all the best sweetie and i hope its nothing to bad to worry about

When i was pregnant with my 1st baby 16 yrs ago I had major hip and leg pain and was told to get over it as it was all normal BUT mine wasn't. It turned out that I in-fact had a rather large blood clot in my hip . . I tell you this NOT to scare you just to make you aware . . .

I hope all goes well with your pregnancy and good luck
Cheers Kellz

I had the same problem - massage is good, but until you are able to sleep on your back or tummy the pressure will be put onto those hips!

neway i got a referal to the hospital physio where they suplied me with an elastic support belt wich helped keep everything in place.... amazingly no more pain or problems at least till i went into labour and thats just different all together lol

But in the latter stages of pregnancy I was in agony, it also lasted for about 8 months after pregnancy. It felt like my hips did not belong to me! The only thing I found that helped was walking, walking and more walking. One day it just stopped, although even now I will get up from sitting and my hips make a cracking noise lol

Mention it to your midwife/OBGYN just to make sure it is nothing more serious and if they can recommend something. Good luck!

The lovely hormones that loosen up your pelvic region ready for birth, get a bit carried away. This causes an over losening of the cartilage and ligaments in the pubic and sacreileac area of the pelvis. It can start at any time during the pregnacy. It makes your hips unstable and can cause mild or chronic pain. Dont suffer in silence it can get debilitating. Talk to you midwife and get weekly physio. There is lots of info and support sites on the web that will give you an indication. I wish you all the best,Ive been there.so dont hesitate to contact me if you feel the need. Congrats on the bump by the way.Winnie
