My first was an emergency and the second and third electives. My first being an emergency was a bit of a blur but recovered really well and second I didn't really enjoy - found it a bit freaky but recovered really well. Third time round REALLY enjoyed the experience as I knew what it was going to be like - it was a fantastic birth experience and this baby was healthy so got to feed straightaway. Third recovery sucked though - took waaaayy longer than the others about 6-8 weeks before I felt "normal".

it was painful, but only a day after the op. to best recover try this band you get to wrap around your waist it acts as support to keep it all together and not moving around too much. if you have someone to help you out with baby the first few days that is great. moving around is uncomfy and could be painful so the someone to help is really good...

I had an emergency c-section 19 yrs ago.I remember that the operation was no drama and still able to see and hold my baby before she was whisked away to special care nursery. The recovery time was painful but I was fine if I rested.Five days in hospital and then back home.Couldn't lift anything heavy but just be sensible about what you ...

I was sore for about 2 weeks (nothing unbearable) but felt fine with both within 2 weeks (like back to normal). You will have restrictions (like not lifting more than the baby's weight) and you really need to follow that. But other than that, I have no real complaints.
