Wow I can't believe how quickly the months have flown by and finally I am back to Minti. Thankyou to everyone who emailed and kept popping in on my page. Lots has been happening to my large family, firstly we had a stressful 7 weeks leading up to April as our owner decided to sell our house and wanted it vacated, so I looked high and low at lots of houses, but as time got closer we couldn' find one, so with 1 week to go, my brotherinlaw suggested we make the big move to the Blue Mountains NSW as his friend had a place we could stay in until we decided what we would do. Hubby was away working for 2 weeks, so the elder 3 kids and I did all the packing, amazing how much stuff you accumlate in a house after 6 years lol, I ended up saying ok we really have to throw unneccessary things away!! On Friday 11 April, our movers arrived loaded up our possessions into a huge truck and away it went for the 2 hour journey to our new home. We followed behind a few hours later, after cleaning the house till it shone lol. We stayed in our new place for 4 weeks, it was rather small and cosy but we enjoyed it, much better than being homeless thats for sure. I ended up finding a large family home for us to rent up in the Mountains, we made the decision to stay here as it is so much more affordable than Sydney, also the people are so friendly, the life style so laid back and everyone has time for each other. What a fabulous place to bring up the kids. So our new advenutre in life has begun. The little 6 love it here, the little 3 at school enjoy it so much, and my 3 elder ones, took a while to settle in but now they have made new friends, joined the local rugby league team, they are happy and even better to report is that they are enjoying their new school. So there it is in a nutshell, now I have time to be back on Minti so I look forward to catching up with everyone. Have a fabulous weekend and stay blessed :-)

Wow I can't believe that in 2 weeks the kids will be back at school, where did time go, its over before it even started!! It has been a busy couple of weeks for us, I had my nephew up from Cessnock, he spent a week with us, I think it was rather an eye opener for him being around 9 kids all the time. Jesse enjoyed having someone his age here, they spent alot of the time at the beach, movies and the mall!! probably looking at the girls more than the shops (lol). My Uncle departed for NZ on the 7th, the kids miss him, lucky I took him to the airport and went with him inside the terminal, as he would have gotten lost. He does pretty well for a sprightly 75 year old, I hope I am as adventurous as him at that age We had a lovely farewell lunch for him on the Sunday, with my brother and his family, my cousin Dan & his family, another Uncle and some friends who were over from NZ, all in all our house was chocka block. A great time had by all. At the moment I have been working on my latest hobby which is my family tree, I have started my site, on a heritage, site and I must say it is awesome, putting in all the info I have collected over time, and so far I have had 4 emails, all from different people around the world, and guess what we are all related!! how awesome. They are helping me fill in more information, on relatives, I never knew existed. It is time consuming, but very very worthwhile, I would encourage anyone to do it, it is amazing!! It has always been one of my goals to do our family tree and as I see it growing, it amazes me. My kids are like Mum you are a bit of a nerd (lol) this coming from the 2 teenagers, I know when the get older, they will appreciate it!!

Miss T, turned 4 on the 7th of this month aswell, we had a lovely, noisy party for her at home, then went up the park and played all day, having cartwheel races, handstand competions, obstacle course and running races, loads of fun was had by all. We met a lovely little boy there, who couldn't get over the fact that there was 9 kids in our family, he was an only child, anyway he enjoyed joining in all our games, and we have made a playdate to see him again at the park (weather permitting). Well hope everyone is having an awesome time during the school holidays, heres to an awesome 2008 on Mint

They had cultural items, blaring fijian music and just loads of fijian people, caught up with family members who we hadn't seen for months/years, so all in all a fabulous day. The sun was shining and it was awesome for my kids to see part of their culture, as where we live there aren't that many fijians around!! We got home at 6.30pm, Jesse and I had to get ready quickly to go to a birthday dinner at 7.30pm, which was nice and relaxing, got home after 11pm and boy was I knackered, sure was a long day.

Then on Sunday we were up early, dressed and off to my cousins engagment lunch, I took the 5 girls as the boys were more interested in staying home and relaxing with their Dad!! Us girls had a great time, lots of yummy food (great because I didn't have to cook!!) another load of friends and family members to catch up with, whom we hadn't seen for ages aswell. They were all suprised on how big the elder 2 girls had grown!! I was suprised at how many of them had become parents, grandparents in the 2 years I hadn't seen some of them, not to mention how grownup alot of the kids had gotten. Time sure flies. The couple received lots of lovely pressies, she wore a beautiful dress and he wore the traditional tongan mat etc and once again it was awesome for the kids to see more polynesian culture. I for one can't wait for the wedding I collected a few phone numbers and am determined to keep in touch with cousins and their families. Nowdays we get caught up so much in our own little world that we forget to keep up all the other important extended relationships. We have already booked in for a Sunday lunch in 2 weeks with my uncle and his family, plus another cousin and her son, so it looks like a good start already woooohooooo heres to FAMILY you have gotta luv them

wow I can't believe how quick the weeks have been flying by, isn't it amazing as you get older how much more quicker it seems to go!! not to mention there never seems to be enough hours in 1 day (lol). Well we have had a full on month my kids all came down with varioius degrees of the flu, followed by the wonderful gastro (yuck) it would be great if they all got it at the same time, but sure enough they got it in drips and drabs, I must say I am so happy to now be cough, vomit and poop free (lol). Thanks to all the rainy weather, my washing was back loaded, but yeha I am all caught up and relishing it!! Quest had his orientation day last week for kindi, he did really well and enjoyed himself totally, the only hiccup we had was half way through their time in the classroom with the teacher, he stood up and said I have had enough now and I am off to see my Mum, he then ran out the door and came to the hall were I was with all the other parents, I had to explain to him that he can't leave the room until the teacher gives him permission!! I am sure he will really enjoy school once he starts at the end of January (fingers crossed). We celebrated Crees 6th birthday with a party at McDonalds with her school buddies, she totally enjoyed herself, especially getting some lovely pressies, I totally enjoyed not having to cook, clean or entertain loads of screaming kids (lol). Definitely worth the money, takes the hassle out of having it at home. I am currently planning Quests 5 birthday which is in 3 weeks, we are going to have a family trip to the Aquarium, since my elder 3 aren't interested it will be me and the tribe of 5, fat baby will stay home with their Dad, wooohoo it will be a great adventure, riding the train etc, I can't wait.

The countdown is on to Xmas, my little ones have been dropping hints etc, I just say oh well be thankful for whatever you get, my kids don't believe in Santa which for me is awesome, but I am always reminding them that they can't tell other kids that he isn't real, because too many kids he is, they are like oooohhh woooow. So far so good, we haven't had any mishaps in the last 16 years!! Oh well I hope everyone is well, and having an awesome start to the week, take care of yourselves and take care of number 1 (yourself) so you are able to look after everyone else I will end with GOOD LUCK TO JESSE who is sitting his first exam today for year 10 and all the other year 10 students out there

My 2 eldest girls are going the Nickleodeon Awards tonight thanks to their Aunty who got them front row passes, so they are having a special treat, attending the awards with their 2 cousins and then staying overnight at a city hotel with my sisterinlaw, they were so excited. Both of them have actually been away for the last couple of days, spending time with their grandparents up the Blue Mountains, so when I talked to them on the phone they were really excited. My little tribe of 6 are excited because tomorrow on Nickleodean they are showing the awards, so they are going to try and spot the girls in the front row and of course Mummy is going to tape it so they have a awesome memento of a great outing Hope everyone is having a great holidays and enjoying having their kidz at home

The one thing I accomplished was cleaning out the entire rumpus room which next week becomes the girls very large bedroom, which is awesome as it is huge and can fit all 5 of them in it comfortably with them having their own space (yeha) they are very excited and have been planning were everything is going to go. Slade & Quest then move into the girls old room and make it their own space, so next week will see lots of smiles on everyones faces, the funny thing is they don't mind all bunking in together, which is awesome and it was my idea to move them all, I know they will love it at the end of the day My inlaws are arrivng next week (woohoo) so tomorrow we are cleaning and generally just tidying up. The kidz are so excited that their grandparents, 2 uncles and aunty will be here for a month doing the rounds, it means we will be having lots of family get togethers all over Sydney (yeha) we love family time Wishing everyone a safe and fabulous weekend, take care and God bless you all till next time

Wow I have been so busy that I haven't had time to get on my fav site to blog (lol) we celebrated Kordells 1st birthday on the 6 August, had a great little party at home with the kidz and some other family members, it was so much fun, lotz of food, games and laughter, I can't believe how quickly a year has gone and now my little man is 1, he is so cute with his lovely smiley personality, nothing phases him, he just moseys along happy as larry Two days later my favourite Uncle turned up for a suprise visit from NZ, he was treating himself to a 60th birthday trip, we have been close since I was a little girl and in the fijian custom my children call him Tua which means granddad, my kidz were over the moon to have their Tua here for a week, we celebrated his birthday on the 08/08 with dinner at our local RSL they have a buffet restaurant, the kidz totally went for gold eating everything at least twice (lol) especially the elder ones!! we saved his birthday cake for home where everyone sang very loudly and proudly happy birthday and took lots of pictures. The rest of the week was spent taking him shopping, site seeing and all just having some greatly appreciated family time together. It was very sad saying goodbye makes you realise how much I miss having my family around. Last Wednesday (15th) Slade turned 7, we had a pizza night (his favourite takeaway) and a little cake. He excitedly handed out his invites at school as he had his birthday party yesterday (Sunday) at Hungry Jacks, lots of fun was had by everybody, I must say it is soooo worth it at the cost of $5.25 per child, they get a meal, colouring book, crayons, party room, and also a hostess who does games and cleans up the mess!! He got some lovely pressies and had so much fun. What topped it off was my hubbys cousin and his family came down from the mountains to spend the weekend with us and attend the party, we all spent a lovely weekend together, laughing, the kidz playing etc. There is nothing better than family (for sure) or the sound of your childrens laughter Today I am cleaning my house from the aftermath of having visitors over the weekend, it is starting to look cleeeeeean (lol). Hope everyone has been having a safe and wonderful month, keep smiling and count all your blessings

The little people wound down with a dvd and all feel asleep on mattresses in the room, then allowing the adults to have some time out, it was great to have some adult conversation and generally just be in the company of other people (lol). A great start to the weekend The only downfall saying goodbye to some awesome family, booooohooo, may God keep them safe until our next family adventure all together

Well the latest news in our house at the moment is that Jesse and his girlfriend have decided that they are much better off being friends rather than a couple!! So he is officially back to being single! I must say, I was just thinking the other day that he is still not ready to have a girlfriend as over the holidays he called her once and apparently at school my daughter told me he is always to busy playing footy (lol) rather than hanging out with his girlfriend. So all in all it was a good learning kerb for him and I asked him if he was sad, but he said "no" it is much better being mates!! So I am happy because I don't have to worry yet about all the other problems of a young teenage boy having a girlfriend!! Now I will sit back and see when the next crush will appear on the horizon!! We had a great day today at home, my friend came over with her 2 little dogs and the kidz just loved it, running around in the backyard with them, petting them, getting them water to drink, they enjoyed it so much (so did the dogs), what a lovely way to spend the afternoon, the folding can wait until tomorrow (lol), I am now off to snorey land it is 12.36am, good night everyone, pleasant dreams Catch you all again on Minti!!

Wow we have a busy week & a half and I haven't been on here for ages, so I thought I would pen down what we have been up to. We had an awesome family get together up in Portland at my brother inlaws new house, which he has built himself from scratch. My hubbys brother and his family and also 2 of their first cousins and their families and our crazy tribe all spend descended on their house on the weekend of the 15 & 16th July, the kidz enjoyed it so much, playing with the cousins, feeding the pig, chooks and 2 elpakas!! eating, watching dvds etc, I must say it was freezing there, thank goodness they have a huge pot belly furnace that kept the entire house cozy and warm. It is so beautiful there, you can just smell the difference in the air!! A great life for retirement, but I couldn't live there all the time, it is too far from everywhere (lol), I am truly a suburbs girl!! Then this week we had Mikes cousin and his family stay with us for a few nights as they are on holiday from NZ, it was awesome, the kidz just love being around family, since we have such a shortage of them in Aussie! We had a curry night, a huge playday in the park and a picnic outside, lots of laughter, photo taking, all in all alot of family fun had by all. Then to top off a great week, Mike & I went to the Bobby Brown concert last night, we haven't been out together in ages!! We had a great time together, stopped on the way home and had kebabs and drove past some old haunts

Well we are all feeling fantastic, it is so good to not have anyone coughing etc, only thing is now the hubby is sick as a dog!! he is more of a handful than the 9 kidz combined (lol), so we have all been waiting on him, as he is bed ridden, with the flu and he is banished to the bedroom, so that no one else will get sick. We had a great weekend, the girls baked a cake each and which were yummy, had a movie night with junk food on Saturday night, the little kidz loved it, we spring cleaned the kitchen on Sunday, it now looks fabulously sparkling clean, hope it lasts!! And also went shopping for some new slippers, & household goodies! Today we wiped down all the walls in the lounge, hung up a new picture I bought on ebay and also a new wall hanging, it all looks very spivvy. I think the week that we were all sick, has left us with all this pent up energy that is brimming over the top. Tomorrow is my catch up on the washing day, as today it poured down with rain. It sure is cold aswell. We are off to the Blue Mountains for the weekend to have a get together with my brotherinlaw and his family and also 2 of my hubbys first cousins and their families, it will be awesome to see family and the kidz are really excited to be able to spend time with their cousins So tomorrow is another day, hopefully the sun will make an entrance so the little people can play outside and enjoy the sun beaming on their faces. Thanks to the new mums who have added me as friends, and I will endeavour to try and get on MSN to have a live chat!! Haven't even managed to as yet (lol), hope everyone is having an awesome start to the week, and that you are all enjoying the school holidays, take care

Wow the sun is shining and I have just completed all my washing that has been building up due to all the rainy, windy, cold weather!! I am glad to say that the flu is finally departing our house, woooohoooo!! Everyone is feeling at least 85% better, it is so good to see the kidz playing with their toys, watching their favourite programes and generally just being chirpy, talkative and having fun. It sure was a long week, with coughs, lack of sleep, unhappy little faces, but yahoo the light can be seen at the end of the tunnel. I can't believe the holidays are here already, that sure went fast. Glad to report that Autumn and Cree got awesome reports, with some glowing accolades, big thumbs up Slades teacher is on long service leave and so he doesnt get his report until next term and when I rang the high school there had been a problem with the printer so that all of year 8 (Lakens year) won't get their reports until next term aswell. As for Jesse he got his report, and I must say it was not as good as I was hoping, generally the gist of it was that he could do so much better but just couldn't be bothered, so hubby and I have had a very straight forward chat with him about, the benefits of getting good grades, and that at the end of the day it will benefit him not us, especially when it comes to entering the work force. Hubby was not very impressed with his lack of enthusiasm at school, so he is now grounded from playing both rugby and legue and also going out. Jesse was like oh no, well a hard lesson to learn, but I am certain it will get the message across and next term will see a very attentive, teenager, applying himself!! Anyway I have booked an appointment with his year advisor for himself and I when school recommences so we can cover all bases of study etc. I am now going to do some more housework, catch up on all the things that you can't do when you are all sick. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend
