Hi there

I too get annoyed with this. If I come across an article that has no full stops and is written in one big block with no paragraphs, then i generally just pass it by. I'm sure I have probably missed quite a few great, informative pieces by doing so but I just don't have the time. In return though, I am certainly guilty of not using capitals when I type i. As for people using English as their second language, generally I can tell when this is so as their spelling may not be "spot on" or phrases a bit mixed up. This doesn't bother me at all and thumbs up for giving it a go - keep at it!

I think that if you are going to the effort to write an article or comment on one, then effort should be made to proof read it first to elliminate any mistakes and to simply ensure what you have written actually makes sense.

Though I don't think anyone is being disrespectful, I totally agree about the punctuation, and grammer too.
I do find articles that are improperly written difficult to read and I'm less likly to read something like that, no matter how good the subject might be.
Maybe drawing attention to this difficulty will help others take more time with thier writing.

Well, somehow, I’m glad someone raised the question. I thought, being foreigner, I was the only one not to properly understand what some people meant in their advice, but it's reassuring to see that other people do have difficulties too. I suppose for some people, the way something is written doesn't really matter since they get the tune, they therefore get the meaning with no trouble.

And then again, it's true that one is easily carried away while writing, so it comes as no surprise that one might forget punctuation.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that people so doing are disrespectful, but if they could punctuate their advices properly, it would certainly show their consideration for the other members (and it would perhaps make their advices more pertinent – at least in the eyes of people like me, whose English is not bad but is still a foreign language!)

I’m pretty sure a lot of people never thought that the lack of punctuation in their advice would cause other people not to thoroughly comprehend them, and I’m also quite certain that no-one ever thought of purposely misleading anyone here. However, I hope these members would now realise that it can be quite hard to get their point and that they would try to write more appropriately from now on. Thank you for the ones who at least will try!!
