Just to quickly blog and let you know how i am doing. Yes i did have baby on the 5 November 2009 at 8.16pm. I was pretty happy with how i handled the birth... LOL.. and that it went pretty quick

They were definately contractions i was getting that morning and i texted my son's bestfriends mum at about 7.30am to warn her that today might be the day as we organised for her to watch the kids which she was so happy to do. Everytime i saw her she would say if you need anything just call, even if you want me to take the kids away for a few hours etc... (that was during my pregnancy)

By lunchtime i decided to ask hubby if he can take the rest of the afternoon off from work so he can pick up Keandre from school as i did not feel like driving to pick him up if this was it... lol...then he was able to drop the kids off at my friends house at about 4.30pm when she came home from work . The kids were so excited that baby might be coming that night and that they get to sleep over at there friends house on a school night... lol...

Anyway i've been timing my contractions as i wanted to be certain they were contractions...LOL... I was still unsure as they varied from 3 - 15 mins apart... and by 5.30pm they were about 3 - 7 mins apart if i was counting them right so i decided to ring the hospital and see what they said. I did warn them earlier that morning that i thought my contractions were coming and they told me how to count them and if they got closer to call again and maybe come in. I hesitated at the moment in whether i should go in now or hang on a little longer as i wanted to be sure... hahaha.... as i did not want to be sent back home if nothing was happening yet

When i got there the midwife examined me and said "wow your doing a pretty good job here" I guess referring to the pain as i was already 6 cm dialated! I was just glad that I wont be sent home now… LOL… They started me on the gas for pain relief which actually was such a relief considering I went that long without it as my contractions got stronger. From then on it was kind of a blurr as I drifted in and out of my lovely less painful world… hahaha…. Soon in no time I had the urge to push and was totally sniffing in that gas. The midwife who delivered our baby was a guy and I recall him saying to me to stop breathing in the gas so much so the baby can come out quicker as the gas slows it down. I do remember saying to him “NO WAY” and held onto the gas for dear life... hahaha... but then I thought ok if it will quicken the birth I wont breath in the gas every second… hahaha… eventually when I did that our little baby boy finally came out at about 8.16pm.

Hubby was able to cut the cord as he asked before hand if he could as with the other kids they never did ask if he wanted to do that. I guess it would be an experience he would never forget.

Unfortunately I had to get stitches but im not sure what kind of tear I had, though it was internal. Luckily they continued me on the gas as they stitched me up as the Doctor was unable to give me a local for that certain area where she had to stitch me up because it was deep. Though another area she was able to give me a local aneastetic. Overall I guess the stitches were not as bad as my other births.

Anyway, here he is….

KAIZER AMARO

(His name we found in a baby name book like my other kids. Kaizer is Bulgarian for Caeser and Amaro was Native American for “strong”)

Weight: 3.4 kg

Length: 54 cm

Ok... today is the day, im pretty sure of it... LOL... Im here typing this blog as i am getting contractions

They actually started early this morning, im not sure the time, might of been between 2-4am i got up to go to the toilet to pee as well as my lower back was aching a bit. Got back to bed and from then on i could feel cramps coming and going but not that noticable as i just drifted back to sleep thinking its nothing cause i have been finding it very uncomfy to sleep the last week. Anyway i woke up as usual and still feel the cramps.... I immediately think "OMG this is it" but then i didnt want to get my hopes up... LOL... I went to the toilet and there was a very bloody show... YAY... sorry... LOL....

Well i guess this is it then. I've been timing my contractions you can say and they have been between 7 to 15 mins apart, pain lasting about 10-30 seconds. The pain is not that bad but i can feel it getting stronger too. I guess now im just waiting for the right time to call hubby to come home and let the hospital know that i am coming in... LOL...

Well i better go and walk around a bit as sitting down isnt really helping... hehe... til next blog i probably be introducing my new little addition

Yes today is the day baby should be born but looks like he doesnt want to get evicted yet... lol... So here i am still waiting for definate signs of labour to appear. Sometimes i think ok here is a sign, this must be it but then after a while nothing... hmm... so frustrating... lol...

I guess it shouldnt be too long now. A couple of weeks ago i've been getting some braxton hicks but they seem to of dissappeared now and dont want to appear again. The other day i started to get a bit of a cold all of a sudden, one friend said it could be a sign of labour coming cause of my hormones that produced to bring on labour interfere with your immune system, so your body puts up a fight, which i never knew before but i think it might of just been me having all the windows open at night and sleeping with no blankets and apparently that night got pretty cool... lol... I do sometimes occassionally feel a bit of pressure down there when baby moves and seems to press on me which i read that baby presses on part of your cervix where it has rippened a bit, so i guess that could be a positive sign too that my cervix is rippening and getting ready.

Oh well, I guess if i dont think of it, it will eventually happen... If baby doesnt appear today i know for sure he will definately make an appearance within the next 10 days, thats how long they let you go past before they will induce you...

Fingers cross that it will happen soon... til next time, hope everyone is well and take care...

Yep im still waiting for baby to decided when he wants to make an appearance... lol... My due date is next Friday 30th so im here waiting now to see if he wants to come out early or late Other than that all is good. I thought baby started to quieten down a bit in movement but i was wrong... he was so hyper last night/early morning having some sort of party in my belly! My midwife said on Monday when i had my check up that baby's head has move 3/5 down so he is slowly moving into position, I think that she said that is as far as he would go til im ready for labour, then he will move his way along some more. Im starting to feel move braxton hicks which i never felt with my other pregnancies. Im still monitoring my blood sugar level even though i do not have gestational diabetes. My GP just got so worried the last couple of months with my blood sugar levels going up and down, up and down... so he sent me to a dietician/diabetic educator who has then got me to monitor it since. Im use to monitoring myself now and i dont mind doing it. In a way its good to see where my BGL stands and that im in the healthy range a majority of the time and if i did go over, i know why because of which foods i have eaten which kind of makes me more aware of what i eat and that it is healthy. Which is good in the long term.

Anyway, not much else is happening. School holidays are over and i cant believe how quick they went by. Was kept busy however helping my son with his first major school project which he had to do during the holidays. I couldnt believe he recieve such kind of homework in Yr.1. Normally i would expect it in Yr.3 which i recall was when i first did my first project which i had to research somthing. Well there project they had to do was research a form of transport. They had to describe it, how it works, different types, safety rules and what you can use it for. Keandre decided to do it on motorbikes because we own a motorbike and thought it would be good to take photos of the different parts of the bike etc... for the project. I did however experienced alot of tears from Keandre when he was trying to write out his sentences to put in the project. He is such a perfectionist and hates doing mistakes or if the letter he wrote was not good enough, he gets frustrated. But eventually we got it done. I got him writing it in a notepad and then cutting it out if it was perfect to stick on the cardboard. Well we were glad when we finally finished it and handed it in yesterday.

The second major project he has to do as part of the Transport theme they were studying was to make a wearable cardboard box rally car which is due next week. That was much more fun for him to do as he loves creative stuff. In a way i did most of the work (i wonder how many marks i will get)... LOL... but he helped me design what he wanted... I think we kind of went overboard with the back bit where he wanted a big exhaust with heaps of boosters... hahaha as you will see in the photo below. But overall it turned out pretty good. All i need to do is put some shoulder straps on so he can wear it.

Anyway that is it for now... hopefully next time i blog baby has arrived... hehehe...

Well im about 35 weeks pregnant now, i cant believe how quick it has gone by So sometime next month baby will be born which is exciting as im so over being pregnant now, especially having trouble sleeping and finding stuff to wear... haha...

I've finally decided on what i will be packing in my maternity bag. Thanks to those people who answered my question a few weeks ago. From all your answers i've come down to what i will take and if i miss anything i will get hubby to get it for me. I didnt realise it was so hard to decide on what to pack... lol... I feel like im going away on a holiday... haha... I wish!!!

Anyway these are the things i have decided for a 3-4 day stay which is normal... I thought i would write it down just in case someone out there is reading and is unsure on what to pack:

For Myself/Toiletries

- 3 pj style pants (black or dark colour as its less noticiable if you leak )

- 4 t-shirts

- 3 maternity bras

- 3 pairs of socks

- 8 briefs (extra for leakage again)

- slippers

- A set of take home clothes

- toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash and floss (i actually bought a small travel pack from Big W which included all this for under $6)

- 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner

- Body wash

- Hair Mouse and comb

- Moisturiser

- Maternity pads

- Breast pads

- A book and some magazines

- Ipod and some coins for tv or snack machine... lol...

For Baby

Normally i use the hospital clothes they provide as well as nappies but will bring some of my own just in case times have changed...

- 1 pk newborn nappies

- 4 baby suits (2 each of different size, depending on how big baby will be)

- 4 singlets

- mittens

- blanket/wrap

- 2 dummies

Well thats all im taking but as i said if i miss something i will get hubby to bring it over

Anyway, not much else has been happening, just busy getting stuff sorted for the arrival of baby. Was really glad the other week we got paid our Family Tax Benefit Allowance Supplement. Its so good to recieve a letter saying "The Australian Government Owes You $$$$" LOL... Im glad as usual we over estimated our income this financial year again so the money we recieved has helped put us back up to date with bills, as well as paying extra on our debts and we were able to buy the pram we wanted for the baby instead of putting it on layby. The one Sander wanted which he has been longing for the past 7 years... LOL... (he always wanted a 3 wheel buggy) we decided on the Phil & Ted Sports Buggy in Apple green colour with the extra double kit, exactly like this one here. He wanted this type so he can go jogging with the kids in the mornings or afternoons. He took it on a test jog on the weekend with Lealiki and he loved it... LOL... So hopefully this will give him motivation to excercise as im sick of him complaining he needs to lose weight

Anyway better go do something productive... hehe... its my kids free day today

Here are some pics of me belly and my ultrasound at about 20 weeks...

Unfortunately today she is feeling very sick with some virus She started feeling ill a couple of days before but yesterday was worst, where she slept all day. Luckily i had my doctors appointment yesterday and i was able to squeeze her in as well. The doctor just said she had a virus of some sort and just plenty of rest and some panadol if neccessary and she should be find. After the doctor visit she did feel back to herself but come afternoon she was tired and ill again.

She is now lying here on the couch watching ABC kids while she waits for Nanny to arrive, she is always happy when she sees my mum, i guess because of all the presents she shouts her when she visits... lol...

Yep the kids are at school, hubby is back at work after a week holidays and im all alone... lol... now what can i do??? I guess the peace and quiet is good. I actually do have a whole list of "To Do" things written up in my head but trying to find the motivation is really hard... lol... I saw a quote online and it said "Procrastination is the Assassination of Motivation"... which is so true... haha... i seem to procrastinate quite a lot...

However i am glad the weather is starting to warm up a bit. You could really feel it last night as it was one of the warmest nights we had and i wasnt rugged up like an eskimo hoping into bed... lol... even this morning when i got up the house was not freezing as it normally would be...

If you were wondering how our anniversary dinner went from the last blog i did well it was good The restaurant we ate at was voted the best chinese in the 2009 restuarent and catering awards and it was actually one of the best chinese we have eaten at. Hubby ordered a Szeshan King Prawns which i thougt was going to be really hot but it wasnt too bad as i dont really like hot spicy foods and I ordered the Lemon Fried Duck which was good. I was very impress that they didnt cover the duck pieces in alot of batter which some restaurants do and you end up with a lot of batter and no meat so it was one of the best duck dishes i had. The service was good at the restuarant and very quick, actually in a way i kind of felt rushed... lol... as im not use to that as other restaurents we ate they take ages for the food to come out but here after ordering our entree was out within 10 mins, followed by the food within 10 mins after eating our entree. So all up we had our 3 course meal eaten and served within the hour which is so quick... lol... Afterwards we decided to borrow some dvds to watch before heading home. The kids had a ball with the babysitter. She said they ate all there dinner with no fuss at all (which is a shock to hear... lol... as it normally takes them alot of hurrying up and begging from us to eat or take some bites) They didnt want her to leave... hahaha... and kept asking when is she coming back!

Anyway i cant believe how Sander's one week of holidays went by so quick. He pretty much took and picked up the kids from school, cooked most of the meals and dinner and actually got quite a bit of an obsession with the gardening. He was outside most of the days weeding the garden beds even though we dont have to do it as garden matenience is included with our rent, however i have not seen the gardener weed the gardens but only mowed and the weeds were starting to get out of control. Sander decided to clean the weeds up a bit and amongh the weeds he found a tomato patch which the owners had growing but was not being looked after so he has taken the role of looking after that patch. So we will see how he goes and we might have some nice red tomatoes growing soon.

Besides the gardening, Sander had a goal of cleaning up the kids rooms which did not go as planned. There rooms are still a mess especially Lealiki's which hubby started tidying up but then got distracted in going downstairs and making a toy box for her and left her room messier than before. His excuse now is, when he has built both of the toy boxes he will then tidy up there room. He wants the kids to pick the favorite toys and whatever fits in the box they keep and the rest will be donated... hmm... im sure there will be a few tears and tantrums when that happens... lol...

Well i guess i better get off and do something as time just goes by so quickly, especially when i only have 2 months left til baby is born...

Have a good week everyone...

Yes we are celebrating 10 years of knowing each other and 8 years of marriage today

And what a rollercoaster ride it has been going through every obstacle that confronts a marriage... even though it has been only 8 years, i can say been there, done that... throw something even worst at us and im sure we can tackle it... lol... Im just happy life is back on track and that it will be smooth sailing from now on

When we woke up this morning we gave each other a present... hehe... I really like my present he gave, very thoughtful and something that i always say that i wanted to get but never end up getting it. It is a pot of fresh herbs... lol... yes a weird choice in a gift but i always wanted to try growing my own fresh herbs for cooking. There are 3 lots of herbs to start off with... parsley, garlic chives and basil... hopefully i can keep them alive... hahaha.... as my history in looking after potted plants is not the best Hopefully i can look after them like i do with my Facebook FarmTown crops... LOL....

Now my gift i gave hubby i thought was practical as well. Its his very own robe... hehe... I thought it was about time for him to get his own robe. The past 7 years he has been using this robe my mum gave me to wear in hospital for my first born but i never ended up wearing it... actually i never ended up wearing this robe at all. He has been doing that... LOL... He was so happy to get his own robe which is much warmer and nicer than the old one... hehe...

Tonight we will be going on our dinner date which i am excited to go. We have organised a babysitter for the kids who are excited to see as we told them they are going to have pizza tonight, followed by ice-cream for dessert... lol... The restaurant we decided to go to is Lotus on Lighthouse which is a restaurant we have not been before. It was voted the Best Chinese Restaurant in the 2009 NSW Restaurant and Catering Awards earlier this year. Hopefully the food and service would be great

Well must go and do a few things before our date... hehe... Enjoy your weekend everyone

Well last week i got a phone call from my mum that i was in the local paper... lol... from the School Reunion i attended. Which was pretty exciting... haha... as i said before i missed out on getting photos taken from friends as i left early but earlier in the night i did get my photo taken from the local journalist who i invited to attend and also i think my photographer friend/ex boss took some pics too. Here is a pic of the me in the paper, with hubby and my close family photographer friend/ex boss... lol

This wasnt the first time i've been in the paper. When i was younger in my teens i was one of 12 finalists in a Youth Week Poster competition in the state. I was quite surprise to find out that a few local papers between Coffs and Kempsey found out and written a little article of me being a finalist... lol... and had one paper contact me to do an interview... unfortunately i didnt win but the buzz of being in the top 12 of the state was exciting, now this competition has gone National Another time i was in the paper was when i was a contestant in the 1999 Macksville gift competition which i was "persuaded" by my ex boss pictured above to enter... lol... she was my sponsor and i just couldnt say no i didnt want to enter... hahahha... how can you especially when you work for her... haha... That was alot of fun and gave me a bit of confidence, especially going around raising money and fundraising. I came 2nd place in the Charity Queen section for raising the second most amount. I think i could of won if i had more chocolates to sell but my supervisor ran out... lol... I missed out on the top prize of an all expenses paid holiday to where ever you want!!! A friend who entered the previous year who was sponsored by my boss won it and she picked a weeks holiday in New Zealand, airfares and accommodations paid for. And i guess the last time i was in the paper would of been my wedding! They had a photo and little story of us on how we met... LOL...

Oh i got my blood test results yesterday when i saw the doctor and surprisingly it all came out normal. The doctor said on the 1 hr result i got a 5.0 and on the 2nd hour i got a 6.0. He thought it was very unusual how i got a 9 when i first did the test a week ago. I am very relieved that i dont have gestational diabetes but the doctor just wants to be certain and he has suggested for me to go speak to a dietician just to go over my diet. She called me this morning and i have made an appointment to see her next monday. Part of me thinks this is good to do but another part feels, i dont want to go as i dont want to change my diet and eat more healthy... LOL.... which i know i should!!!

Im now into my 3rd trimester though i am really confused with my dates still, i might still be just at the end of my second... lol... Im starting to feel tired again and slightly nauseus. Baby has been giving me good hard kicks, punches and movements, especially at night... haha... I really felt how bad the nausea got on the weekend when we decided to go on a supposely leisurely Sunday drive up a mountain towards a place called Ginger Creek. Hubby rode there on his bike on the Saturday without planning too, he was just practising his riding and came across a group of bikers... lol... and they invited him to come up there with them as its a good riding road. He went along but didnt realise there was no reception at all so he couldnt call me and let me know where he went... Anyway he wanted to show me the road and place so we decided to head off there. I didnt realise how whindy the road was and we only got halfway up when Keanddre vomited in the car which then lead me to vomit... LOL... which was not nice at all because i ended up vomiting through my nose!!! eeekk.... and trying to get the smell and feeling out was terrible... Luckily we were able to find a place to pull over to rest a bit and clean up... haha... so good we had spew bags with us... Out of all the commotion, Lealiki wakes up as she had fallen asleep and says "are we up the mountain yet"... unfortunately we had to tell her no and headed back home. Hubby is there laughing away thinking it was quite funny.... hmmm.... I totally blame his driving for that... haha...

On another note, I got a surprise letter in the mail last week. It was from our old Real Estate we rented from and had trouble getting our bond back. When i first saw the letter i thought... ok what now??? But when i opened it up was a cheque for $300 saying it was for overpaid rent. Im thinking wow, really? that is great... lol... we so needed that at the moment

I did our tax return last week online. I was pretty happy with what the supposively refund would be as it was twice as more than the accountants have gave us the last 3 years when we got them to do it for us. I checked the bank accounts this morning and quite surprise to see that the refund has already came through... YAY... though im not sure if it also included my Education Tax refund i put in but will see tomorrow when the details show up on the account. I couldnt see it today. These extra funds have came in at the right time, we can pay extra on some of our debts and also go out to a nice dinner for our 8th Wedding Anniversary in a week and a half... hehehe.... We got a babysitter booked and now we just have to decide where we want to eat, either our favorite restaurant SSS BBQ Restaurant (where we havent eaten in ages), a restaurant that serves a good Seafood Platter or a restuarant we have not tried out at all... LOL...

Anyway, that is all for now... hehe... til next time, take care...

Well we finally got our new lounge and recliner delivered and we are definately getting alot of use out of it... lol... its so comfy to lie on and we can all finally sit together and watch tv. When they delivered it, it was all wrapped up in 3 layers of plastic and bubble wrap. I actually thought the people would unwrap it for me and put the lounge together but no, they just put it in the living room and went on there way. Are you suppose to ask them to do it for you? Anyway it took me about 45 mins to unwrap it. It was like a giant present being unwrapped and the kids had fun trying to help me getting it open, they definately had it wrapped up really good as im there tugging and pulling and cutting with a stanley knife trying to get it off... lol.. When i finally got the wrapping off i had to rearrange the living room again as i didnt realise how big the lounge was... hahaha... and i had no room to walk around. I was glad my mum and bro came down to visit that morning, they arrived after i finally got the plastic off the lounge and i got them to help me move the old small lounge down to the garage and my bro helped me moved the dvd cabinets and snake cage. Yes i was careful not to strain my belly too much with the lifting and moving... The living room looks pretty good now and there is room to move about... haha...

Pregnancy has been good, just got worried a week ago when i got a call from the Antenatal clinic regarding a routine blood test i had to do. The lady told me my result was a high 9 and had to get tested again which i had no idea meant but thanks to the wonderful MInti ladies answering my question i have an idea now what it means. Have been reading alot on what i can find about gestational diabetes. Hopefully i dont have it but will have to wait and see how my results go as i did the 2nd test last Saturday morning. Mine you i didnt think the glucose drink i had was as good as the first one i had... lol... and i was having trouble trying to drink it especially when your first up in a very cold cold room freezing.... hahaha.... the clinic opened at 8am and you can really feel the cold in there without the heater on. It took at least an hour for the building to warm up so i was sitting there with a blanket they gave me while i waited.... hahaha...

I had my School Reunion on that weekend as well. My plan was to actually go up to Nambucca on the Friday night so Sat morning i could help out decorate and finalise anything as i was one of the organisers but because i had to do the blood test on the Saturday i never got there til in the afternoon. Luckily everything was undercontrol so they didnt need my help. When i got to Nambucca i only had 1 1/2 to change and hubby and i headed to the club.

It was a very good night, I couldnt believe how quick time went by. When we got there we mingled a bit and then had a powerpoint presentation showing old school pics. I was shocked to be called up in front of everyone to receive a thank you gift for helping out... LOL... not what i expected as im pretty quiet and shy... hahaha... and when my friend asked if i wanted to say a speech or something, the first thing that came out of my mouth was "I dont think so... LOL" I just couldnt wait to sit back down... hahaha...

There was a confusion with the dinner as some people paid and some didnt so we had to collect money and then let the restaurant know how many for the smorgasbord. We didnt have dinner til 9pm!!! People were just socialising so much but in the end we got dinner sorted and they brought out the food though some of us were not impress with some people who didnt pay and started eating and people who did that were in another room and didnt realise the food was out, missed out on the entree and we had to find a plate for them... gggrrr... oh well...

Im not sure what time people left but i left early at about 10pm as i was just so tired, especially having my blood taken in the morning and then travelling down... but overall we had a good night... but i am also a bit annoyed that i did leave early a bit as some people started taking photos and i wasnt there and wondered where i went to... lol... oh well i was in some photos earlier in the evening when a photographer friend was there and took some pics and also the local newspaper...

Anyway, my next major event i hope to plan soon is to renew our vows...

Well all is good here. We have school holidays for the next 2 weeks. Though Lealiki is at preschool today so its just me and Keandre. He is happy that it is actually peaceful without her around... LOL... that is she is not there to annoy him... haha...

My pregnancy is good. Im about 24/25 weeks now... Im starting to lose track how far i am... LOL... but i know i am definately getting bigger in the belly. The baby has been kicking and i swear punching as well at the same time. I dont recall Keandre or Lealiki doing that, they were just kickers... lol.. I cant wait til my baby comes out, its getting me all excited to have a new little one around especially when hearing and seeing pics on fb of Nat (natelz1) and Amanda (mumof2b) with there little girls finally arriving Congratulations again girls by the way

On the weekend we finally decided to by a new bigger lounge and a recliner chair. So i have rearrange the lounge room and we will be getting the chairs delivered tomorrow... YAY something comfy to sit on at last... We will probably donate the old 2 seater lounge we have at the moment to St. Vincent, hopefully they dont mind the drawing pen marks on the back which we only noticed a few weeks ago as Lealiki decided to get creative... lol...

In 2 weeks time i'll be attending my school reunion that i am helping organise. It has been a big job trying to locate people and notify them of the reunion which i manage to find about 80% of people we went to school with though 60% will be attending so it will be good to catch up with everyone. This reunion is not going to consist of one school but 3 which was a bit confusing to put down on paper to publish in the local paper a few weeks ago. You see its for our grade who started Kindy in 1984 in one school but when we reach Yr.5 1989 a new school was built because the old school was getting small. So half of us went to the new school while the other stayed in the old school. Then in 1991 when we all started Yr.7 we were all back together again at the high school but then the high school was getting crowded again so they built a new high school and in Yr.8 1992 we moved to the new High School. Though a majority of us all went to the New High School cause it was in our town as the old High School was in another town where we had to travel too which was 15 mins drive away. It was good to get our own High School in our town and didnt have to travel so far to the other town anymore. Though alot of kids left after Yr.10 1994 and those that were left completed Yr.12 in 1996. Hopefully that didnt sound confusing to yous... LOL... So majority of us havent really seen each other since Yr.10.

Anyway i better get back to scanning some old school photos which are needed for a powerpoint presentation a friend is putting together for the reunion.

Enjoy your week everyone and take care...

This year we decided to have our son's party at Jumbos playcentre in Port macquarie. We have been there a few times and the kids enjoy playing there while we sit back and watch in the large cafe area. Since they had party packages we thought we would try them out as it will be fuss and mess free for us.

On Friday I made Keandre's birthday cake. I decided to make a chocolate buttercake which seemed simple to make, though i didnt realise that by tripling the recipe i would need a very big bowl! With only 2/3 of the recipe filling up my biggest mixing bowl i had, I had to find another alternative to put the cake mix in... lol... luckily it occurred to me to use a saucepan Here are the photos of the final cake i made... in the end the cake did turn out really good and tasted good too... especially heating it up in the microwave a day later to eat made it taste really soft, warm and like a pudding kind of... lol...

Here is a pic of the final cake:

Here is Lealiki licking the last bit of the chocolate mix from the saucepan... hehe...

On Saturday 6th June 2009 we had the party. When we booked in for the party a month before, the staff member was very helpful to show us around to the private party area upstairs which looked great with the different rooms and themes they had. The package included payment for 8 children, food, drinks, 3 games, hostess, party bags and invitations. Which we thought at first was worth the it. Though the dissappointment came on the day. I understand they were busy with other parties but some staff could of been nicer and smile and made us feel welcome. Payment of the party could of been explained better as the 8 kids also included the birthday child which i thought was free. I wasnt also very happy that i had to pay full amount for extra guests that included 2 under 3 year old girls (one my daughter and the other a sibling to 2 children) and didnt really participate in games. I had to pay extra guest price of $20.90 because i wanted them upstairs as well just to watch what was happening with the boys and that is where the food was being eaten. Otherwise they werent allowed up in the private room. I couldnt leave them downstairs foodless if all the adults were upstairs wanting to see what was happening and thats where the food was. Food was prepared on separate plates for each child. Though the 1 1/2 year old did not eat her plate which i expected as it was too much and rather pick at the lollies and chips. The adults had a sandwhich platter which i would say was delicious. I thought the room we had was going to have privacy but not really, i should of had a better look when i first inspected it. It was only divided. The loud music from the fairy party over the dividing wall overcame our party and we couldnt even hear our music. Though the kids werent bothered by it as they were eating and chatting away loudly so they can hear each other over the music from next door. I didnt think the kids had much time to eat as they seemed rushed so the hostess can quickly fit in a game or two before cutting the cake. Again rushed to eat the cake the kids had one more game to play. I had one child start crying cause he was slow in finishing his cake and everyone was being usshered out as the 45mins was up to use the private room. Luckily we were allowed to stay as long as we liked on the reserved table downstairs.

I guess the best bit of the whole party for the kids was just playing on the playground. I guess that would of been a cheaper alternative of just paying each child entry and bought the food from the cafe which i know everyone can sit down and eat without being rushed, than having the private room and a hostess. Honestly by trying to save money on having this party here, i would of rathered spend the bit extra money of doing it at home like i did last year which was much better, even though i would of had a mess to clean up afterwards.

Deep down today, i hide my sadness, as today marks 2 years since i miscarried. I still feel and see the memories of this day as if it occurred yesterday. I often wondered what he/she would of been like if they were given a chance to live, what our life would of been like but I know that is just a distant dream and that it was never meant to be. I will never forget you my little baby that wasnt meant to be

On a lighter note, this is also a day of happiness... I had my 2nd ultrasound today. All is well with baby and he is growing up perfectly... yes i said a "He" We asked the sonographer if she can tell us the sex of the baby and she had a look for us. She said its "definately leaning towards the blue side" but as a warning she tells us its only a maybe... either way we have an idea and i am certain it is a boy. Im proving my husband that my old wives tales theory is right. They say if the guy eats alot of spicy foods while you try to conceive you get a boy and if he eats sweet foods and cut out spice, you get a girl... when we had Keandre all he ate was spicy foods so we got a boy... I wanted to prove my theory and with Lealiki i made him cut out all his favorite spicy foods and made him eat sweets... lol... and we got a girl... now this pregnancy i made him eat spicy foods and seems we are going to get a boy... lol... but we will see when baby comes out in a few months Either way, we dont mind if we get a boy or a girl, as long as baby is healthy we are happy...

I also plan to pipe some "waves" around the bottom so it looks like its on the ocean... hehehe... I just hope the playcentre has a big enough fridge to store the cake before we bring it out to get cut on Saturday at the party....

I cant believe my lil man is now 7 years old! Wow, 7 years ago i gave birth to him, oh how time has gone by so quick

We are going to have a birthday party for him this weekend at Jumbos Playcentre which would be good as i wont have to worry too much of organising games, food and cleaning up... lol... all i need to do is provide a cake and in a way it actually works out cheaper than the party i gave him at home last year... hehehe...

This year the theme for his party is again "Pirates" as thats the only kind of boys theme they have there which he was interested in. Im planning to make him a pirate ship cake from scratch (wish me luck...lol) hopefully it turns out how i can picture it in my head... hahaha...

Today i plan on making a small pirate cake to practice decorating on using a premade cake i bought at Woolies. Hopefully hubby will clean the oven by Friday as thats when i want to start baking. I would do it myself but being pregnant i do not want to bend down scrubbing and sniffing chemicals... We have not used the oven since we have moved in here because as usual the oven is very greasy and not cleaned at all. Every house we have moved into they do not clean the oven or at least properly which i dont understand cause on out going reports they are very strict on how clean they want it. Its too late to complain for the realestate to clean it for us as we have been here for a month now and i doubt they would do anything.

Oh and on monday i treated myself to a haircut at the hairdressers... LOL... it has been 2 years since i last went to a hairdresser and got it cut I was very happy as it was the first hairdresser that actually got the cut right and was not expensive at all with adding any extras like a wash etc... Got my hair cut to shoulder length with a bit of layers around... nothing too fancy... haha... though it would of looked much better if i got a color in it too and some highlights which i will wait til after the baby is born. As being pregnant and reading different stories on dying your hair while pregnant, i dont want to risk anything... this haircut was actually paid for by my mother inlaw in Holland as a birthday present. She actually paid for my last haircut 2 years ago too... hehehe... i guess for Christmas i will ask her if she can pay for my hair to get coloured... lol... she is just the sweetest mother inlaw anyone can ask for

Anyway i will start on decorating the cake Enjoy your week everyone...

Was woken up this morning with Breakfast in Bed at 6.45am... hahaha... was actually wanting a little sleepin... oh well... Now im just waiting for hubby and Lealiki at the moment, they ducked out at 8am to get me a surprise, then he calls at 8.30am, the shop he planned on going to is still closed so he will be another 1/2 hour. Oh i wonder what it is...

We dont really have anything planned today, actually we did but because of all this wet weather we have to postpone it to another weekend which i dont mind. We were going to go on a family picnic to Harrington. We keep seeing an advertisement on tv advertising the place and we thought it looked like a very nice beachside town to have a picnic and visit as we never been there before.

When hubby and Liki comes back we probably go for a little drive and check out the waves at the beach and how much foam there is. We heard there was heaps of foam on the beach so we might take the kids down if it isnt pouring down rain and let them play a bit. Would be like one big bubble bath for them... LOL...

Enjoy your weekend everyone...

Wonderful - by Jonathan Clay
Here we are again
It's been so long
Since I've seen your face
Look back into your eyes
There's no more need to cry
Tonight I'll be your saving grace
So give me your hands
And we can make plans

Thanks to you, thanks to you, thanks to you

And we've got something real

Its something that we feel

And they don't seem to understand

But I don't really care

Cause when I've got you there

I feel like I'm a better man

So give me your hands

And right now is wonderful

Thanks to you, thanks to you, thanks to you

I want you more and more each time that you're around

And you've got me feeling like

I'm 10 feet off the ground

And the world is wonderful

Why it lifts me up...

Its a song i came across on Myspace Music, around the time Sander and I decided to get back together. I was still unsure what the future will hold between us and if he was for real this time. And when i ran into this song, i was kind of drawn to it as it kind of remind me of our situation. But the more i listened to it the more i became happy and had positive feelings that all is for real and that it will be fine, no matter what other people think, especially with how he was towards me before... and now when i hear it i always think of us, our growing family and growing old together like how we dreamed of

My ultrasound went well, baby is good and healthy The doctor estimated the baby is about 15 weeks 4 days so im pretty much in the 16 week mark like i thought. The baby should be born around 30 October. Hopefully he/she will come out around then, Im actually hoping on the 3rd November... LOL... because then all the kids birthdays are on the 3rd day of the month Keandre is on 3rd June while Lealiki is on 3rd September so with this baby born on the 3rd November would be great But i guess we will see when he/she is ready... It was quite funny seeing the baby moving its jaws, I've never saw anything like that before... must be hungry...

After the ultrasound we finally got a chance to go out to lunch which we have always planned out on Sander's RDO but never got a chance yet. It was very nice to eat in a cafe, taking your time and without having the kids running around or asking so many questions like "when is the food coming", "im hungry", "i want to go over there"... LOL... We are looking forward to doing again every 2 weeks when Sander has his RDO. We plan on trying a different place to eat everytime. Our nice relaxing "us time" together without the kids

We then went and booked the Jumbos Playcentre for Keandre's 7th Birthday party coming up in a few weeks. We have booked him a "pirate theme" party so hopefully he doesnt mind having another pirate party. One thing for sure i know this party is going to cost half as much as the do-it-yourself one i gave him last year and i wont have to worry about the stress and mess.... hahaha....

Anyway our peaceful "us time" is over. Sander has just gone to a skin cancer checkup, which i am due to have too after the baby is born. Im just filling in time before i have to and pick up the kids in school... I know the first thing i will hear while driving in the car home "I GOT THE COMPUTER FIRST!!!" LOL...
