My god I have been unorganised, tired and frazzled. At the moment Liam is averaging 2 and a half hours during the night between feeds. And Harry is getting his 2yr old molars so he is not sleeping well.

With all this going on and getting the 2 kids to and from school I haven't had much time to myself. When my 2 littlies are asleep I am either ding housework, eating lunch or catching my own forty winks.

But I think I am getting orgainsed and Liam is settling a bit better during the day which will allow me to re-energise.

Harry is just loving Liam. He dotes on all babies now he is sooo cute. Liam gets about one hundred kisses a day from him which I am sooo happy about as I was worried about him being jealous but he is just fantastic! He doesn't try and muscle in when I am feeding or demand attention. I play with harry when I have finished feeding so he understands about time sharing. He even helps when I have to change Liam and gets me the wipes and nappies, usually without even asking.

Anyway will try to keep up to date and put photos on soon.

Been flat out the last month, My little boy started school, he looks so cute I will try and post their photo tomorrow in their uniforms!

Only one at home now and he is loving the freedom to go and do whatever he wants without the other two smothering him. he is actually very peaceful and content by himself. We play alot together in the morning which means his midday sleep is very good.

Have to go now and finish the housework before he wakes up. Sorry for the laziness on Minti, hopefully the next time I am on I will have some great news!

Last day of work tomorrow and then I am home with the kids for a couple of weeks before they return to school. Dylan starts Prep this year so exciting. At least I get to spend two weeks with them at home before bubs comes along and they start school. I am taking them to the movies next week and Beth to a jewellery class.

I love warm days but bring me the cooler nights please.

Had my midwives appointment the other night and everything is going great. I must say this pregnancy has gone fast and with so little to go is going very well. I haven't had as many problems as my two previous and I am actually getting sleep.

Fingers crossed the last few weeks go well. Bubs is moving about sooo much I think she/he is ready to come out and play now!

Although I was awoken by our dog trying to scratch his way out of the gate thanks to all of the fireworks going off in the area. So I could have stayed up anyway. Hubby had to go and sit with him for 20 minutes whilst they were going off to keep him calm. Considering fireworks are illegal here there were still so many, someone made some trips up to Canberra.

Very quiet at work this morining everyone must be in bed with hangovers.

Have a great 2007, may you all stick to your resolutions. I know I will, my hubby is getting the snip and he isn't getting out of that one!!

Well my boss told me I wasn't successful with my promotion. He said my resume was .5 off from being the best. He said my board let me down on the day. I got a couple of questions wrong. I don't know who got it yet, but I have a fair idea, it will probably be the one a few of us consider to be the bosses 'golden child'. It's unfortunate these days that with our job it appears to be who you know not what you know. I spoke to this person after he sat his board and weboth got the same questions wrong so anyway that's the way it goes, you win some you lose some.

I know that my colleagues think it should be me that get's the promotion as they have more respect for me. But that's okay I will go for the next one which should be coming up winthin a couple of months.

I mentioned to the boss about his comments he said to me a couple of months ago, he said 'you had a chance until you got pregnant' he says he doesn't remember saying it and if he did it was a joke. I told him I could make it all very difficult right now if I wanted to but I am not that sort of person but just to keep in mind what he says to people as he could get himself into trouble. He appreciated it and apologised so that's cool.

Well life goes on and there is always next time.

Have to go and get a blood test today. My iron levels are apparently dangerously low. I have been on iron tablets for the last couple of weeks to boost it up so the test today is to see if it's worked. I have my midwives appointment next week when they will check the results and probably yell at me. I haven't been taking the tablets everyday. It's hard to remember to take them.. THe midwife said put them next to your bed so you see them in the morning. I get up at 5am some mornings to go to work so I don't even look at my side table. They said then have them at night with dinner, but if I am on arvo shift then I am not home until 10:30pm. There is no standard time I can take them. I have them in my bag and take them when I remember.

Hopefully the level has boosted a little bit, I have 6 weeks to go and will keep taking them. 2 weeks left of work can't wait to finish. I have 5 months off and then return to work and hubby will be Mr Mum.

Walking out of the shopping centre last night after doing some Xmas shopping my hubby and I were astounded by the blanket of smoke covering the area. The fires are happening over a hundred kilometres away in the mountains but they have been burning for weeks now. There doesn't seem to the light at the end of the tunnel for along time yet. We just can't believe how bad hte smoke is. Even during Ash Wednesday many years ago when I could see the smoke from my house where the actual fire was there was no smoke in our area.

The smoke is that bad on some days that we can't hang out our washing outside because they will just end up smelling like smoke. It looks like the fires are only around the corner not miles and miles away.

I had a work colleague complaining the other day about it and not being able to hang out her clothes. I had to remind her that if it is this bad here imagine what the poor families where the actual fires are going through so stop complaining about a bit of smoke, at least she has a home at the moment.

It's times like these that you realise how lucky you are and not take anything for granted.

I wish all the people who are in the thick of the fires the best of luck and my thoughts are with you. Please be safe.

I am also going for promotion at work and I have my board on Tuesday so I am trying to study for it. WIth work and then at home with the kids it is so hard to get time in to study. I find I am so tired latey with only 8 weeks to go before bubs arrives, when I get home from work at 2pm I am having a nana nap or the guys call it a couch kip (not so girly) and then I have to get the kids or cook dinner or get them ready for bed. Once that is all done I am sooo tired again that I can't focus on study.

Hubby is great with helping but still time is ridiculous.

I only have 4 weeks left at work before maternity leave. Hopefully i get the promotion as it will make life a lot easier with a pay rise esp. with new bubby coming along.

Anyway go to go and try to get some study in, hopefully in the coming week I will be able to post some great news!! Fingers Crossed.

Though I better jump on and let you all know that I am still alive. It's been a month since my last entry. I have been extremely bust, there is hardly a day free on my calander until the end of the year. There are meetings, concerts, parties, swimming lessons, midwives appointments etc... it never ends. Mix that in with work and housework and there aren't enough minutes in a day.

I have been so tired. 7 weeks left of work now, I am 29 weeks pregnant and counting. I am having back pain and just been told by the midwives that I am dangerously low in iron. The average is 11-16 for women and I am 9.8. So the strongest iron tablets the pharmacist cold find are what i have to take. The iron levels in pregnancy vitamins are between 5 and 60 and the ones I am taking are 325. The midwife said that if I didn't get the levels up and bled during the labour that it might not stop, so I think that's enough to say yes there is a problem. Hopefully the tablets boost it up in time. It apparently takes a while.

Anyway hope you all enjoy the week and I will try to get back on track here at Minti. I have misseed blogging and reading all the posts.

Bubs is really moving about, he/she is having a party in my tummy. I think bubs is going to be in gymnastics. It seems to be pretty constant with the moving and kicking. The movements are big enough now for hubby and kids to really feel them. I am 24 weeks, so past halfway. It seems to be flying.

Dylan had his first prep transition class yesterday at school, he loved it. He is so looking forward to going to school and asks all the time when does he go.

His speech therapy is going well, he goes every fortnight for a half hour session and enjoys it. We have to practise 'rabbit teeth' with him which helps with his 'f' sounds. My hubby takes him and says it's going well.

Hubby thinks he is finally bonding really well with Harry, which is really good, harry for a while there wouldn't sit still or cuddle up with him and he is starting to prefer sitting with dad instead of me. I don't know whether I should be happy or sad about that one. But whenever they are hurt or sick they seem to still prefer mum.

Just had to rush out and pull my clothes off the line. It's so typical of Melbourne. They say for queensland beautiful one day perfect the next, i think Melbourne is beautiful one day, lucky dip the next! They say we get four seasons in one day here and they are right. But it is usually when you hang out the clothes that the clouds change change from white to grey in ten minutes.

I had my midwives appointment the other day and she shoed me this wheel I think it was the BMI chart (body mass index) She put my height and weight in and pointed at it, it was in on the end end of overweight and nearing obese. She looked at me and I said "what you didn't think I realised that?, show me something I didn't know." I felt like saying to her you have 4 children in six years and keep the perfect figure. Some people arelucky and pop back into shape straight away and I'm not one of them. I know I'm overweight, I am 169cm tall and pre-pregnancy I weighed 87kgs. I am now 95kg (24 weeks pregnant), I walk as often as I am capable, I have lower back problems and if I am on my feet too long my right leg goes numb and both my ankles swell so I have to do it in moderation.

This baby is my last so after this one is born I am planning to get fit again, i need to for myself but also for work. I think if I was at work and had to chase someone they would stand there and laugh or run around me as I wouldn't have a hope. The fitness just isn't there. I am having six months off before returning to work so that's when my fitness plan will start. my hubby is one of the lucky ones that can eat whatever and walks to kitchen and burns it off, I hope our kids have his metabolism.

Off do get lunch for us all, salad sandwich for me!!

These bears are for the blue ribbon foundation. The Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation perpetuates the memory of members of the Victoria Police killed in the line of duty through the support of worthwhile community projects within Victoria. This is the 7th edition and the first two are hot items. The first edition went for around $3000 on ebay either last year or the year before, I was gobsmacked. They only cost $40 to buy but they are collectors items apparently, but I just think they are cute.
