I have this great book called the baby whisperer, and it has a chart broken down into ages, by months, on about how much the child should eat. It says that by the time your chld is 1 they should be eating 3 meals a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and having 2 snacks. One in the morning and one in the afternonn. It also says that once a week at 1 year old you can start letting baby try the "proceed with caution" foods. They include diary products like cheese, yogurt, and cows milk, eggs, honey, beef, melon, berries, citrus fruits, pork and veal. But to stay away from nuts, shellfish and chocolate. If your baby is still breastfeeding or bottle feeding, try to cut it down to just twice a day, morning and night, by 18 months if not sooner ween them completely. When you start the milk, try to replace with with one bottle a day, then work up to two. This may take time, be patient and persistent. And look out for any allergies. I think you are supposed to give your child 2-3 sippy cups of milk (one sippy cup is about 8 ounces). But you will have to work up to it. And remember to use whole milk. Good luck, I have a neice a little older than yours if you have any more questions.
