Severe flat head will not go away on its own, especially if the baby is older (9 months and older).

I discovered it when they were 9 weeks old. Thankfully, with the repositioning technique, they didn't need to be banded (helmet). One thing about flat head, it's easier to see from the top, on the mirror! Maybe perhaps you can somehow wander in front of the mirror with her baby and then tell her that you notice ...
