I work with pregnant women all the time and the benefits of pregnancy massage are magnificent.

Here is my blog on pregnancy massage i hope it helps you

If you are looking for a therapist and you are in australia check out http://www.naturaltherapypages.com.au then click on the modality you are looking for such as Remedial Massage or Pregnancy massage, the post code you are in and off you go

Whether it's pre-conception, during your pregnancy, or during labour, massage has great benefits for the pregnant woman.

With extra tension in the body caused by hormones and a shift in your centre of gravity, having a massage can be a real life saver.

Massage during pregnancy can reduce peripheral swelling, help to prevent insomnia, reduce muscle cramps and back pain, and soothe the nervous system.

Regular massages during pregnancy can also shorten labour time and make the return of your optimal fitness easier.

During labour, massage is an effective pain relief tool. Ask about how your partner can massage you during labour, and find out from myself Jennifer the important trigger points to AVOID during pregnancy, as it's possible to induce labour by applying pressure to the corrent trigger point.

Wishing you a wonderful Pregnancy

Poor you. You have a pinched sciatic (spelling???) nerve, as you are still full of arms and legs, your options are unfortunately limited. You should try hot & cold packs, 20 min of each and then just hot (microwaveable wheat ones are great, hold heat for a long time)
gotta go, good luck

There isn't alot you can do, I used alot of heat packs and got my hubby to rub linament in. It helps to eliaviate it for just a little while to give me a rest. There is also an excerise you can do if you can manage it; You lay on the floor on your back one leg out straight and the other bent, you bring the bent on over your body to rest on the other and feel it stretch, then do the other side. Good luck and I hope this helps.
