From a small scratch, that ended up infected from gardening ( and we all know that children end up with VERY grubby fingers) I had oral antibiotics which, as I left it too long before seeking assistance, didn't work. I now have half my thumb missing and only half a thumb nail! PLEASE don't mess around with nasty infections!!!

Infections can spread and be dangerous so don't chance it - take her to the doctor.
