He has been saying "Dada" for awhile now but it's really a general word in reference to pretty much everything and everyone but today he said his first proper word. He pointed at Sera-Jade's Dora the Explorer pajama pants, touched Dora's face and said, "Dora!" with the biggest grin you have ever seen. We had to get him to say it a few more times to convince us but thats it. Our sons first word is Dora!
More firsts, Asher is standing on his own. He just randomly lets go of whatever he is holding onto and stands all alone. He has tried to take a few steps and has done 2 steps in total before falling over. It won't be long before he is walking and we couldn't be more proud. I had forgotten how exciting all the major milestones are. Awesome!

Why I'm on Minti

We go to playgroup once a week. There are an awesome group of ladies there & I have alot of fun, but I am one of the youngest (by like 10 years!!). During conversation one of the other Mums jokingly said to me, "Sina you look so bored, must be used to all the 'young people' talk eh?"

That got me thinking.... I don't actually know any young people! Crazy as it sounds. We have been living here for 2 years and I haven't made any contact with people my own age. The only people I actually see on a regular basis are my parents, brother, partner, aunty, uncle & the kids & the women at playgroup for 2 hours a week. Thats less than 20 people! Right now in Australia less than 20 people even know that I exist!!

Yet amazingly as a Mum I am happier than I have ever been in my life. I have completely found my calling. I was created to pro-create! But I do need to widen my very small circle of friends.

So here I am looking for friendship & more people to acknowledge my existence. lol
