Oscar is asleep, Jack is playing & I have done the ironing & had lunch. First thing this morning Jack, Oscar & I were in the kitchen finishing breakfast, Jack turned to me & told me he'd done a poo & I thought "oh god, tell me we aren't back to that" but I didn't see him do it. Out to the toilet & yes it was diarrhoea. Thank god I had put jocks on him last night after his shower! I don't usually put jocks on him at night, and I have no idea why I did - mother's instinct maybe? While I was cleaning the mess he was outside (the toilet is in the laundry off the back veranda so we have to go outside to get to it) and got upset & said "I've got something on me mummy, get it off" - yes, more diarrhoea & he had no idea he was doing it. It happened twice more so I sat him on the toilet for a while then cleaned him up & went inside to dress him. James had gotten up in the middle of all this so he watched Oscar. After James had breakfast we all went out & fed the pups & played for a bit then came back in & sat down. Oscar was cuddling up to James & looked tired but he had slept in later than normal & doesn't usually get tired until lunchtime. After a while James had to go outside & I picked Oscar up & went to the kitchen & he vomited all over me! He looked so pale & tired the poor little guy. I was hoping he wouldn't get it but he has.

James has gone into town to play football, it's a home game so only in Frances 2km away, and I am upset I am missing the first match but kids come first. He was saying to me earlier that if all the pups aren't gone by the time they are 8 weeks old I will have to drop the price or give them away. I would prefer not to as they are worth the money we want for them & I would rather keep them longer & sell them for more. After he got to footy he rang & said that my cousing just told him he knows someone that is interested in a pup so they might come out after football to have a look! YAY! If they decide to buy one that will be 3 sold & 3 to go. I rang the vets yesterday to find out what time they will be out here on the 30th (they come out to the football oval every 6-12 months & do vaccinations) so I can get a few of the dogs vaccinated & she said "your pups are gorgeous, you always breed great pups & I saw one out of the last litter a few weeks ago & he's a beautiful dog with a perfect nature". She said she is telling everyone about them & said she will vouch for them as she knows we breed good dogs. I was so happy about this and am really pleased that we have made a good reputation for our breeding!

Well, I guess I better get back to it, or maybe I will just surf for a while, LOL!

Oh, and I have gone gold - go figure, I had no idea! HAHA

Hope everyone has a great weekend! xxoo

Jack is all better today - thank god! He slept for 4 hours yesterday afternoon & was very cuddly when he got up and kept asking for a cup of milk but I told him it might make him sick again so he would have to wait until he was better. He seemed better and at tea time I let him have toast with (get this, it's what he wanted) vegemite & honey! He likes it so what can I say, LOL! Then he wanted another piece & just had honey. He kept that down well & was off to bed again at 8.20pm. He slept well & has woken up all better today, although I am still limiting what he can eat & drink for today.

I got a phone call from a friend last night, her mum is staying for a week & ran out of face cream so they rang to see if I had any of my Arbonne on hand, I did & she said she would buy it! She has never used the product before so I am hoping she likes it & keeps buying off me, or joins up so she can get it cheaper for herself. It's amazing how word gets around & something like that happens & helps me get my name & product out there!

Here's hoping Oscar doesn't get the bug (or myself or James for that matter, but James has hardly been home so he would be very unlucky to get it), I don't know how I would cope again! LOL! Hope you all have a great weekend, xxoo

Well Jack is sick! Yesterday L was here for the day & we all went to playgroup in the morning, taking bikes as the kids were to ride their bikes on the netball courts after their morning fruit. Everything went great & the kids had a ball. Jack has a Fisher Price tricycle that we can turn the wheels into the middle on & it makes it a 2 wheeler with just a little more stability than a normal 2 wheeler - and yesterday at playgroup he asked me to change the wheels for him & after a few minutes of help he was riding it all by himself & balancing so well! I was so proud! After playgroup I put a poster at the local store & the pub for our pups & L's nan works at the pub & said she would pick L up at around 2.30 - so he left just over an hour earlier than normal. Oscar was asleep and after L left Jack layed down & had a sleep too (they wear each other out so well! LOL). At tea time Oscar was screaming at me - he's impatient & when he sees me getting tea ready he wants it NOW - while Jack sat at the table with a book and "read" to me. Jack didn't want his tea, but I thought nothing of it & made him eat some of his vegetables because he is like that most nights now. James is leaving for work at 6.20am and getting home at around 7.45pm at the moment & just before James got home I had the kids showered & we were watching tv & Jack looked at me funny & vomited all over the couch twice, then got on the floor & vomited twice more! I felt so terrible for making him eat when he was obviously sick (not that I knew that earlier as he seemed fine), and he was so upset that he had vomited but said he was ok now. He sat in the kitchen while I tried to clean up & James came home & asked what was going on. I told him what had happened & he sat with Jack & Oscar while I tried to clean the couch & carpet. James changed Jack's clothes & 15 mins later he vomited everywhere again, but when we asked him if he felt sick or his tummy hurt he said he no, he was ok. He asked James to put his to bed about 9.15pm (we let him sit with us cause he wasn't well) and he slept pretty well, stirring a few times but didn't get sick. This morning he got into bed with me around 6.50am & I thought he was going back to sleep until Oscar woke up! We went out to the toilet & he said "I'm sick mum, I'm sick" so I said did he need to be sick & he said no so we went back inside & he had a small drink of water. About 10 mins later I asked if he was ok & he said he was, then threw up on the carpet again then asked for breakfast! Go figure! He kept asking for breakfast so I gave him a juice & some rice bubbles without milk to see how he went. That is still down thank goodness but he now has a temp that he didn't have before. Now it's a waiting game to see if he needs to go to the doctor or not. Luckily I have everything we need here all the time being so far from the doctor or chemist!

I have the whole house to clean today, which I started earlier by vacuuming the bi-carb soda off the spew on the carpet, and then Jack threw up again! I think my mum & Mick are coming tomorrow & we just had my dad & step-mum here Tuesday night. James has football Saturday & I was meant to go to my friends linen party today. Hopefully James' heel spur is ok with the new inner soles I got him & he can play a full game of football! Then he will probably be back at work Sunday, GRRR! The owner of the local pub also rang yesterday afternoon to ask if James or I can work the bar at a wedding he is catering in Coonawarra on the 19th - everyone will go down there together & he pays really well. James has done a lot of functions with him but he said he would like either of us to do it, doesn't matter who. James said he doesn't know but I have to tell him so he can organise someone else if we can't. James will have football that day but will be finished by the time they would have to leave, but he may not feel like doing it after footy so I think maybe I will do it & mum & Mick will come up & help James with the kids in case he has to work on the Sunday.

Everything is just too much today, I am lost & don't know where to start, I guess not sitting on here would be a good start but I don't get on much anymore so I had to come by. The new features look great, I just have to work them all out, HAHA! Hopefully Jack is better by tomorrow & we can get back to normal!

Friday I had to do the shopping in Horsham - we were meant to ALL go on Saturday but on Thursday they told James he would be working on the weekend so I had to go with the kids by myself. By the time I caught up with a few people that owed me money & got going we didn't get there until lunchtime & then had to eat & shop & got home at around 5.30pm! A really hectic day but worth the drive to shop at Aldi that's for sure, it saves us soooo much money!

Saturday James had to start work at 8am so the kids & I were alone as usual. The kids really feel it when he's not here on the weekends & I know some people say they don't know when it's the weekend but believe me they do! So the kids and I played & cleaned the house, fed the dogs, puppies, chooks & goose & I chatted a little on here. James got home just after 5 & said he had to work Sunday afternoon too.

Sunday morning we all went outside & fed Nipper & the puppies & the chooks & goose then went & cut a little wood in the paddock next to the house - this took most of the morning & I had been up with Oscar since 5.45am so we went inside & had an early lunch & Oscar went to bed. James had to leave for work at 1.20pm so the kids & I were alone again & he didn't get home until 6.45pm as they were burning the stubble ready to ploy & crop again.

Monday was the first day my friends son was coming so we were up & ready for him to arrive at 8.45am. He was really excited to come here & my friend said he had been talking about it all weekend & woke up in the morning & asked where he was going that day, she told him he could go to "D's" (where he used to go) or come here & he got really excited & said he wanted to come here! After he got here we played a little inside & then went out to feed the puppies & the chooks & goose. The kids had a ball with the pups & then we stayed outside until 11am playing & then came in & did some drawing. I cooked them all some lunch & then they played for 1/2 hour until Oscar went to bed & the older boys watched a movie while I ironed the clothes. At one stage I thought they were asleep as they had worn themselves out outside, but they were just nice & relaxed, LOL! After Oscar woke up we all went outside again & played in the sandpit & on the play gym, etc, until my friend got here to pick L up. L & Jack were in the sandpit when M got here & I said "sorry he's so dirty, but he's had great fun!", but she didn't mind she was just happy that he was good & had fun! While they were still here M wanted to see the pups & decided they wanted one & said she would bring her hubby out later to see them. They came back out later & her hubby said they could have one so now I have sold 2 & they will be picked up at the end of next week. Signs are up advertising the rest of them.

Today not much to do, a little housework & later this afternoon my dad & stepmum are coming for the night, then going to their farm they just sold to clean up the next day. I am on weight watchers (started Sunday) & doing great, I am not actually going to meetings etc, just doing it myself (well, my best friend is doing it in Melbourne so I'm sort of doing it with her) & I have lost a kilo already & feel great! I was really surprised at how easy it is & that you can eat anything you want as long as you keep within your points for the day. I really need to shed some kilos & am hoping to be able to wear bathers in QLD when we go in July or August without being embarrassed!

That's about it for me, I hope everyone had a great weekend! xxoo

You wouldn't believe how big the puppies have gotten! The are now 3 weeks & 5 days old & running around yapping and growling - it's soooo cute! They will be ready to go to their new homes in 2 1/2 weeks so I am trying to prepare Jack as he thinks they are HIS puppies because his dog had them. I have been telling him that they are Nipper's puppies but they have to go and live with new families soon before they get to big for her and make her too tired. He seems to understand but we will see what happens when people come and take them.

Here's Jack with the puppies earlier:

I have to make up the posters to advertise them this week & get them put up over the weekend...that gives 2 weeks to sell them all - last time they were gone within 3 days. The female is already sold - I am just waiting on a lady to get hold of her landlord to see if she can have a dog in her house, I have given her until the end of this week to tell me otherwise I have a guy that wants her & both of these people are the ones that ordered one when we had the last litter because we had sold them all! Why couldn't she have had 2 females, LOL! We are selling them for $150 a pup this time...some people say that's too cheap but we aren't greedy & it's extra money either way - half for us & half for Jack because she is his dog & we will do the same for Oscar when his dog starts breeding too.

Hope everyone has a great week!

ps - I think I forgot to tell you all but the results from the biopsy from the mole on my forehead were all clear.

Wow, what a flat out weekend we have had! It started Friday with playgroup - the playcentre leader was away so we ran it ourselves & it was fun but busy for us all. While I was there another lady that lives at the other end of the farm we live on texted to say she wasn't coming as her daughter was asleep but did we want to go out there for lunch after...I thought that sounded great because then I didn't have to worry about lunch, HAHA! So we went out to their house for lunch & had zucchini slice & salad & I had picked up a few pieces of cake from the shop on my way out. It was nice to be away from home for a while but by 2 I had to come home as the kids were really tired. Both the boys fell asleep pretty much straight away in the car (it's about a 10km drive) and when we got home Jack layed down on his couch & watched a movie but didn't sleep - he hasn't had a day sleep for a whole week now, AAARG! Friday night James was in the bowls grandfinal & I was going to stay home with the kids as it has been really cold but it wasn't too bad so we went in in a separate car so we could leave when it got too cold & watched for a while. One of my friends that has moved to Mildura was there (he partner works with James) so we chatted & watched the bowls then decided it was too cold & went to my uncle & aunties house to wait for them to get ready & go to the pub for a drink for my cousins 19th birthday. My uncle had to go around the fires (they have been burning off the stubble here so he has to check that it's all out at night) so we took my aunty to the pub & the kids played with another little boy Jack's age there while everyone else sat outside in the cold (rather rude I think to invite us there knowing full well the kids couldn't be outside in the cold & leave us inside alone, but too bad I guess). After about an hour I took the kids home & we all went to bed. When James got home he walked back outside as the dogs were barking & there was a car with it's headlights pointing in our driveway - this is really odd as we live off a dirt road & you either have to cross a railway line to get to our gate or drive up a bumpy track. Anyway it sat there for about 30 seconds then drove further down the track (and it really is just a TRACK used by the farm) and turned in and shone it's light into the next driveway which goes into the woolshed, sat there for 30 seconds, drove back to our driveway, sat there for 30 seconds, drove onto the top of the railway line (it's on a little hill out the front), sat there for a minute then drove off down the road. The police have been blitzing us here as there is a lot of drink driving (no more than the average small country town though - not that I agree with it at all) and a young guy died in a car accident & he was drunk in the next town about 6 weeks ago & he had been at the bowling club here earlier that night. We worked out it was an undercover police car that had seen James drive down the track & then disappear & he must have though James had seen the headlights coming & tried to hide! James had had 2 cans the whole night & had waited 1 1/2 hours after the last before he drove home so he was in no way near the limit anyway so we are laughing about it now! LOL

Saturday was the first game of football - a pre-season match between 6 teams called the Seedmart cup, it's a round robin sort of thing. We played the first match here & then had to go to the next town (15km away) to play another. The kids had a ball & James got a small run (they were playing under 17s, B grade & A grade in the one team so everyone got only a short game) but his heel played up (we are pretty sure he has a heel spur) and in the second game he fulled himself out & told them to give someone else a go. I have to ring the chemist I used to work at & get some inserts sent out to put in his footy boots & see if they help otherwise he will have to pay $200-$300 for really good boots (which he doesn't want to do until he knows he will be able to play the season) or try something else. That took up the whole afternoon & by the time we got home it was almost tea time.

Sunday we had a lunch at James' boss's house for one of the workers on one of their other farms (they own 2 other smaller farms about 45mins from here) that is retiring. It was great...heaps of kids...heaps of great food & everyone had a good time. They live in a really nice big house that has a courtyard in the middle of it & an entertainment room with a bar etc in it off the side of it. They gave Tommy (they guy that retired) a Lazy Boy chair for his retirement! They are such great bosses & very generous! That took up the whole afternoon & I had put a stew in the slow cooker before we left as I knew we would get home late in the afternoon & I wouldn't want to cook! LOL!

James hasn't mentioned anything about me looking after my friends son again & has been back to his normal loving self...I have decided he has either forgotten, expected me to have forgotten about it & not do it, or has decided that it's not a problem. LOL! Either way I am going to look after him and he will just have to deal with it!

I hope you all had a great weekend! xxoo

Men are so bloody frustrating! James hasn't spoken to me since aoubt 9.45 last night when I got home from a mystery host Lorraine Lea Linen party last night - well apart from a goodbye & kiss when he went to work this morning. The story starts yesterday when James got home from work while I was giving the kids tea...James was late....I dished up tea for us & said to the kids "are you going to be good for dad tonight?" and James said "oh, are you going somewhere?" - but he said it like he knew but didn't want me to go. I said "yes I told you everyday for the last week that I'm going to Mandy's mystery host party"....he said "well don't buy anything" and I told him I wasn't going to & he told me I always say that & I always come up with a reason to buy something. Now, the idea of the mystery host party is that you get there & write your name down & put it a bag & after Mandy shows all the stuff she draws a name out of the bag....I won this time! YAY! I ended up with about $130 to spend so I got Oscar's underlay for his big boy bed (when he goes into it) & a doona cover for him for nothing. While I was there Mandy & I got talking about how her son, Lauchie (4), has all of a sudden started getting upset when she turns into the street where his daycare is (he goes to a lady that looks after about 8 kids in her home)...she has spoken to him & to the lady that looks after him & can't work out why. I said I would have him - it's only 2 or 3 days a week & probably only for the next 6-8 weeks anyway. She said that would be fantastic, but was I sure & she would pay me to have him. I said it would be fine & the kids would love having him here. We talked about it a bit more & worked out it would be for about 7 hours a day & she will pay me $20 a day, which I think is good as it will be a little extra cash for us & someone for the boys to play with & they get along really well. So, when I got home last night I told James I won the mystery host & got Oscar's underlay (which was needed) and a doona cover for him (he doesn't have any of his own) for free & James said "but how much did you have to buy to get them for nothing!". I explained I didn't have to pay a cent as I won the mystery host & got 10% of all sales to spend...I am not sure he believes me but he was sort of ok after I explained. The I told him I am going to look after Lauchie a few days a week & he went off! He said what happens if she cancels where he goes now & I can't look after him & I told him I will be fine as he's a good kid & gets along well with the boys. He then said I have enough to do now & I said I will manage fine & it's a little extra cash & he said "fuck all for too much, why do you do these things!" & stopped talking to me! I really don't see what the big problem is, I will still be home with our 2 boys & getting things done while earning a little cash. I am not giving in this time though, I WANT to do this & I am going to do it!

Anyway, sorry for the winge! LOL! Easter was great, we went to Port Macdonald where my mum & stepdad were staying on Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon & had fun. The weather was really windy & cool on Saturday but we got to see some boats go out & have a play on the playground with the boys. Sunday was great & I set up an easter egg hunt for our boys & my 2 cousins & everyone got a bit of choccy. It was nice enough to go out in the boat - well everyone but me anyway because nobody asked if I wanted to go & I guess they just figured that I had to look after the kids but James could go, typical - and once the boat was in the water James & Mick took Jack & my cousin Shakiera for a ride. Jack had never been in a boat before & loved it, James said he wasn't scared at all & stood up & held onto the windscreen & had a ball (he had a life jacket on of course). Just as they were turning back to come in & drop the kids off so they could go drop netting for crays some kelp blocked the breathers on the boat motor & melted a relay - my uncle Mick & his wife Janine were just putting their boat in too so they had to go out & tow them in! When they got back Jack jumped out to me & said "we got stuck out there in the boat mum!", it was so cute & funny the way he said it. We loaded the boat back onto the trailer & James & mum went out in my uncle's boat with them & ended up getting 2 crayfish (which we didn't get to eat any of) and Mick took the boat back to the shack & got the neighbour to look at it to see what was wrong with it & I took the boys & Shakiera to the bakery to get a snack & then to the playground near the beach.

We went back to the shack after that & my Aunty, uncle, nan & pa came for the day & we got fish & chips for lunch then went to the beach so my other uncle & cousin could scuba dive for some abaloni & I had promised the boys I would take them to swim & play. The beaches were covered in kelp from all the wind they had had the past few days but the boys had fun anyway.

As you can see the beaches were not that nice after all the windy weather in the days before but we had a great weekend & came home late Sunday afternoon & grabbed pizza on the way then had a relaxing night.

I hope everyone had a great Easter! XXOO

I am off to the doc at lunch time tomorrow to get my little stiches out of my forehead & get the results of the biopsy. I haven't been worried at all about the results as I think it's just a dark freckle, LOL! I knkow the stitches are going to sting a little coming out & looking at it I'm not sure they should be coming out tomorrow, it just doesn't look quite ready to me but the nurse said Tuesday would be too long to leave them so I had to get them out tomorrow. I will be really pissed if they want to leave them in & I have to go back because as most of you know it's a 1/2 hour drive just for me to go to town & I don't like to go much. I could take them out myself but you know what doctors are like, they like to see their handy work, LOL!

Kids are really good, getting into mischief & having a ball together, not a lot of fights but occasionally there is one. James is good, working hard as usual but at least he's on normal hours (8-5) for now, although they are starting to burn off the stubble in the paddocks today so he may be an hour or so late while they do that as they have to leave it until 4pm usually & then patrol it until it's out. He also has football training tonight instead of tomorrow night because of Easter & I have a roast chicken on, HAHA! He will just have to heat it up later or eat it for lunch tomorrow! I had to cook it because we have been dying for a roast & it's been way too hot to have the oven on for the last few weeks!

The puppies are growing so fast & almost have their eyes open now. They are 2 weeks old tomorrow & moving around everywhere. Nipper is such a good mum & makes us very proud. Jack loves to come over & feed Nipper with me in the mornings & sit in the kennel (it's quite large) and stare at the puppies saying "I love my puppies mum"! I explain to him whenever he talks about them that they have to go and live with other people soon in the hope that he won't get too upset when people take them away. Last time he was ok until a little boy took one, but this time he is 9 months older & quite attatched.

Well I better get off here & get the vegies on. Hope everyone is having a great week & I will blog the results of the biopsy as soon as I can after. xxoo

What a weekend!

As most of you know I went to have a mole (dark freckle really, LOL) removed off my forehead Friday.

As most of you know I went to have a mole (dark freckle really, LOL) removed off my forehead Friday. Mum & Mick were going to be too late so James ended up going to work for 1 1/2 hours then coming home & coming with me to watch the kids & drive me. He told John (my uncle & the farm manager) to ring him if he wanted him to come back to work...he ended up having the rest of the day off! YAY! We met up with mum & Mick at the shopping centre for lunch after my apointment, so they would have been WAY too late to watch the kids anyway! The local hurt quite bad but after that everything was fine...the usual feeling of pressure but no pain, which is good for me as I usually need 2 locals to numb me, HAHA! I have 2 very fine little stitches there now as my doc wanted to leave as little a scar as possible. I tell you looking at the biopsy punch they were using to take it out was pretty scarey though!

After a nice lunch with Mum & Mick we grabbed a few groceries & came home. I did feel a little woosy after I left the doc so I was glad James was there to drive...they said I might because the anaesthetic was in my head. I also had a bit of a headache for the rest of the day & felt really tired (but being tired was probably jsut being up so early everyday with Oscar, LOL). We all sat around in the afternoon & I burnt some programs onto disc for mum, printed her some photos to go in the coasters I bought them 2 Christmas's ago that they hadn't done yet & chatted on msn for a bit. Friday night James, mum, Mick & Jack went to bowls & Oscar stayed with me as he had only had 45 mins sleep max for the day & would have been too grumpy for them. I put Oscar to bed around 8pm & went to bed to watch a movie but by 9.15 I had to turn it off & go to sleep, LOL! It was nice to have some quiet time to myself though.

Saturday morning we decided we would go to the South East Field Days in Lucindale so we got organised & waited for Jack to get up...he got up at 9.15am! We told Mick & James to go & we would follow after we got the boys fed & organised to go - we had to take 2 cars anyway as we wouldn't all fit. We got there at around 10.45am and had a bit of a look until the Bobcat Ballet started at midday...if you haven't heard of it it is 4 blokes driving bobcats doint all sorts of tricks & stuff & it's awesome! I have a few videos of it which I will try and upload to youtube & get on here when I can actually get stuff to upload to youtube! Jack thought it was fantastic, Oscar was scared at first but after a few minutes loved it! In the mean time here's a photo:

After watching the bobcats we had some lunch then Jack got his face painted....I don't know how he handled it in 40 degree heat but he did!

After that we had a bit more of a look around while we put all out prize entries in at certain places & then we went home. I stopped at a seafood van on the way home & got some flake for tea to cook fresh fish & chips for everyone...it was delicious! We filled the pool up when we got home & Jack swam for about an hour & mum put the 2 little dogs in for a cool off...Oscar didn't want to get in though, I think it was too cold for him in the water as it's bore water so stays pretty cold.

Sunday morning mum and Mick left around 10.30am and we spent the rest of the day lounging around staying out of the heat! Jack and I had a nap in my bed in the arvo & then cooked homemade pizza for tea.

That's our weekend, it was great besides the stifling heat! Nothing much on this week except gettin my stitches out & finding out the results on Thursday. I am confident that they will be clear so I'm not worried in the least. James' dad & brother might be coming for the Easter weekend, otherwise we are home alone & maybe going to Port Macdonald for a day & night so James can go fishing with Mick & mum & I can take the kids to the beach.

Have a great week everyone. XXOO

Hope everyone is having a great week - and all you Southern Aussies are enjoying this heat wave! LOL! I'm off to the doctor tomorrow morning to have this mole (it's really a dark freckle if you ask me, not raised or anything) take off my forehead. I'm sure it's going to hurt, luckily mum & Mick are coming to meet me at the doctors - one problem, my sis had got severe infections in her eyes as she hasn't been taking her contacts out to clean them & has been staying with them this week. They couldn't find her old glasses so she has had to stay there as she is severely long sighted (to the point that her left eye turns in when she doesn't have glasses or contacts on & they can't fix it) and she can't see to work - it's that bad that she actually has fluid in her retina! Silly girl! So, she couldn't have her eyes tested until Friday for new glasses because they had to let them clear up a bit. Her appointment is at 9.15am & mum & Mick have to take her then take her home, my appointment is at 10.15am and it's an hours drive from my sister's in Mount Gambier to Naracoorte! We don't really want James to take the time off as we are saving for our holiday to Queensland in July (fill you in on that in another blog) and my aunty that works with James usually has Fridays off but doesn't this week so I am going to have to tak ethe boys with me & hope the doctor is running late (my doctor is never more than 15 minutes late & usually on time & mum thinks they will be 1/2 hour late) or stick them in the corner with a box of toys & hope they behave! I didn't want to change my appointment as there is a 6-12 week wait to get into our doctor and he fit me in specially, well he does leave Fridays open only for his own regular patients but that is for emergency or high priority appointments really. He said it won't take long, around 10 minutes, as it's done with a hole-punch sort of thing that will only leave a tiny scar in my brow line but may leave a bruise...very attractive! LOL!

James has bowls Friday night & it's the last night before the grandfinal in 2 weeks, if they win this week they make the grandfinal and they win every week so it's pretty much a shoe-in! I will be going to watch if my head doesn't hurt too much, unattractive as I will look with a bandage and bruise on my head, HAHA! If I don't feel like it mum & Mick are going to take the kids and leave me to myself - come to think of it maybe I will stay home! LOL!

Saturday we are all off the Lucindale Field Days...they are HUGE and great and we missed last year so we really want to go as you can get some great deals there & have a nice day out. Hopefully the weather is below 40 or we may not go as it's too hot for us let alone the kids! I'm not sure if I will get back on here before Sunday or Monday so everyone have a great weekend & good luck to my dear friend Stacey who is in the beginnings of labour as we speak (and I am talking to her as she's home by herself with her 2 year old Jordan)!

Well the long weekend is over & I am exhausted! Friday night we went to twilight bowls & James played as he usually does, his team won again & if they win this Friday night they will be in the grand final the week after Easter playing for an all expenses paid dinner for 10 at our local pub! Here's hoping they win & mum & Mick can watch the kids, LOL!

Saturday morning the late nights from the Circus Thursday & bowl Friday finally got the better of Jack and he slept until 9.15am! He also fell asleep in Oscar's pram at bowls just before we left Friday night! When he finally poked his head into the kitchen he didn't want any breakfast so we got him dressed & went to do the shopping figuring he would get hungry & we could grab him something in town. He never asked for anything to eat & we kept asking but he said no every time. When the shopping was done we grabbed some Red Rooster & drove home...Jack got a cheeseburger & it was all gone within 5 minutes & he was asking for chips! LOL! We knew he had to be hungry! When we got home Oscar went to bed & I unpacked the groceries while James checked on the pups & put the sprinkler on near the dog pens to keep it cooler as it has been 36+ since Friday.

While Oscar was asleep I jumped on here for a while & chatted to a few, etc. Had a relaxing afternoon inside until James had to go check an irrigator, we decided to all go so we jumped in the ute and off we went, the kids were having a ball looking through the paddocks then Jack fell asleep on the way home! We had tortillas for tea and veged out in front of the tv and watched a movie when the kids went to bed.

Sunday morning James had to check the irrigator again so we all went again & grabbed some feedlot dirt for my parsley barrell & some crushed limestone to put in the dog pens to stop them digging out & make them not so dusty. The pups are doing so well in the heat, Nipper has moved them off the bed onto the dirt in a little hole she dug to keep them cool & we have the sprinkler on so it goes into the pen yard to keep it cooler in the kennel for them. I have already sold 3 of the pups (2 were ordered from the last litter) at this stage but I am waiting to hear back from people to make it definite.

Yesterday we didn't do much at all - we did fill my parsley barrell with the feedlot dirt & spread the crished limestone in the dog pens, then came inside out of the heat! At around 5pm James filled the boys pool and they jumped in for 1/2 an hour to cool off & had a ball.

Jack has finally hit the terrible 2's full steam (for him anyway) and has been quite defiant lately - answering back, not doing what he's told, snatching toys off Oscar and even hitting him sometimes. Nothing we do seems to stop him, the naughty corner (time-out) works sometimes as he HATES going there, but if you try to talk to him & tell him why he's in trouble & what he's done wrong he laughs at you half the time! I make it sound like he's being awful, and at times he is, but honestly next to some other kids I know he's really good it's just hard for us because he's always been so well behaved!

Oscar has been waking anywhere between 4 & 6 - 6 I can handle but at 4-5 when he screams & won't go back to sleep even in bed with me I find it hard to handle! Yesterday I was up from 4.45am unti 9.15pm and I am sooo tired it's not funny! I have also stopped breast feeding him , I am not sure how I feel about it but it doesn't seem to bother him. He has only been having one feed before bed and 1-2 cups of milki during the day for the last 3-4 weeks & last Saturday when James & I went to our friends 30th he wouldn't feed off me before we left as it was 2 hours earlier than normal so mum gave him a few cups of milk before bed & he was fine. Then Friday night at bowls he refused me so I thought he just didn't want to have one there, but when we got home he didn't want it either so he missed that one. Saturday night he didn't want to feed when I offered it to him at first but 15 mins later he wanted it. Sunday night he had 1/2 a feed off one side then pulled off & I saw that I was bleeding from crack (surprisingly it didn't hurt at all) so I move him to the other side & he didn't want it, so he misse 3/4 of a feed then. Last night I psyched myself up & gave him a cup of milk instead of a breastfeed & it didn't bother him at all! As some of you know I had been toying with the idea of whether I was ready to stop for some time now & I am still not sure how I feel about it but I had to take the signs & it seemed he was ready to stop so I have stopped. I guess I am a little sad about it & I tried to explain to James how I feel about it yesterday but he doesn't really understand - I said to him that he would be happy about me stopping & he said I should too, I explained that I was a little sad as it's the last thing that I have with him that's just ours & he said "don't be silly". I told him I will never do it again & it's sad for me & he said "but you don't want anymore kids anyway" and I said that actually I would like another one & he said "no, 2 is perfect & we aren't having anymore". We talked about it for a few minutes & I said I think I would like one or two more kids but I know he doesn't want anymore & I am happy to have our 2 boys. He really doesn't want anymore & we always agreed on two, don't get me wrong I am so happy to have 2 and will not be sad if we don't have more, and I don't really mind not having a girl at all, but I seem to have this urge that is telling me I want another one minute then the next I'm not sure. I guess it doesn't matter anyway cause we aren't going back for another. LOL!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a few pics for you but they won't upload at the moment so I'll put them up later. XXOO

Three blogs in 2 days - you guys will die from shock! HAHA

Firstly, here is a photo of the puppies today - they are so happy and healthy, but I think we may have to move them and Nipper for a while as it's so hot here at the moment & we don't want them to get heat stroke or anything, I couldn't bear it if something happened to one of them. I went to feed Nipper and check on them earlier and they were all asleep lined up in a row so I had to take a photo to show off! LOL!

The circus last night was awesome! The kids had such a great time - so did I actually, and James did too! I did get a few photos but I forgot the camera so they were taken with my phone and aren't that great but here are a few:

The tightrope walker - he was amazing!

This lady was on the Russian Silks, it was amazing how she held herself up there with just her leg(s) or arm(s). She also did a few other acts & boy is she flexible - one being a rag doll & it was unreal how floppy she was!

I just had to put this one here as it's sort of spooky but I love it (it's Jack in awe of the guy on the tightrope), I didn't want to turn the light on on my phone camera and bother anyone so it was pretty dark when I took it & this is how it turned out:

They also had geese that went down & slide, a dog that did tricks, cows that did what they were told (believe me it's a very rare occurence, lol), a miniture pony that ran under the cows while they stood with their front legs up on the ring, ponies that trotted around, camels and a llama, amongst clowns and a few other acts. I would highly recommend it - apart from the late night & expensive light-up toys, HAHA! We got Jack a sword as loads of kids had swords, wands & fans that lit up & made noises (we thought why not spoil them as it didn't cost us much to go with the tickets we got given) and it cost $15! Lets hope it lasts longer than the $10 one dad bought him a the Carols by candlelight before Christmas!

Wow, it's so amazing - Nipper has had 6 puppies! She looks so happy & content like it was easy! I checked on her at around 8.30am and she was still fat & pregnant, no sign of anything happening...although yesterday she wasn't coming out of the kennel much & when I went over this morning she just leant against the wire of her pen & let me rub her nose...then James comes home around 12.20pm for lunch, walks in and says "5 pups". I said "what? she's had them? she hadn't had them a few hours ago"...he said "well she has now & there's 5"...I said "is she finished" & he said "yep, looks like it". I asked him why he had checked her as he usually doesn't if he comes home during the day - that's my job - and he said he drove in that was & she didn't come out so he thought he better look. I said I would go and give her something to eat and take Jack over (she is his dog and he is so excited) to see the pups after James went back to work...Jack and I toddle over, go into the pen, I put her food in her bowl, walk into the kennel & there is 6 pups (5 male & 1 female)! She's certainly a natural mum, and the pups are an hour old at the most & are wriggling around everywhere. I thought I would put some pics here for you all to see & I will put more up as they grow.

Oh I'm so excited! I love having puppies - even though they have to be sold in 6 weeks or so! I just love being a mummy I think. HAHA!

Here's the puppis on their own:

I have some more but I will leave them for another day.

Oscar is on the mend (as you can see by the photos) so we are off to the circus tonight! YAY - I think I'm more excited than the kids, HAHA! I got a phone call Tuesday night while James was at footy training from a guy he plays twighlight bowls with on Friday nights...he asked if we would like 2 adult tickets to the circus. I said it would be great. James and I had only been talking about it at lunchtime that day as he had driven past it in Naracoorte on his way to one of his boss's other farms. We thought we would give it a miss this time as the kids are a bit young & it's quite expensive ($25 per adult & $12 per child over 2), but when David rang and offered us tickets (which chop $20 off our entry fee) I jumped at it & thought why not. So we are going & we only have to pay $22 instead of $62! Oscar is free! It will be so much fun & I will try and get some pics to show you all.

That's it for today, hope everyone is having a great week. XXOO

What a weekend! It was a rush to get my uncle & his girlfriend off the train and down to the funeral, then we get there & the church is full & we have to stand outside, can't hear & of course the kids didn't want to stand still. That was all managable though, then mum said she would take the kids to her house in my car & for me to go to the cemetry with everyone else in their car. I helped nan walk through the cemetry & was quite shocked at how much she needed my help & clung to my arm - it's awful to realise that your grandparents are getting old & my nan has always been so strong & able and now she can't walk far & is a little unstable on her own when she does. The sun was quite harsh & I got a little burned while at the cemetry, not too serious but with my skin I am very paranoid about it.

After the cemetry we went back to mum & Mick's house and had some afternoon tea as we didn't want to go to the wake. Then nan & pa asked us to go out to there house for a bbq tea so they left & we got organised & went out at tea time. It was nice to spend some time with nan & pa and the kids had a ball. I ended up with both the boys in bed with me when we got back to mum's as I hadn't taken the portacot - it was only one night & Oscar sleeps well with me, but then Jack decided because Oscar was sleeping with me he would too & didn't want to sleep in his room (he has his own room at mum's), needless to say I didn't get much sleep! LOL! The next morning we got organised to go & went down the street to see if I could get something for James to wear to the 30th Sat night but the op shop was closed there too. We went out to nan's to pick them up & Luke & Diza as they had gone out for breakfast & we had to get them back to Bordertown to get on the train at 2pm & have a birthday lunch there with Nan before they left. Lunch was great & mum got them to bring out a slice of mud cake for nan after & we all sang her happy birthday. After that we took Luke & Diza to the train & the boys loved seeing the train close-up so we promised Jack that we would take them for a trip on the train soon.

We got home around 3.30pm & Oscar went straight to bed so James layed on the couch for a rest as he had a bad night while we were away - we think he had a little food poisoning - and had been up since 5.45 & did 5 loads of washing while he waited for us to pick him up on the way to Bordertown! I went to the bedroom & layed down to watch some tv until mum, MIck, nan & pa & Jack got home as they went to the supermarket to grab some stuff for their tea. When they all got back we played outside with the boys until James and I had to get ready to go out to the 30th & mum was just getting the boys in the bath when we left. I had tried to give Oscar a breastfeed before we left as he still has one before bed but it was too early for him & he wasn't having any of it! LOL! I told mum to give him a cup of milk before bed & off we went.

It was really nice to get out by ourselves - I can't actually remember the last time we did it. Unfortunately we were both really tired but we had a good time & got home around 10.45pm. Ok, I know that's really early, especially when we didn't have to worry about the kids, but we were so tired! LOL! The kids had gone to bed no worries, been really well behaved & Oscar had drank 2 1/2 cups of milk before bed! We knew they would be no trouble, but I was a little worried about how much milk had let Oscar drink. They both slept all night but in the morning when Oscar got up I discovered he had a dirty nappy & it looked like it had been there all night so his little bum was a bit raw - it's all better now though thanks to papaw ointment. Within half an hour of getting up though he did another one that was quite runny (sorry if it's too much info, haha) and almost white. I had never seen one that colour before but I put it down to too much milk as he seemed fine.

I cooked everyone eggs on toast for breakfast then we all went outside and played with the boys again & let the little dogs out for a while - wow Nipper is so huge! She is Jack's dog & due to have her second littler of pups on the 9th of this month - only 6 days to go!

Everyone left around 11am and we came inside & I jumped on the computer fora while & caught up on some stuff, then we had lunch & the boys & James went to sleep so I got back on here for a bit then went to lay down for a while. My cousing Caddy came over from Bordertown to visit & the kids woke up aoubt 15 minutes after she got here but Oscar woke crying which is really odd. He didn't seem to want to stop but I got him a cup of milk & a snack & sat down with him. He had one sip of milk & pushed it away, put some fruit flakes in his mouth & he chewed but screwed his face up & then sort of choked & started vomiting. I thought he had just choked on the fruit flakes but the smell of the vomit I knew something wasn't right & took his temp & it was quite high. I gave him nurofen & that came straight back up so I waited 5 mins while trying to get him to drink some, water which he wouldn't, then tried some Dymadon & that came straight back up too. I put him in a tepid bath to cool him down & rang the hospital & she said if he won't drink bring him in so I gave him to James & went to get the nappy bag ready. When I came back to the kitchen James had gotten him to drink a little water so I thought I would try a hydralyte iceblock & he nibbled a little off that then didn't want anymore. I rang the hospital back & said he had a little & I would wait a while & see how he went. James took Jack out to feed the dogs so I sat with Oscar & watched some tv - 20 mins later he vomited everywhere 2-3 times so I rang the hospital to tell them I was coming. James stayed home with Jack and made them tea while I took Oscar in as it's 1/2 hour drive then wait however long for the doc to come. I got there about 5.40pm & saw the doc at about 6.30pm which wasn't so bad I guess. While we were waiting they gave Oscar some panadol & he actually managed to keep it down. They said I had done all the right things & did a good job getting his temp down enough to stop the vomiting. When the doctor checked him out we discovered he has tonsilitis! Why? What is it that I do that both of my kids get tonsilitis? I don't get it, I must be doing something wrong, although what I don't know. We eat really healthy - lots of fruit & vegies, hardly ever eat lollies or take-away - it just doesn't make sense! I am going to do some research because there has to be something that causes it that I don't know about.

Anyway I am off to do my research & see what I can do different that might help. Hope everyone had a great weekend, xxoo

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't blogged earlier but it's been a bit hectic round here. My birthday dinner was great - because of the flu my voice wasn't fantastic but it provided some laughter for all, HAHA! My mother behaved herself pretty much & managed to be nice to everyone. I got some awesome presents too - from my stepbro Glen & his new wife Charlotte a Moroccan Tajine (a ceramice cooking vessel used in traditional Moroccan cooking that you have to soak before use) & it's actually from Morocco both James and I are excited about this one! A Creole (fushion) cook book from dad & Judy, a big pamper pack from my step-nanna, a gorgeous bracelet that my name will be engraved on from my friend Prue & James' best mate Daniel, from my brother Chippy a country style key hoder to hang on the wall with tiles with chooks on them on it - and they look just like my chooks (Oscar is obsessed with it & stands there looking at it saying "chook mum, chook", LOL! I am also getting a fancy iron from Mum & Mick as mine has been dead for some time, HAHA! All in all I did really well & I think it's been the best birthday for presents I've had in years!

The best present of all was dad telling me he had another present for me, then telling me after his first lot of hormone therapy for his prostate cancer his cancer levels have gone down for the first time since he had his prostate removed - I handed back the other present & told him I didn't want it because he had just given me the only present I ever wanted! He isn't cured by any means an will probably never be cured as the type that he has has never been cured before, but it has prolonged his life a little. The way he was going he would not have made it another 10 years, maybe not 5, but now the hormone therapy is slowing it down he will be around longer than that! It's such a relief because every other treatment they have tried hasn't worked at all, now he has a pellet in that will last 6 months instead of 3 and then he can have 6 months off then 6 months on, etc. When we went to stay with them earlier this year dad had only just had his first hormone pellet put in a few weeks before & was having awful hot flushes & was so tired - I prayed so hard it wasn't all for nothing again & thank goodness it isn't! I just can't explain how relieved I am!

Yesterday, as some of you know, I had a doctor's appointment to get some moles checked. Everything went well & the 2 that I was worried about are fine, but I have one on my forehead that I was told 4 years ago by a pharmacist/doctor I was working with to get removed & my doc wants to take it off. He was going to take it off today but I can't get there today. He said I won't have much of a scar as they use this thing that's like a hole punch sort of & it just takes the mole & will only leave about a 5mm scar that will hide in my frown lines, HAHA! He said it will probably bruise my forehead though as some blood may pool there, and not to have it done if I have anything on. LOL! So I am booked in on the 13th of March to have it removed & apparently it will only take 10 mins - mum is giong to come up & watch the kids for me.

Today I have to pick my uncle & his girlfriend up off the train from Adelaide as we have a funeral in Casterton - my auntie's husband's uncle, he has always been close to our family. I pick them up in Bordertown which is 50km from here in the opposite direction we have to go, then it is almost 2 hours from there to Casterton & we will just get there in time for the service. James is working so the kids & I will stay at mum & Mick's (they live in Casterton) tonight. Tomorrow is my nan's birthday & Luke & Diza have to get back on the train in Bordertown at 2pm so we have to drive them back. We had organised mum & Mick to come up tomorrow anyway as we have a 30th to go to tommorow night, so they are driving up aswell & bringing my nan & pa with them. It's nan's birthday tomorrow so we are taking them out for lunch in Bordertown before Luke & Diza get on the train. Then we have to drive 1/2 hour back to our house & get ready for this 30th which is a 70's op shop theme party. I have clothes in my wardrobe that I can wear cause I have tye died stuff but I still have to get something for James to wear as the op shop was closed yesterday when I went in to the doc. GRRR, I hope I can find him something in Casterton (very unlikely as it's a small town), or maybe one of my uncles will have something in there wardrobe....oh I hope so as I would feel stupid if we were the only ones not dressed up!

I have so much to do before I leave - I have to do the dishes, vacuum the floor & then vacuum out the car. Thank goodness James washed the car for me last night before he went to football training. It was also our 4th wedding anninversary yesterday but we didn't see much of each other - normally James would have stayed home from training but he missed Tuesday because it was my birthday and he needs to be fully fit before they start playing.

Ok, I better take off and get all this stuff done, we have to leave in under 2 hours now. Have a great weekend everyone & Jo, I am nervous with you about the funerals. Luv you all xxoo

Well yesterday I woke up with a cold & it slowly got worse as the day progressed. Today I wake up feeling like death warmed up all ready for my birthday dinner tomorrow night . I was supposed to go into town & do a little bit of a top up shop today before people get here - 2 today & the rest tomorrow - but I told James this morning I don't think I can handle shopping & the 2 kids today so he said we can go tomorrow morning & if I don't feel well enough he will do it by himslef - he's such a sweetie! He even said yesterday morning when I woke up a little yuck not to worry about tea - as he's working down at one of the owners other farms he would stop in at the Apsley store & get a roast chicken on the way home. Made my life easier last night as I just put on a packet pasta (very out of character for me to make something froma packet) and heated up some left over vegies from the night before for the kids and myself while James went to footy training.

Can't believe it - I'm 30 on Tuesday (I see it as a good thing though, not bad) & there are heaps of family & a few friends coming for my dinner out tomorrow night & I'm sick! Typical! The one and only night in years that is actually for me & doesn't have me organising something for someone else & I am down & out! Everyone please send me all your healthy vibes so tomorrow I wake up healthy and happy and ready to celebrate! You can all have a drink for me too as I won't be drinking still - I figure it's been over 3 years now since I have drank, I am still feeding Oscar once a day before he goes to bed, and I really don't see the point in drinking anymore, HAHA! Mad I think I am! LOL!

I hope everyone is feeling better than me right now & has a fantastic weekend - I know I am going to try to! XXOO

I didn't want it to be cut yet but James & I were cleaning out the bathroom cupboards (long overdue!) and Jack asked James if he could take his hair off, HAHA. So I said if he could wait until we were finished I would cut it for him - I did a really good job, James and I are both impressed as it is actually better than any hairdresser has ever cut it.
