as far as i'm aware a hpt can not give a false positive. if you are pregnant you'll have the hormone hgc being produced so the test will detect it and hense a positive result. i think it is possible for the test to not detect this hormone and give a negetive result when in actual fact it has just missed the hormone and the result should have been positive. I've probably totally confused you with that...anyhow, my little knowledge says that if the test says your pregnant then your pregnant!!! And congratulations...!!!!!
