I get my daughter up most nights before I go to bed, but often she's already wet the bed by the time I get there. Or she will later in the night despite my efforts.

My daughter is a heavy sleeper. By the time she lets herself fall asleep she's so tired nothing will wake her up. She sometimes gets up and wanders to the living room becuase she needs the bathroom but is completly unaware of what is going on. In the morning I will ask her about getting up and she will have no memory of getting up.

The alarm might work to teach her to get up on her own and use the toilet. I may try that as I too am sometimes experated by having to change the sheets frequently.

Other advice is see your doctor. They will check the child for infection. but I wouldn't give my child any of the medications as they are only for symptoms and don't teach the child how to stay dry at night/get up and use the bathroom and that is the long term answer.

I had a sister that still wet the bed at times when she was 15, some children do have week bladders, if you are realy concerned I would suggest a chat with your local Dr.

He seemed to not care about it either, out of shear frustration my brother lost it and told his son that he would not be allowed to play the xbox for a week! My nephew was devestated, that night he made it through dry, my brother was so impressed he gave back the xbox privillages my nephew then made it through 5 nights in a row dry. An accident here and there my brother didn't worry about but if it seemed that my nephew didn't seem to care again then he would take something away. This has been a year now and there has been no problem since.

Please know that this is just one situation your daughter may be completely different just thought I'd write in what worked for my brother! Good Luck!!!

Have you tried setting an alarm clock for every 3 hours or so, so that way she gets used to waking up to go to the toilet? I know it may be a real hassle for you to get up every few hours, but hopefully after a week or two of it, your daughter will wake on her own and go to the toilet on her own at night....

Also I find either cutting out all drinks after dinner or get your child up to go to the toilet just as your going to bed.

Hope these can help good luck
