It will last you ages, and all you have to do is put a little teaspoon in yoghurt or in your cereal. I have porridge most mornings and mix it in there or you can actually just mix some with a little warm water or milk and drink it straight. It actually aids in helping the bowel to absorb water, therefor helping you go. Also dont push when you go, make sure you raise your heels, lean forward slightly and blow out long and slow from your mouth which should be relaxed and ever so lightly open for the air to escape,as if blowing a candle out, just practice while your sitting there, you should feel your muscles in your side working. slowly but surely you should poo effortlessly

good luck

Eat lots of pears, apricots and prunes - avoid apples all together. I like the idea of the fruchocs - perfect for the cravings too, LOL! Try and eat wholemeal bread, pasta and rice to increase your fibre intake and taking Omega3 can also help & is good for you and your babies brain development. Good luck!

I too have been suffering from constipation and found that having more fibre and drinking more water has helped, you could also try a stool softening med such as lactolose but you should consult your pharmacist first.

I learned from experience on this one and am getting in early this time LOL. Also great to add to babies formula if they get stopped up but only half a capsual (I snip the top off and add it to milk) Just like buying the expensive formula with added omega 3. Dont give to babies every day though as it will give them the runs if you do so just when neccessary.

When i was pregnant with the twins i had a lot of trouble too, because it was Christmas time i was eating Rum Balls (way too many i think) and believe it or not it helped my constipation heaps. I think it was because the recipe i had made them from Weet-Bix and i think the coconut in them helped move things along too. Also it was suggested to me by my midwife to use a small step stool in the toilet, when i sat i put my feet on it and for some reason this helped too. Maybe you could try a not so ripe banana, not too green but just before it is ripe, i did that after having my 1st becasue i was so scared the 1st time going to the loo after labour! Good luck and i hope things get better soon!
