Just wanted to add that there is an acupressure point between the thumb and the index finger, in that fleshy area of the hand, that is a headache spot. Putting pressure on this can help with relieving headaches. I've tried it on myself and it does work......don't know about for a migrane though they are pretty severe.
Anyway hope it helps.

Before I answer you have read the other answer to avoid repetation. They are all right. I would definately get her scanned first of all and follow the other advises. Trinking a lot of water slows down the headache. I felt so sorry for her because I know very well

if it is a food sensitivity then there are a number of likely culprits - especially the amines (chocolate, cheeses, bananas, etc) where headaches are concerned. It could be MSG (which occurs naturally in some foods not just as an additive), or a reaction to a preservative such as E282 Calcium Propionate, BHT, Sodium Meta Bisulphate etc etc It can be a real detective job. To complicate matters further there is a possibility of sensitivity to a perfume, to some outgassing from various household items, phenols - the list goes on !

One of the very best sites for related information is the Food Intolerance Network managed by Sue Dengate. if you are from Australia then you have probably heard of her and the amazing work she has done to bring these things to public and professional notice.

Not meaning to scare you, but migraines (or even very bad headaches) can be a sign of something. Just as an example, I know a woman who suffered migraines for years - she finally had a CT scan & had a cyst on her brain - she had it removed and was fine. Some people just suffer these things without cause, but she is young - best to be safe than sorry.

I find now that I don't get many migraines. I think the cause of the majority of mine was being dehydrated. That and the fact that I used to worry about anything and everything!!!

Here's hoping your daughter grows out of it also.

Good luck with it all.
