned out fine for me, the embryo just took ages to implant itself or something. I got her hopes up, and another friend at mothers group who she told had a similar thing with her baby. I feel so guilty, I dont know what I was thinking, I didnt want her to give up hope, but really, a doctor does have the medical qualifications to back them up. So it was a long and difficult 2 weeks for her and her family. She is actually doing very well now though. Taking solice in her beautiful son and they are planning to try again at the end of the year.

Back to me, I had a random growth cut of my back which turned out to be rather bad. Malignant cancer. It actually started out as a sweat glad, how gross is that! When I was pregnant with Caitlin I had a pimple looking thing which grew and grew and was removed after I had her and turned out to be cancerous, but not bad. So when this random lump thing I have had on the back of my neck started to multiply I showed the doc who had never seen anything like it, luckily she removed it becuase of the last one so there is nothing to worry about now, jsut have to keep my eye on the scar to ensure that nothing grows out of it basically. Has anyone heard of that before? Pregnancy causing cancerous things to grow so quickly?

Caitlin is doing great. She is getting to be such a big girl, teething again the poor darling, she is such a bad teether, she is in so much pain and it is so hard to watch, and put up with her! Honestly, she is a little terror sometimes! But so beautiful she usually gets away with it! Cheeky pants she is too, she doesnt have many words but boy does she understand alot! Not that she does what she is told most of the time mind you, but she understands none-the-less!

Guppy is growing pretty quickly too! I am definately pregnant now, I hardly showed till about 6 months with Caitlin so it is scary being that big already, hopefully I dont have a 10 tonne tessa! I am going for my 20 week scan at the start of March, cant wait, fingers crossed we find out what it is!  I will post some pics of Caitlin and my growing belly when I can be bothered to wait 600 years for them to upload.

Anyways, this is a massively long blog for me. So it should tide you over for a little while! LOL! I cant wait till we sort out the computer and I am back on track with Minti, I am missing even more than I usually miss! LOL!

We are having some trouble with the computer at the moment, we had to switch to wireless broadband and we cant seem to find a good spot for it and we are running on slower than dial up and I dont have the patience to deal with it so I am just not computing much at the moment!

So things are good, I got the random growth cut off my back and it doesnt look to be cancerous so thats good, baby is going well, will have 20 week ultrasound soon, so excited! Caitlin loves it here and is currently outside patting my cat who is desperately trying to find a place to hide! Ah bliss!

We went to mothers group today and Caitlin had a ball as usual. But she got rather tired so we left early so she could come home and nap.

Her friend Rhuben came over today as well to play while his mum went to a doctors appointment. Caitlin really wasnt all to into it, I think it was because she woke up and he was here maybe? Anyways, she became a downright brat! It was terrible, poor Rhuben wasnt aloud to touch any of her toys without her screaming at him. She had a few time outs but eventually they became besties again.

It was so funny, he started following her around and eventually she took him to her new favourite spot, the empty cupboard in the spare room. So they spent seriously about an hour giggling and playing in there all by themselves. It was funny, you would hear one of them gabbling away and then they would both giggle! I swear they were in there telling jokes!

Anyways, better go, time for me to have a shower and go to bed! This pregnancy is making me so so so tired all the time!
