Does she have her eye teeth? I know my son started waking up a bit when he was getting his eye teeth - bad dreams, my brother had the same problem. Apparently eye teeth can cause night terrors, or bad dreams - who knew!?! The other suggestions are good too - any shadows? Could possibly be a growth spurt too ...

Hi, Could be a few reasons but the first answer is to persist in putting her back in her bed. Next check the room with the lights out - is anything creating shadows or shapes that could scare her when she wakes - pur yourself in her shoes for this. I used to think there was a goanna on my matress but it was the shapes of the matress cover when the sheet was pulled back! Next make sure the room is calm without heaps of stimulation like mobile, lots of decoration etc and all the toys do not look at her bed - this scares too. I am on this path because it sounds like she got a fright and hasn't integrated it yet. When all else failed I got out the 'boogie man and monster repellant spray'. Natural air freshener with a hand made convincing label and sprayed to room. My second son was 'very sensitive' and could see beyond the normal - the spray worked every time for him. best of luck and don't beat yourself up for being tired - that is not going to do anyone any good at all. Pat yourself on the back and say I'm doing the best I can - true fact!

I don't know how to stop this so what I do is when she coming into my bed I get up & put her back to bed, lay with her for a min to make sure she is back to sleep & then go back to bed (unless I end up falling asleep in her bed lol)

That is what has worked for me.

I understand that your son may have been upset about no going to kinda but unfortunately when you are that tiered not everything goes as planed.

So once again you are not a bad mother you were a tiered mother who needed a little extra sleep that morning (which you are fully entitled to being a mother)

I hope things work out for you good luck
