Could hubby give you a massage? Even laying on your side, I found this really helped. Lavender oil could be put with the massage oil. I had tons of pillows, I put them on my side and between my legs. I also had enough so that I was raised a bit as well. Laying flat was impossible.

As for the panic attacks, is there a trusted friend or family member you could confide your fears to? Talking about your worries can ease your mind. Try not to stress about the little things or even the housework. If hubby can look after your other children for a while, then use this time to sleep.

I take it that you already have other children? If they have an afternoon nap, lay down when they do. Even if you don't sleep, just close your eyes and relax. In your mind, picture each part of your body, head to toe, slowly relaxing. Try laying in bed with pillows alongside your body, supporting you and your legs. Ask your partner on weekends when they are not working, to take over getting up to the toddler so that you can relax. Try listening to soft relaxation music and clear your mind, easier said than done but worth the effort! Maybe a soak in a bath if that's possible, some candles, music or a book.

Contact your nearest women's health centre and see what assistance they can offer. It's important that you take time out for yourself and get the sleep you need.

To add to the good advice you've already received, also try chamomile tea. I don't like it myself but I've often read it is a good relaxer. Relaxation music can help, too, as it helps clear your mind.

As Libby said, lavender oil in a burner is great, but if you are like me & don't like to leave a burner going during the night, just dab some of the oil on or near your pillow. Actually, I'm sure there is a baby powder with lavender in it - you could use that, too.

I used to find hot water bottles a big help with aches. I would ache in my upper part of my legs so I'd sit the hot water bottle on them. When laying on your side (pretty much the only way you can lay at this stage of pregnancy!) tuck pillows under your stomach & between your legs. I once saw a body pillow in a pregnancy mag - no idea where you'd get those, maybe someone who reads this may know? But they are really long.

I'm guessing you are rather uncomfortable right now too. you've already been given some advice on relaxation therapies, but they don't stop the pains and aches etc from that baby sitting way down low. If you wake in the middle of the night with the feeling your legs are being pulled off, get up and walk around for 5 mins. ...

Hope that helps. I have already started having to do this, and I still have 14 weeks to go!
