I enjoy it lately when my little 3yr old tells people mummy has 10 kids and she wuvs us all!! People ask him all their names and he just turns around and splurts them all out sometimes getting mixed up. He and my 4.5 yr old really enjoy telling people about all their brithers and sisters as i have 5 of each, it gets even better when they now turn around and say yes and we are aunties and uncles now too and her name is Skye!!! Gee ya don't bet i get the looks then?? lol lol well they asked a question and then they get the answer straight outta the mouths of my little babes! I just luv it!! hugs to ya all Kids rule!! lol lol

Good on you for having 10 kids,I would love two more but my body just couldnt take it..bad spine and hips but admire anyone who has 10,3 or even just 1 cause its the best most significant thing a women and man can acheieve is to bring a baby into the world.

Even if you are a foster parent or ivf parents or what ever ,the joy of raising a child is like no other magic.It will amaze you and astound you at what an incredible thing a huuman is....Do you think i like kids bloody oath i do...lol.

This must be so annoying. Why oh why is it that as soon as you have any kids( i only have the one at the moment) does it mean anyone can make any kind of comment at all!.?

I know a lot of the time it's meant in a nice way but i've had all sorts of comments from old ladies mainly... where is her hat?? they ask after i've given up putting in on again for her to pull it off. Oh look the lights bothering her... no she just needs feeding etc etc it goes on. In the main it's fine but like you said if your getting tired it gets a bit much, why can't people mind there own. I even had a guy have a go at me recently because i dared to get on a busy train from the cbd. My blood absolutly boiled mainly because as my husband pointed out he would'nt have dared if it had been him behind the pram. I'm going to the uk on my own with her soon and i'm dreading other people's comments even though i know i should'nt let it trouble me.

I'm really looking forward to a public tantrum!! i always think i'll say if you can do any better then feel free! sometimes though don't you find the silent looks worse than the comments!

You should say yes they are and i'm proud of every one of them! x

Hey there i hear exactly what ya saying! Since i have 10 children everytime i have the younger 6 with me i get "are they all yours are there any twins triplets! did you adopt? Are you a foster mum to them all" Then when i let them know that these 6 are not even all of them they get a greater shock lol lol when they know i have ten i get the same thing as another person "do they have the same father?" What business is it of anyones how many children we have how many different fathers ? none no one has the right to judge us by the amount of children we as human beings decide to bear in our life! I like most with a big family probably wanted life this way as i know i did! I get so ******* off at the judgemental people in this world and most of them are ones who have no children as yet and think mainly of themselves! Not judging anyone as it is ones decision how many if any children to have! The great thing is when an elderly person asks me if they are all mine and i tell them i have ten they say gee you do not see big families anymore like the old days! Yes this is true but hey as the saying goes without children the world would no longer be populated lol lol! Hooray i say to anyone who chooses to have more than 2 children nowadays as yes it's true it may be hard but we get through it. Who agrees with that?? hugs to all us mum's on Minti

When my guys were all little we got this a lot! No larger families around and we went together or not at all. I just started with my wonderful line...well I liked it...Heavens no,I just felt like renting these!!! Silly,silly people,don't know what a blessing looks like!

I get you totally im always being asked "Do they all have the same father" i my god thats even more rude,who cares if i have a diferent dad for each one whats it to the shop goers or people in the street.Or the fact im having another one they say " you've already got 4 ,your a sucker for punishment".How is becoming a parent punishment...Im feeling for you i so many ways ...just walk away don't offer them any eplanation who are they?? .Have a nice day x

I know where you arte coming from.
Our youngest had a skull reconstruction when he was 6 months old and he has a different head shape to his older brother and we sometimes get told they must be from different fathers (usually joking but you wonder).

Its really stunning the things that people think they can ask or mention! I've even been told things like well, you sure waited a long time to have your last one, eh??? Or, all girls, eh? Wow, your husband must be disappointed! Oooh it just makes you want to give them a ....##@@&&^^++%%$ you know what I mean? After wiping my chin up off the floor the first few times, I've had people ask the fateful "are they all yours?" I have said, "Well, of course, who's else would they be?" Or, do you honestly think I'd take someone else's kids out in such a mob? (and I only have four!) Its as if you are punishing them by making them see such a big family. I have friends who have 10, they don't have a vehicle big enough for the whole group and so have to go anyplace in two vehicles. People don't even ask them anything, they just steer clear! Perhaps they have it better than some of us??!!! All the best!

I know it's soo annoying my sister has six, she does'nt go out anymore (drinking) she only went out once a month for that well earned break and she'd getall the comments "no tv in your house" haha very funny it could'nt be she chose to have six kids and is a fantastic mum na thats too hard to say. People are small minded and jelous if they had a life they would'nt be interfearing in your's all the time.

HI, on occasions I have been asked the same question,and I only have 4.I avoid having to take all 4 of my children out so I admire you for doing so,I could not handle it ,I would be mad by the end of the outing.Maybe that is what it is about the admiration that women have for you with all children in tow.You should be proud of the fact that you get comments on well behaved thay are as some children are just alowd to run wild in stores.Sorry I have probably sounded like one of those annoying women that stop you in the street,but I think taking that many kids out you should be mother of the year.

ugh! this must be so frustrating. i remember my mother having to answer the same question when we were kids and traipsing through the store. i remember people looking at us like we were taking up too much land/water/oxygen. all that said, maybe a funny/sassy/rude response that cracks you up is in order. here's a couple:

My Aunty gets this as her 2 girls have red hair to and look like our side of the family and her son looks just like his dad who is from singapore. its funny seing them walk around the shop and all the looks she gets. Mind you my Aunty is very out spoken and puts people in their place very quickly.

yeh i have the occational horrible weirdo that'll make a stupid remark. This one time this lady in her late 50's told me she feels sorry for me with a really horrid look on her face, the kids were all smileing away (stupid cow probabaly needed to have some lovin) and this check out chick told me she felt sorry for me, i replyed "no i'm actually really lucky' and just gave a big smile (well i am, why should i lie, i wouldn't have had that many if i didn't enjoy it, as i do not what contraception is lol) and i could go on and on

thats a great idea getting the kids to answer hmmmmm i might put that into practice hehe, i have to say though the kids have picked up on it and they have actually repeated my answers even before people ahve asked, the'll even continue to tell them how many there are and all there names and ages lol

I can imagine - & to think I sent you a message to say you had no right to look so fantastic with all those beautiful kids! OOPS!!!

Anyway, just say no, they aren't all yours, you haven't purchased them or anything - but you definitely belong to them. Or you cold be really naughty & speak in some made up language or something... Teach it to the kids so you can all jibber jabber.

I can DEFINITELY relate to this!!! As three of my boys are redheads, and one is dark haired, I get a lot of interesting questions. Are they all yours is one of the most common though. And then, are they from the same father...!!!

Hmm...it will be VERY interesting what baby number five looks like. I am hoping that it takes after my side of the family so then at least my 11 year old will have a sibling that looks like him. He feels like the "dark sheep" of our family, so it would be good for him.

It gets on my nerves sometimes too, so don't feel terrible about it.

yeh i know what ya mean sam, i get that too but more because they r so close in age 4, 3, 2 ,1 pregnant and they all stare like im some sorta freak. if people ask im nice if people stare im not i will make some comment and then that person tends to turn and run and i think sucked in for being so damn judgemental. people should be happy that we love our kids, and that they r well behaved (mine r too when shopping 98% of the time) and i find it the older generation that are judgemental not the younger ones. hang in there babe.

i guess if you are a bit worn out from answering, you could get the kids to do it?? lol, could imagine a littley answering saying ''well, yes she is our mummy'' and so on with the chatter little kids can go on forever hehe.
if you wanna really avoid it, you may have to change you shopping day... wednesdays are good over here, im in and out in an instant!
i have been asked if my son was mine as usually go shopping in my 'comfy' clothes so i look like a highschool student and told that im too young and blah blah blah lectures (like we made some big mistake PFT to them...), and when my mum goes with me she has to try and explain that she is the grandmother! lol!
oh well what can ya do....

I do know what you mean. I always have to stop and chat too when i go out. I only have 2 but I get "Oh wow they are so cute" "Oh how well behaved they are!" "Are they twins" Because they are 2 and 3 and are great when we go out. They look very much alike and are almost the same height so I do know what you mean. It does get annoying and some days are worse than others. But keep on forcing that smile ... keep on saying "i was just asked that' because your teaching your children fantastic manners and your obviously doing a great job!

yeh i realise they are being nice and it does make me feel proud. but!!! its getting soooo old, it gets to the point whenever i am asked more than 3 times in 5min i respond by saying "i was just asked that "with a forced smile, and that makes me feel really bad, cause i am a nice person, i don't want to be rude i also have gotton into the habit of imiditely stateing they are all from the same father, and this actually offends some people (as why should that matter anyway, but i don't want anyone thinking i'm a single mum who goes around haveing kids to all dofferent dads just so i can be on the pension)if you get my gist. There's always story's on these serial single mums with heaps of kids to different dads (but i don't think there very common)

Think of it this way hun, if they were misbehaved then noone would want to come within 10 feet of you or your kids and certainly wouldn't wanna talk to you. They must be great so people take notice and think they are doing a nice thing talking to you about how gorgeous and good they are! Get a top made that says "Yes! They ARE all mine" and wear it out :)

look at it in a possitive way they say your kids are well behaved be proud people will always stare but at least they are staring cause you look good for that many children yummy mummy be proud ,,,
