I was also worried when he reach 10mo. and would still wake in the middle of the night. My Doctors advice was not to engage in him but just give a bottle of cool not cold water in a bottle. We did and in the first week I finally was able to sleep all night long. He's 13months now. Sleeping in his own bed from 9:30 at night till about 7:30,8ish like clockwork. Of course he finds his sippy cup and wakes me right away for his morning drink.

My fat little baby who is now 10 months has exactly the same pattern as your baby at the moment. He is a big boy and eats a healthy good sized dinner, has a bottle, but still wakes up. So I am just resigned to the fact that it will be a few more months of unbroken sleep, don't let it bother you as all babies are different and enjoy it, she obiviously loves being close to you

I agree with all of these responses and did try them all.
In this order:
1. Try just resettling and give her nothing but "blankie", pacifier, hugs, change nappy etc
2. Give water in a bottle
3. Then try milk once and give more solids the next day. I ended up giving my daughter milk during the night - sometimes, it's just easier ...

If after giving more solids she still wakes, try the above things each time and be persistent! You'll know when to give in. Sometimes, she will even just have a little milk and go back off - which is a pest too because you'll feel you have to go and get the bottle out again so you know she wont have off milk in the bed in the morning!

Good Luck! Hope she falls for the water routine - will make life easier all round!

They all go through stages where they wake up, once a child sleeps through thte night without eating, you shouldn't go back to giving them a bottle b/c they think that is how they go back to sleep. Sounds like she wakes up, rolls over, whatever, and can't settle herself back to sleep. Try to go in, give her a pacifier, blankie etc, then LEAVE. We went through this with ours, don't get her out of bed. She is too big to be eating in the middle of the night.

I had the exact same problem. I also followed the Gina Ford Routine and she suggests to give the last milk feed at 10.30pm and then give the baby water at 3am instead of milk. I tried it and only had to do it 3 times and she gave.. i guess water wasnt worth wakeing up for!
