neets's Minti Blog http://www.minti.com/members/neets/blog/ neets's Minti Blog Copyright 2009 Minti en-uk minti meet with winja neets I know I should have blogged this yesterday but I was to tired, I missed the Minti Melbourne meet on Thursday cos I had to play netball Thursday night and its about a 5 hour round trip for me to go to Melbourne. So I headed down on Friday and spent the weekend at Mum’s catching up with my sisters (Juzzy) ... I know I should have blogged this yesterday but I was to tired, I missed the Minti Melbourne meet on Thursday cos I had to play netball Thursday night and its about a 5 hour round trip for me to go to Melbourne.

So I headed down on Friday and spent the weekend at Mum’s catching up with my sisters (Juzzy) then on Sunday I meet winja (nat) in the city, I was so nerves I was physically sick… I need not worry we had a fantastic day we were meant to meet in the morning then Nat was going off to the aquarium with her kiddies, that didn’t happen we ended up spending the whole day together and took all the kids to the museum she was so nice and everything I expected.

On the way back to the car after our meet Aaron asked if we can start saving to make the trip to Tas to visit her, Chloe & Tobias, so I guess we are saving!!!

Chloe and Tobias were so cute and all the kids got along really well, Chloe is such a good big sister egging her little brother on to go down the slide then praising him when he got to the bottom.

It was sad when the day ended and we all went our separate ways but it is a day I will remember forever.

If it wasn’t for Minti I would have never meet such an awesome friend!!!

after the boys had brekky they had some friends come over to play the play station, I was standing in the kitchen and was listening to them playing whan one of the girls said to Aaron "your mum is so cool!, my mum never lets me have friends over" to which Aaron replied " yep I'm lucky I have the best mum"

Awww so proud I called Aaron into the kitchen to thank him but he wanted me to come to him, I wraped him in my arms and told him I love him!!! now its not the done thing when your in highschool to hug your mum but he hugged me back, gave me a kiss and said " I Love you soooo much"

what else can I say? I must have done something right!!!

today he is home again and I cant wait to see what today brings, PLUS I have Juzzy and the kids coming up from Melbourne to stay for a few days and I cant wait hence being up at 5:30am, I cant sleep to excited!!!

I also found out today that when the year 7's started school this week they didnt run them through the fire plan there going to get a not so nice phone call from me on Wednesday, Aaron has no idea where to go if a fire starts in the school of if the bush fire reaches the school :(

Please pray that this ends soon and we dont loose any more lives...

I not very fond of my health centre sister but being in a small town I dont have the choice to change she is very quick to call DHS on you? ... I took Katelyn to the health centre last week for her 8 month check it was a little late but with xmas and new years the health centre was closed.

I not very fond of my health centre sister but being in a small town I dont have the choice to change she is very quick to call DHS on you? when Katelyn was 1 month old she told me that if I didnt stop breast feeding she would call them because by her books Katelyn wasnt putting on enough weight. I told her that I wouldnt stop and I invite her to call them.

then on the next visit I told her that I was thinking of starting Katelyn on solids as I started her brother at 3 months as well, she told me that if i did start her before 4 months she would call DHS again. I started Katelyn on solids and just didnt tell her.

now last week she asked me what sort of food I was feeding Katelyn and my reply was "she eats everything we eat" and she really likes silverside, cheese and pickle sandwiches. and once again she said if I continue to feed her silverside she would call DHS???? I asked whats wrong with silverside and she said "nothing, but I cant see how silverside, cheese and pickles goes together? I would never eat them together"

so its all about her now!!!

I do want to see the health centre just to get Katelyns weights and see that she is developing well but I just cant stand this woman.

will finish my vent here and go and feed Katelyn some sort of food that she shouldnt have!!!

school hoildays are going well we just got back from 3 days in Melbourne spending time with Mum and I got to spend some time with my sisters, Juzzy came over to Mums house for a roast dinner then stayed till midnight it was so nice to spend time with her by ourselfs my kiddies were sleeping and hers were at home with Daddy, I so have the best sister in the world.

so now I must go and start packing FUN FUN FUN...

So far the holidays ahve been really busy and I dont see it slowing down, Aaron went to his Dad's 3 weekends in a row then had a friend sleep over, now we have my dad staying with us for 2 weeks its great only my house is the size of a shoe box and dad has been down with a bug for 5 days so we couldnt do anything he is all better now but is going home on Tuesday, Aaron stayed at his mates place last night and on Tuesday we are going to take Dad home to Melbourne and stay at mums for 2 nights, when we get back we will have to start packing up the house, we have put in for a house in the next town which is closer to by big sister and the only family I have up here ( all the rest are in Melbourne) so hope we get it. The house  is 3 bedrooms on a large block with a creek running at the end of the block so Aaron can go fishing!

not much else happening at the moment, so I will leave it here and clean the shoebox, only I think I need to shut the computer down to do it I keep stopping to see whats happening on Minti....... ok going now......... NOW

Breastfeeding mothers have launched an online protest against Facebook after images of them suckling their babies were removed from their profiles without warning.

More than 80,000 people have joined the Facebook petition group "Hey Facebook, Breast-feeding is not Obscene" after hundreds of women were warned they could be barred from the site if photos showed too much of the mother's breast, The Times has reported.

One mother, Heather Farley, of Utah, became one of the protest organisers after two photos of her nursing her six-month-old daughter were removed.

"Where I live, I can breast-feed in public or private, and there are laws that say it's not obscene or lewd or indecent. If I can do it in public, why can't I do it on Facebook?" she said.

A Facebook spokesperson claimed that some photos were indecent and had to be removed to "ensure the site remains safe and secure for all users".

"Photos containing a fully exposed breast — as defined by showing the nipple or areola — do violate those terms on obscene, pornographic or sexually explicit material and may be removed," Barry Schnitt was quoted as saying in a statement.

But Mr Schnitt also said most breast-feeding follow the site's terms of use and the photos removed were mostly photos other users had complained about.

To top it off the ... To top it off the washing machine over flowed so the bathroom, toilet and kitchen were full of water after I cleaned that Aaron informed me he has forgotten the password on his laptop and cant do anything with it. it is ment to be his laptop for high school next year.

I still havent done the dishes from tea and the house looks like a bomb has hit it. top all that off with Katelyn teething...

enough of a vent.

we are going shopping tomorrow so at least we can get out of the house, Aaron got some money for Christmas that he wants to spend . then in the afternoon I think we may go for a walk a bit of fresh air will do us all some good.

Katelyn came home in at about 6:30 all tuckered out but in a good mood, she was so tired she was asleep within 30 minutes of getting home.

today is a beautiful day about 30deg so we are going for a big walk.

when we got home Aaron had bad hayfever so I gave him some meds and he went to sleep for 3 hours now we are going to play monolopy!!

now the weekend is over we have christmas with the rest of the family at the farm in 2 weeks, cant wait it is always so much fun on the farm the kids love it cos they can run a muck and not get in any trouble although I'm sure they could find trouble if they wanted to.

not looking foward tp next week tho Katelyn's dad is taking her to his christmas party with his family in inverloch about 1 hour away, she has never been that far from me before but I know I have to let her go some day.

Well I had a crap start to the day on Thursday and it ended very well, as everyone that read my blog said that he would realize what he had done and probably apologize when he got home from school.

Well I picked him up from basketball training after school and he ran up to me through him arms around my neck (yes he reaches my neck) and said “I love you Mum, and I am so sorry about this morning” I wanted to cry there and then I’m so proud of him.

The rest of the night was great he played with his sister while I finished cooking, we ate then we played uno he kicked my butt (nothing unusual) he even went for a shower the first time I asked?

So all in all it was a great end to a crap day!

I LOVE my big baby boy so much.

I feel like the worst mother in history today, I sent Aaron to school is such a bad mood because we had a fight this morning, he was being so rude and I had, had enough first I had a crap night sleep between Katelyn teething and me feeling crap with the flu I really couldn’t be bothered with Aaron’s crap. He wanted to eat his breakfast in his bedroom? Then didn’t want to brush his teeth I asked him to put his bowl on the sink and he told me to do it myself!

My biggest problem in the morning is getting him out of bed and that needs to change I cant get him out before 8am at the moment and next year he has to be at the bus stop for a bus at 7:30 am big difference, if he misses the bus that will mean that I will have to drive him into town for school, and if I’m working that wont be possible.

I hate sending him out when we have had a fight because then we both have a bad day, and he has been really good this week not one fight and his been to his dads 3 weekends in a row! (That’s when we have the problems).

Any how I hope tonight is better, he has basket ball training after school so hopefully he can take his anger out on the court..

I have never left her for more than 2 hours, and never with her dad I know it sounds bad but he is a drinker and I cant trust him driving with her in the car in case he has had a drink, he told me he wouldnt drink and drive with her but I dont trust him at all, on the other hand he is her dad and loves and wants to spend time with her I just wish he would only do it at my house he is welcome it come here at any time ( as long as he's not drinking).

its been 3 & 1/2 hours now and I wish they would come home...
