Toddler Gold milk is something we were warned against by the early childhood nurses as being one of the biggest contributors to childhood obesity. There is a very large sugar content and a lot of stuff they don't need - despite what the advertisers would like you to believe. If they are eating a healthy and varied diet and drinking normal milk by 1, this is an unneccessary thing to rely on. Just thought I should get that tidbit out there. Sounds like it worked for you though.

That should be OK so long as you replace the milk she is not having with formula (after 12months she can have cows milk). I'm not an expert but some of my friends in mum's group went through this also. Often your child will tell you they have had enough.

She is just letting you know that she doesnt need it any more!! There is nothing to worry about as long as she is getting her vegies ect and eating her food. Good luck and you are doing well!!! Tee

This is pretty normal Emmie, just happens at different ages for different kids. Just let her keep going the way she is - I changed to cows milk at this age as I was advised by Dr and Community Midwife I could (son was refusing breast as I was 2 1/2 months pregnant). I would try to get her onto a cup for what she is having though (if she isn't already) as the bottle can be a pain to get rid of when you want to! Hope this helps

Sounds like your doing the right things. Its normal for her to want to drop formula feeds at that age. My son did and I put him on the Toddler Gold milk till he was 2 :) Its vanilla flavoured and he would have 1 cup a day and its full of all the vitamins and minerals just to make sure they get their RDI of everything :)

As long as she is eating a wide range of foods then she won't need any formulas or toddler milks after she turns 1. If all she wants is the one at bedtime then she should be fine. Definately encourage her to drink out of a cup but and not have a bottle as it can affect their teeth.

it is formula she is on she been on that frm 6 months she has cow milk on her brekfast and has cows milk with her meals in her bottle / training cup .

They are supposed to off bottles and formula by 1. The formula won't hurt them after this, but is not necessary which is why they have toddler milks now. For those babies who just don't want to give it up. Just keep doing what you're doing, it's great she's doing that. Does she drink cow's milk from a cup or have it on her cereal or anything?

I wouldn't be worried, they say to give your child cows milk at 1 year, the fact that yours is cuttin gout her formula on her own is awesome! Keep up the good work. Just make sure she is getting enough of baby food/finger foods.
