Dont stress about the cleanliness of the house. Take time out with the kids individually .Everybody talking or fighting at once can add to stress.

Children can easliy pick up the signs of an unhappy parent. so its great for the whole family if mum is happy and healthy.

Once a day (usually after the baby is in bed asleep), I stop doing laundry, chores etc, take a hot bath, read a book and DON'T think about anything but you. Every few months I go get a massage too and DO NOT take my phone with me. Good luck to you, mommyhood can be so stressfull!

I used to have a really stressful job and I started kickboxing and it was fantastic!

If you can arrange for someone to take care of bub for you, for just a couple of hours, so you can take time out just for yourself...to do what ever you wish....or simlpy to do nothing...everyone needs some space to them selves. I also like the warm bath, with some essential oil ( lavender is nice), turn the main light out & just have a couple of candles glowing...put your favorite piece of music on & drift off to a place where you feel good.

I would go with the exercise thing. If you can get to a gym class or even go for a really fast walk, it works for me. Maybe even a nice long bath with a bath bomb after if you can.

Someone told me of this herbal stuff you put under your tongue, I cant remember what it is called, but apparently it tastes grose. You could check out a health shop to see if they have anything - otherwise maybe a relaxation class or massage. Goodluck

Punching a pillow lets repressed stress out even if you can't feel it. Next one is write out your anger, stress, reasons and feeling on paper - go for broke and don't hold back. Once it is on paper take it outside and burn it in a safe container - all the stress goes up in smoke. Scrunch your shoulders up really really tight and then let them drop completely - i do this most days as we all tend to take it into our shoulders from computer, holding a baby, driving etc. Good Luck L&L Robyn

Is there someone that come and look after the kids one day a week for a few hours? If so take some time out for yourself........go to a movie, have a coffee, window shopping....and actually try some clothes on, if even you don't buy them, it's fun to try them on. Got to the gym.....it's fantastic for stress relief, especially aerobics classes and boxing. Get your hair done, manicure, pedicure........yes I know some of these things are bit materialistic but you will be amazed at taking some time to yourself and doing something just for you feels like.
