I started using a doona at around 12 months with the oldest, and the youngest is 6 months &amp; just has a sheet &amp; a few blankets (depending on the weather) on him. I wouldn't use a doona before 12 months as youneed to be sure they are able to remove it from their face easily. Tuck the sheet &amp; blankets in &amp; if he is still getting out of them put him in a sleeping bag. Hope this helps.</p>

They are fantastic and come in all sizes and summer and winter. My daughter used hers right up until she went to her big bed at the age of almost 2yrs. Now my 6mth old is in the sleeping bag. They are great there is pleanty of room to move around and the stay warm all night!]]></content:encoded>
