you're lucky my daughter is 7 months and she never stops!!!!

her sleep time varies and she wakes in the night too!!!

she's just like her big sister that way...

i wouldn't worry she sleeps and wakes and is happy that's all that matters.

Mine was going to bed at 6 at that age. 6:30 from around 18 months, now 7pm. Sometimes she doesn't last past 6:30 even now. I'm happy and if people look at me funny I just ask them what time their kids go to bed and give them a funny look right back even if it's quite a normal time, like 8 or 8:30. They soon stop looking at you funny when you look at them like they're from another planet LOL.

My 22 month old's bed time is 7:00pm and has been since she stopped breastfeeding later than that. Sometimes she'll stay up later depending on what's happening.

I find that if Lacey goes to bed late for no reason she wakes up early and I can't handle that at all.

Daddy gets home at 5 ish, they have two hours together for play, dinner, bath, story and then daddy gets to relax for a while before he goes to bed. I think he'd go mental if he didn't get time for himself.

Anthony is almost one and he is normally in bed by seven and sometimes as early as six if it has been a busy day. I think if a 7pm bedtime is working for you and your daughter, don't try and change it to suit everyone elses opinion. As a parent we do what we feel is best for our child not what everyone else wants.

She is telling you that she is ready for bed at that time if she is getting fussy. My son James is almost 12 months and was always in bed by 7 pm until a month ago when I changed it to 7:30. He has a very good bedtime routine which works for all of us, he is happy and my husband and I are happy to have the evening to ourselves. When setting a bed time initially I was guided by James watching for his signals rubbing his eyes, sucking his thumb etc. If I have not started his routine (the 4 B's bath, bottle, book, bed!) when he is tired then he gets as grumpy as me when I am tired

both my 2 used to be in bed by 8. and sleep through til 7 sometimes a bit more.

no there is nothing wrong. you should be proud you have her in a good routine.

Man! pay no attention to those kind of people - that REALLY ANNOYS me too! I feel like saying to those people HELLO it's a BABY!!! NOT AN ADULT! My sister has 3 children and her children have all been in bed by 6-7pm & no later since they were babies. The eldest is 7 and he still is in bed by 7pm. I think it's crazy to keep your child up as long as youi.e. 9 or 10pm because how are you going to break that habbit when they are older. By then they are use to being able to stay up as long as the parent. What message is that sending them. I have seen people I know keep their kids up till late watching movies etc even 2 year olds so by the time they are 5 they won't understand if all of a sudden you make them go to bed earlier. I understand that sometimes if they are simply not tired you can keep them up longer but don't go to extremes (only my opinion) Don't want to offend anyone have just seen friends kids later in life think that they deserve the same priviledges as the parent & therfore disrespect the parent because they are treated like mature adults far too soon. Sorry to rave on - just one of my per peeves. You are doing the right thing!

I have been told I put my kid to bed to early... He his set time is between 7.30pm and 8.00pm depending on the mood I am in or if I'd like a little sleep in he might be able to stay up until 9, but that is on rare occasions.. Sometimes he will fuss... But most times he won't..

I say if your little tike wants sleep by that time then so be it... :)

Hi there, my daughter is going on 11mths and is still going to bed between 6:30 and 7pm. I also have people look at me like I'm depriving her or something lol. But this is the way she's been since about 4mths. I say if she's happy and you're happy then everything is as it should be.

yep - whatever suits your baby and your family life. If she goes to bed at 7pm, then lucky you that she has a regular time! Some of my friends were still struggling to get their babies to sleep at all!

My toddlers go to bed around 7.30-8pm in winter but around 9pm in summer and all the grandparents raised their eyebrows at me, but the sun is still up at 8.30pm.

I agree with everybody else. There is nuthin wrong with the time she goes to bed. You do what you think is right and suits your baby. Both my gals went to bed between 8.30-9.00 at that age i tried anyway to strech it out to that time. Sometimes it didnt work but most times it did. In some cases i tried to keep them up that they would fall asleep in there high chair or on the floor playing lol. You know whats right. Tee

There is nothing wrong with this bedtime! My oldest goes to bed between 8 and 8.30 but my youngest (almost 5 months) goes anywhere from 7 to 9 (depending on his feeds as he's breastfed). Just depends on the individual child really. Don't worry what anyone else says or thinks - you are her mother and you know what works for you and your daughter. You are doing a great job!

My girl is the same. She is usually in bed by 7 unless she had a really late nap, and has done so since about 4 months.

Its a common time for my mothers group as well. Some still have babies up late but the majority have them in bed by 7.30-8.

Just consider yourself lucky! I do!

I think they are just jealous... You are her mum, and you can see that little change in their personality that signals 'bed time'. I bet from experience, you know that the longer you delay bed time, the harder she will be to settle, and the more distressed and inconsolable she will become.

Our Micro Man must be in bed between 7.30pm - 8pm, or he gets taken over by some wild gremlin personality - he won't settle easily, and he will wake during the night. This time came about based on his behaviour, and our routine with waiting up to see Daddy at night... That's our thing, I would like him to sleep sooner, however Dadda wouldn't get to have dinner with him and play with him.

It isn't about what 'time' it is on any clock, the input from bubs and mum in developing this routine at the beginning is about 50/50 I reckon - especially when they are young. Don't worry about what anyone thinks, it is working well for you, so keep it up, it is great to have a routine when they are so young - you will appreciate it more as she gets older.
