TO GO OVER WHAT MY FAMILY HAS BEEN THROUGH AND THEN TYPE IT OUT, WAS VERY EMOTIONAL, BUT I DID IT. NOW THAT I HAVE DONE IT MAYBE IT WILL BE EASIER NEXT TIME. NOT BLOWING MY OWN TRUMPET, JUST PROUD OF MYSELF.

Hello, again. Sorry i got distracted (by Jesse, of course) and didnt finish my Aussie Day blog. That was a good start to my return to Minti, huh? lol Anyway, today it has been two months since my son Jesse had a bone marrow transplant (using cord blood instead of bone marrow). Although he has had his fair share of setbacks he is doing amazingly well. His new cells are engrafting nicely and their is no sign of leukemia cells at all. He just got out of hospital last friday after being in for two weeks. Two and a bit weeks ago I took Jesse into emergency because he couldnt wee properly. 5 days later he was in Intensive Care Unit on a ventilator, with idio-pathic pneumonia. So now he is on steroids (prednisone for two or three months) and his mood swings are unbelievable. Plus he is eating SOOOOO much. But we ARE out of hospital now (for the time being) and thats fantastic. We stay in a unit on the hospital campus, because we live over an hour away from the hospital. Its just in case anything goes wrong and he needs to get to the hospital quickly. Of course i was upset about not going home to my family, but being near the hospital puts my mind at ease too. Unfortunately Jesse cant start school until term two, as he cant interact with large groups of people. He is immuno-suppressed and can pick up germs that wouldnt otherwise phase him. WOW, this has to be my longest blog yet, No high expectations Okay??!! lol Have a fantabulous day everyone and thanks for all support and comments, Missie xo

Jesse had his transplant today and has been quite well afterwards, except for being tired. He had a sleep for a few hours then he was up playing playstation and complaining that he is bored. It was so good to see. But the next few weeks will be the hardest, while the new cells try to take over Jesses cells.

Well I will try to blog tomorrow. I had great intentions of making a decent entry tonight, but alas; to no avail....

See yas round like a Cheezel

Hello to all who happen to be taking a squiz at the new girls' blog!!

Hello to all who happen to be taking a squiz at the new girls' blog!!

I am a 31 year old single mum from Qld, Australia. I have a 14 year old son Dylan, A very nearly 13 year old son Jacob, and a 5 year old son Jesse.

DYLAN is a fantabulous son. He is so caring, and loveable.... and then he remembers that he is a teenager, and he shouldn't be so nice to his Mum. Well, not in public anyway, hehe...He is a huge motorbike fanatic!

JACOB is just a sweety. He tries to help out where he can, and tries to get on with his brothers.... and then HE remembers that he is a teenager, and shouldn't be so nice to his brothers.....hehe. He love music and loves Elvis Presley.

AND THEN THERE IS JESSE!!.... Jesse was diagnosed with leukemia just over a year ago. He went into remission in December last year, then had three more rounds of follow up chemo. Unfortunately Jesse has relapsed in early September, and is now going through what is called conditioning, getting him prepared for a bone marrow transplant. Transplant day is this Thursday, and I am getting more than a little nervous. But I am an optimist, and I know we will get through this. In the past two years Jesse has also had meningococcal and meningitis, and we managed to get through all that. And Jess is the most optimistic person I know. He rarely complains even when he is in so much pain and so life-threateningly ill. I think we could all take a leaf out of my baby boys book!!!!

I miss my two older boys terribly, but soon enough we will all be back together as our wacky, happy family!!!

So everyone take care, take care of each other, and smile!!!
