Well, I finally have to time to sit down and write a bit of a blog. There have been some major changes in my family and they are for the good but as the title of my blog states....OMG I can't believe it!!!!

Firstly, Kaitlin has started walking and she started it about 4 weeks ago with a few steps here and there but she is now starting to walk 6 or 7 steps at a time but it's slow so when she's in a hurry crawling is still the go (thankfuly). I didn't think she would be starting to walk so soon, my eldest was 12 months when she started walking and I was secretly hoping Kaitlin would be around the same time (no luck)

Secondly, Kaitlin now has four teeth but I discovered another one has just poked it's head through.

Thirdly, Haylee has lost two teeth and the tooth fairy has visited twice now. That in it's self was exciting because it really made it hit home that my eldest baby is really and truely growing up. However, her adult teeth are coming through crooked but I'm hoping they will straighten themselves out but only time will tell.

Fourthly, my brother and his fiance announced that they are having a baby...this is fantastic news because I always thought that he was be a fantastic father.......keep reading it only gets better and here comes the OMG moment.

Fifth and finally.......my future sister-in-law had a dating ultra sound (she is 3 mths and due on 3 April)....now here is the OMG moment.............THEY ARE HAVING TWINS!!!!!!! Instant family and the bonus is she only has to go through the pregnancy and labour once to get two......but in saying that I'm not envious.

So that has been whats happended since I lost blogged, I hope that will be it for the rest of the year....I can't stand anymore OMG moments this year.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who dropped by to say hello in my lounge. I haven't been around much as Kaitlin is on her little toes constantly and I've been getting out a lot more. I've also been getting back into my cross-stitch to keep my hands busy (so I don't eat), I've been finding that sitting in front of the computer I just eat and eat and eat hence, it doesn't help my weight loss effort.

Kaitlin's now 9 months old and has four teeth, she is walking along the furniture and has been doing that for about a month now. I was right to give her the nickname of "monster" because she always has this cheeky look in her eyes, I have to keep a close eye on her because the second I look away, she's into something she shouldn't be.

Haylee is starting the first process of getting her adult teeth. At last count she has four wobbly teeth, my baby is growing up. She turns six this year and we are getting her birthday party organised, of course she wants to invite the whole class (lucky there is only 20 in the class).

My brother turned 40 on Saturday so there was another party and birthday cake for me to devour....yeah! I have an 18th party in a couple of weeks for my best friends nephew (yet again more birthday cake for me). Not to mention the wedding on Friday.....I hate to say it but I can't wait for August to be over.

Hope everyone is well and take care,

A lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars, and then insured them against, among other things, fire.

Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company.
In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost "in a series of small fires."
The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason, that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion.

The lawyer sued... and WON!
(Stay with me.)

Delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous.
The judge stated nevertheless, that the lawyer held a policy from the company, which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them against fire, without defining what is considered to be unacceptable “fire” and was obligated to pay the claim!

Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his loss of the cigars lost in the "fires".

NOW, FOR THE BEST PART...

After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON!!!
With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000 fine.

This is a true story and was the First Place winner in the recent Criminal Lawyers Award Contest!

ONLY IN AMERICA.

On Sunday I noticed two white dots on her bottom gums and then yesterday they were to little rectangles and today she decided she wanted to chew on my chin and ouch!!! I had a look and a feel and they have cut the gums so now my little gummy baby is going to be a chomper.

Teething obviously doesn't bother her because she's been her usual happy self, she wimpers sometimes in her sleep but thats probably the only thing she does. Haylee was always unsettled and in the end we used to rock her to sleep but not my dear little Kaitlin.

Can you tell I'm excited? My little girl is growing so fast.......I want my little newborn back.

My husband got an SMS from his father yesterday afternoon (who lives in WA) asking if we were home and that him and his other half were in the area . Now my FIL has never mentioned his woman to my husband, he relied on my husbands younger sister to tell us. So I was surprised when my husband said that we weren't home and that me may be home by 5pm as he has always made time for his father. Of course his father didn't want to wait so he said that he'd catch up with him another day. My FIL has been in Sydney for two weeks and only now did he want to visit his son and grand daughters. He has only seen Haylee twice and doesn't even remember Kaitlin's name. I won't get into it because it's a long story.

Today Haylee and I were to spend the day together, just the two of us before she went back to school, Kaitlin was going to be at my parents however they unfortunately had to go to a funeral today. I feel a little guilty about it because I had told Haylee she would have me all to herself today but when I explained why that won't happen, she said that she understood and that we'll do it next holidays. She's only 5 but she acts like she's heaps older.

My girls (especially Haylee) always amaze me. Have a great day everyone.

My son came home from school one day,

With a smirk upon his face.

He decided he was smart enough,

to put me in my place.

'Guess what I learned in Civics Two,

that's taught by Mr. Wright?

It's all about the laws today,

The 'Children's Bill of Rights.'

It says I need not clean my room,

don't have to cut my hair

No one can tell me what to think,

or speak, or what to wear.

I have freedom from religion,

and regardless what you say,

I don't have to bow my head,

and I sure don't have to pray.

I can wear earrings if I want,

and pierce my tongue & nose.

I can read & watch just what I like,

get tattoos from head to toe.

And if you ever spank me,

I'll charge you with a crime.

I'll back up all my charges,

with the marks on my behind.

Don't you ever touch me,

my body's only for my use,

not for your hugs and kisses,

that's just more child abuse.

Don't preach about your morals,

like your Mama did to you.

That's nothing more than mind control,

And it's illegal too!

Mom, I have these children's rights,

so you can't influence me,

or I'll call Children's Services Division,

better known

as 'C.S.D.'

Mom's Reply and Thoughts

Of course my first instinct was

to toss him out the door.

But the chance to teach him a lesson

made me think a little more.

I mulled it over carefully,

I couldn't let this go.

A smile crept upon my face,

he's messing with a pro.

Next day I took him shopping

at the local Goodwill Store..

I told him, 'Pick out all you want,

there's shirts & pants galore.

I've called and checked with C.S.D .

who said they didn't care

if I bought you K-Mart shoes

instead of Nike Airs.

I've canceled that appointment

to take your driver's test.

The C.S.D. is unconcerned

so I'll decide what's best.'

I said 'No time to stop and eat,

or pick up stuff to munch.

And tomorrow you can start to learn

to make your own sack lunch.

Just save the raging appetite,

and wait till dinner time.

We're having liver and onions,

a favorite dish of mine.'

He asked 'Can I please rent a movie,

to watch on my VCR?'

'Sorry, but I sold your TV,

for new tires on my car.

I also rented out your room,

you'll take the couch instead.

The C.S.D. requires

just a roof over your head.

Your clothing won't be trendy now,

I'll choose what we eat.

That allowance that you used to get,

will buy me something neat.

I'm selling off your jet ski,

dirt-bike & roller blades.

Check out the 'Parents Bill of Rights',

It's in effect today!

Hey hot shot, are you crying,

Why are you on your knees?

Are you asking God to help you out,

instead of C.S.D..?'

Send to all people that have teenagers or have already raised teenagers,

or have children who will soon be teenagers or those who will be parents someday

OR ANYONE WHO'D JUST GET A LAUGH. I love this One!!!

from a MOM

(Mean Old Mother.)

It's been a while since I've done a blog and I thought that I would update everyone on my little monster Kaitlin and her bunny rug issue (I posted a question awhile ago about bunny rugs).

Well after having her sleep during the day unwrapped (swaddled) she has now slept every night last week unwrapped. I'm so happy as it means that she doesn't wake herself now during the night.

I'm starting to see a little cheeky personality coming out and it's no wonder that I started calling her monster from a week of age, I must have known.

Now that Kaitlin has mastered the sleeping without being wrapped, I just have to work out how to get her to sleep when we go out. At the moment, she'll nap for about 30 mins when we're out but when we're home and she's in her cot, she'll sleep for about an hour and a half to two hours.

Haylee has been on holidays for a week now and the wet weather is starting to wear a little thin. We've been over to visit my parents just about every day as their place is bigger and there's more room for Haylee to play. Also, they were complaining that the haven't seen enough of Kaitlin.

I can hear my little moster talking now so it must mean that she's finished her nap.

Have a great day everyone.

Long term, team players needed, for challenging,
permanent work in an
often chaotic environment.
Candidates must possess excellent communication
and organizational skills and be willing to work
variable hours, which will include evenings and weekends
and frequent 24 hour shifts on call.
Some overnight travel required, including trips to
primitive camping sites on rainy weekends and endless sports tournaments in far away cities!
Travel expenses not reimbursed.
Extensive courier duties also required.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:
The rest of your life.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
Must be willing to be hated, at least temporarily,
until someone needs $5.
Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly.
Also, must possess the physical stamina of a
pack mule
and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat
in case, this time, the screams from
the backyard are not someone just crying wolf.
Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges,
such as small gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets
and stuck zippers.
Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and
coordinate production of multiple homework projects.
Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings
for clients of all ages and mental outlooks.
Must be willing to be indispensable one minute,
an embarrassment the next.
Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a
half million cheap, plastic toys, and battery operated devices.
Must always hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.
Must assume final, complete accountability for
the quality of the end product.
Responsibilities also include floor maintenance and
janitorial work throughout the facility.

POSSIBILITY FOR ADVANCEMENT & PROMOTION:

None.
Your job is to remain in the same position for years, without complaining, constantly retraining and updating your skills,
so that those in your charge can ultimately surpass you

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE :

None required unfortunately.
On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis.

WAGES AND COMPENSATION :

Get this! You pay them!
Offering frequent raises and bonuses.
A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because
of the assumption that college will help them
become financially independent.
When you die, you give them whatever is left.
The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that
you actually enjoy it and wish you could only do more.

BENEFITS :

While no health or dental insurance, no pension,
no tuition reimbursement, no paid holidays and
no stock options are offered;
this job supplies limitless opportunities for personal growth, unconditional love,
and free hugs and kisses for life if you play your cards right.

I have my Weight Watchers meeting tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to if for the first time since I started. With all the nibbles etc that I ate over the weekend I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to lose anything, oh well these things happen. I've just got to deal with whatever the result is and move on.

Kaitlin is certainly loving her solids at the moment, she's even started drinking a full bottle. Her cradle cap has been getting better, it really looks like she's got some bad dandrif happening. I think I'm hearing noises out of her room, she must have decided it's time to wake to see daddy.

Hope everyone had a good day and that you have a good evening, mine will be certainly quiet now.

Good afternoon all,

Well, it is the first day of the school holidays and I'm tired already. We've had a busy few days.

Saturday we went to visit some friends for dinner. I really like her but I can't stand him, he brags about everything and that really bothers me. He is also a**l, when he cooks he times everything. For instance, he will put my steak on first, then hubby's and his wifes and he will then tell his wife to put the peas on for 2 mins and then he'll put his steak on for a minute and then turn it over for the other minute. I know it sounds petty but it bugs the s**t out of me. Haylee had a great time playing with their daughter and I'm glad that she did. Hubby drank too much and that annoys the c**p out of me because then I get no help when we get home and that I had to drive home. So he didn't get much sympathy out of me yesterday, in fact I was louder than usual.

Sunday we had a BBQ at my parents house. We spent all day there and Hsylee really enjoyed herself.

Today, I visited my work and realised that I don't miss it at all. My boss thought I was coming in to discuss when I was coming back to work, I'm not due back from maternity leave until next year and to say she was disappointed was an understatement. There has been so many changed in the time I've been away that I don't think I'll like to go back but I'm not going to worry about it at the moment.

Haylee and I have just been playing Nintendo Wii and I am absolutely drained, it really gets you moving. I need an afternoon nap now however Kaitlin has decided she's had enough sleep and it's time to play so no rest for me. Whoever said a mothers life is easy obviously isn't a mother.

I think I'll take Haylee to the movies tomorrow to see Horton Hears A Who, has anyone seen it?

Kaitlin is calling so must go.

Have a good afternoon.
