So begins my long weekend!!!!!

My hubby left this morning on a 5 day golf trip!!! Lucky him. It's raining here, the kids are in a bad mood and I got to book in for an uncomfortable medical procedure (colonoscopy). No wonder Im in a bad mood. Then he rings me and tells me how lovely the resort is that they are staying at at Nelsons Bay. Did he think that would improve my mood!!!!???? Well thats the end of my rant........

I am feeling the pressure of the limited time I have left on my maternity leave. Sam is starting to do so much now and Hannah is getting clingy. She knows I am going back to work and she isn't happy about it. I am trying to spend every second with them but it still doesn't seem like enough. I am so torn and hubby doesn't fully understand how hard this is for me. I just need to become super organised so that I can do the super mum thing (like thats ever going to happen!!!)

Pressure surrounding the idea of a 'good parent'

I find this happens every now and again. Whenever I read through parenting books, magazines or internet sites I become stressed out! I spend time with my children, they are clothed, fed and most importantly loved. Sometimes that doesn't seem like enough...... I won't go into details because I am in a stressed out mood and I don't want to say anything I might regret later. I need to do what my husband is always telling me to do, stop worrying about what other people think!!! lol

My hubby has a rostered day off every second Monday. I have loved these Mondays while I have been on maternity leave!!!! We went for lunch and a wander around the shops- had coffee. It was so nice!!!! But hubby is coming back from his golf trip on his next RDO and the Monday after that I am back at work!!!!!!!!! My stomach is churning thinking about it. I feel this urgency to spend every second with Hannah and Sam because I know that the days are going to get so much busier when I go back to work!!!! Wiah for me to win the lotto (I will share it I promise), LOL.......

What a nice Sunday afternoon. The kids loved visiting the Thomas and friends train rides, the weather here today is amazing!!! We took them to McDonalds and now I am home. Sam is having a much needed nap, (he is too nosey to sleep when we are out anymore) and Tony has taken Hannah to visit his brother for a while. So I am browsing eBay and looking around Minti! Oh yes and I am putting on washing and hanging it out, no complete rest for the wicked!!! Oh I hear a car in the driveway, it won't be quiet anymore!!!!

I got to have a bit of a look around Minti tonight, I am sooo impressed. I could spend hours and hours here, (and I probably will!!) I have sat with a cup of tea and some Krispy Kreme donuts and the kids have slept soundly. I have stayed up way too late though. It is midnight and I am supposed to be up early to take the kids to a train ride park in the morning. Coffee and another donut will wake me, lol!!!! Goodnight everyone!

Well my two are feeling a bit better today. Sam was in the best mood he has been in all week. Hannah had a rough night but felt better this morning after a sleep in. So I asked my mum to sit with Sam and I took Hannah to the library and then to the mall for a look around- she was so happy to get out of the house for a while. We bought hubby his Fathers Day gift- Hannah was very proud to pick it out and i found a new pair of shoes that fit me perfectly and that never happens!!!! I got to have a quiet coffee and hannah was so good. All in all a realy nice afternoon. And oh yes- Sam was good for my mum!!

I just finished watching a program about an American family called The Goslings, they have 4 year old twins and 2 year old sextuplets!!!!! I am in awe. It makes me feel ridiculous about saying I am stressed out!!!!

I think I need to teach Hannah her address really soon. My mum asked her what her address was today and she said 'it's pink and it has flowers all over it'. I nearly spat tea out of my nose!!!!!

Sitting and waiting to go to bed

I hate this time of night. I am sitting here having a cup of tea, trying to decide when to go to bed. Sam hasn't coughed or had a temperature. Hannah has coughed, thrown up and had a temperature. She has been asleep for an hour now but I know as soon as I close my eyes I will want to get up and check on them both. I would be happier if I didn't need to sleep at all.!!!!! Maybe 20 more minutes........

I want winter to be over!!!!

I can not wait for winter to be over. I am sick to death of Hannah and Sam getting sick with coughs and colds!!! Bring on the warmer weather!! Both of them are sick again tonight, Hannah with a temperature and a cough. Sam with a cough that hopefully is starting to subside after a week. Bring back long blocks of sleep!!!!!!!!
